ٱلۡحَآقَّةُ
1. The Inevitable Truth (of the Hour).
التفاسير:
2
:
69
مَا ٱلۡحَآقَّةُ
2. What is the Inevitable Truth 'of the Hour'?
التفاسير:
3
:
69
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحَآقَّةُ
3. And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Truth (of the Hour) is?
التفاسير:
4
:
69
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ وَعَادُۢ بِٱلۡقَارِعَةِ
4. (The people of) Thamud and ‘Aad denied the Striking (Hour of Resurrection).
التفاسير:
5
:
69
فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهۡلِكُواْ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ
5. So as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by the violent storm (of thunder and lightning).
التفاسير:
6
:
69
وَأَمَّا عَادٞ فَأُهۡلِكُواْ بِرِيحٖ صَرۡصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٖ
6. And as for (the people of) ‘Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming violent wind.
التفاسير:

69
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَبۡعَ لَيَالٖ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومٗاۖ فَتَرَى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ فِيهَا صَرۡعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٍ خَاوِيَةٖ
7. Which He imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so you would see the people therein lying lifeless as if they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.

فَهَلۡ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٖ
8. Then do you see of them any remains?
التفاسير:
9
:
69
وَجَآءَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَن قَبۡلَهُۥ وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلۡخَاطِئَةِ
9. And Pharaoh came, (i.e., after Thamud and Aad) and (those) before him and the overturned cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah - the people of Lot) with (continuous) sin.

69
فَعَصَوۡاْ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ أَخۡذَةٗ رَّابِيَةً
10. So they disobeyed their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an exceeding seizure.
التفاسير:
11
:
69
إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلۡمَآءُ حَمَلۡنَٰكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡجَارِيَةِ
11. Surely, when the water overflowed, We carried you in the floating Ship [1].
1. That was constructed by Noah.

:
69
لِنَجۡعَلَهَا لَكُمۡ تَذۡكِرَةٗ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٞ وَٰعِيَةٞ
12. That We might make it a Reminder for you, and a conscious ear may be conscious of it.
التفاسير:
13
:
69
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي ٱلصُّورِ نَفۡخَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ
13. So when the trumpet is blown with a single blowing,
التفاسير:
14
:
69
وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ
14. And the earth and the mountains are borne up, and then crushed with a single crushing.
التفاسير:
15
:
69
فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ
15. Then, on that Day, the (inevitable) Event (of Resurrection) will occur,
التفاسير:
16
:
69
وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِيَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ وَاهِيَةٞ
16. And the sky will split asunder, so on that Day it will be frail,
التفاسير:
17
:
69
وَٱلۡمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرۡجَآئِهَاۚ وَيَحۡمِلُ عَرۡشَ رَبِّكَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ ثَمَٰنِيَةٞ
17. And the angels will be on its borders; and there will carry the Throne of your Lord above them, that day, eight (of them) .
التفاسير:
18
:
69
يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُعۡرَضُونَ لَا تَخۡفَىٰ مِنكُمۡ خَافِيَةٞ
18. That Day you will be brought forth (before your Lord for Judgment) - not a secret of you will be hidden.
التفاسير:
19
:
69
فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقۡرَءُواْ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ
19. As for him who is given his record (of deeds) in his right hand, he will then say: "Here it is, read my record (of deeds)."
التفاسير:
20
:
69
إِنِّي ظَنَنتُ أَنِّي مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهۡ
20. I knew for sure that I would face my reckoning.
التفاسير:
21
:
69
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ
21. So he is in a satisfied livelihood,
التفاسير:
22
:
69
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ
22. In a lofty paradise,
التفاسير:
23
:
69
قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٞ
23. Its picked (fruits) are near at hand:
التفاسير:
24
:
69
كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَآ أَسۡلَفۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَيَّامِ ٱلۡخَالِيَةِ
24. "Eat and drink pleasantly for what you sent forth before you in the days past."
التفاسير:
25
:
69
وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهۡ
25. As for him who is given his record (of deeds) in his left hand, he will then say: “Oh, would that I had not been given my record,

:
69
وَلَمۡ أَدۡرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهۡ
26. And had not known what (is) my reckoning,
التفاسير:
27
:
69
يَٰلَيۡتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلۡقَاضِيَةَ
27. O would that it (death) had been the final end,
التفاسير:
28
:
69
مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهۡۜ
28. (It) has not availed me my money,
التفاسير:
29
:
69
هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلۡطَٰنِيَهۡ
29. Perished from me is my authority.
التفاسير:
30
:
69
خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ
30. "Seize him and shackle him,
التفاسير:
31
:
69
ثُمَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ
31. Then into the Hell burn him,
التفاسير:
32
:
69
ثُمَّ فِي سِلۡسِلَةٖ ذَرۡعُهَا سَبۡعُونَ ذِرَاعٗا فَٱسۡلُكُوهُ
32. Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits, insert him.
التفاسير:
33
:
69
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
33. Surely he used not to believe in Allāh, the Most Great,
التفاسير:
34
:
69
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ
34. And he used not to encourage the feeding of the poor,
التفاسير:
35
:
69
فَلَيۡسَ لَهُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٞ
35. So today he has not here (any) intimate (friend),
التفاسير:
36
:
69
وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنۡ غِسۡلِينٖ
36. Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds,
التفاسير:
37
:
69
لَّا يَأۡكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡخَٰطِـُٔونَ
37. None will eat it except the sinners.
التفاسير:
38
:
69
فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَا تُبۡصِرُونَ
38. But nay! I swear by what you (O people) see,
التفاسير:
39
:
69
وَمَا لَا تُبۡصِرُونَ
39. And what you do not (O people) see.
التفاسير:
40
:
69
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولٖ كَرِيمٖ
40. Indeed, (this Qur’an) is the (inspired) Word of (God brought by) a noble Messenger [²],
2. I.e., the Prophet Muhammad
التفاسير:
41
:
69
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَاعِرٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تُؤۡمِنُونَ
41.And it is not the saying of a poet - little do you believe,
التفاسير:
42
:
69
وَلَا بِقَوۡلِ كَاهِنٖۚ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
42. Nor is it the word of a soothsayer [3] - little it is that you remember.
3. Muhammad, God's Messenger (ﷺ) said: “He is not a believer who seeks omens or has omens interpreted for him; or who practices fortunetelling or has his fortune told; or who practices magic or goes to have it done for him; and whoever goes to a soothsayer and believes in what he says has disbelieved in (God and) His Scripture." Omens are not true. Omens are not from Allāh (God). So one should not listen to any religion, scriptures, tradition, customs, or parents and elders, that give authenticity to omens.
التفاسير:
43
:
69
تَنزِيلٞ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
43. (This is) a Revelation sent down from (Allāh) Lord of all beings.
التفاسير:
44
:
69
وَلَوۡ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيۡنَا بَعۡضَ ٱلۡأَقَاوِيلِ
44. Had (Muhammad) fabricated some 'false' sayings against Us,
التفاسير:
45
:
69
لَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُ بِٱلۡيَمِينِ
45. We would have seized him by the right hand (a mighty seizing) [⁴],
4. Another interpretation is "by [Our] right Hand," and Allāh would have exacted revenge with might and power.
التفاسير:
46
:
69
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعۡنَا مِنۡهُ ٱلۡوَتِينَ
46. Then We would certainly have cut-off from him the aorta.
التفاسير:
47
:
69
فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ عَنۡهُ حَٰجِزِينَ
47. And not anyone of you could have prevented Us from him.
التفاسير:
48
:
69
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذۡكِرَةٞ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
48. And surely, it (this Qur’an) is an admonition for the righteous.
التفاسير:
49
:
69
وَإِنَّا لَنَعۡلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ
49. And indeed, We surely know that among you are deniers.
التفاسير:
50
:
69
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسۡرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
50. And indeed, it is surely a source of regret to the disbelievers.
التفاسير:
51
:
69
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
51. And indeed, it (this Qur’an) is the Truth of certainty.
التفاسير:
52
:
69
فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
52. So glorify the Name of your Lord 'Allāh' the Most Great [5].
5. The Prophet Muhammad, while he was bowing down in the prayer, he would say: (Subhāna Rabbiyal Azim); “Glorious is 'Allāh' my Lord, the Magnificent” and while prostrating: (Subhāna Rabbiyal A’la) ‘Glorious is 'Allāh' my Lord, the Most High.’
Exalting Allāh, Lord of the epeople, King of the people, God of the people, praising His Name. Great is Allāh the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can encompass."
