31. When she heard at their (i.e., women's) guile, she sent for them, prepared for them a banquet, and gave each of them a knife, and said (to Joseph): "Come out to them." So when they saw him, they were so amazed 'by his handsomeness, and cut their hands, and said: "Perfect is Allāh, this is not a mortal man, this is but a noble angel."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
32. She said: "This is the one about whom you blamed me, and I indeed sought to seduce him, but he abstained. If he does not do what I order him with, he will surely be imprisoned, and certainly will be of those who are humiliated."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
33. (Joseph) said: "My Lord, prison is dearer to me than that to which they invite me. And if you do not turn away from me their guile, I I might incline to them, and become 'one' of the ignorants."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
34. So his Lord (Allāh) accepted his prayer and turned away from him their (women's) scheme. He is surely the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
35. Then it appeared to them after they had seen the signs (of his innocence) that they should surely imprison him for a while9.
9. So that people would forget the scandal.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
36. And two youth entered the prison with him. One of them said: "I saw myself (in a dream) pressing wine." And the other said: "I saw myself (in a dream) carrying bread on my head of which birds ate." Inform us of its interpretation. Surely we see you are one of the good-doers."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
37. (Joseph) said: "There will not come to you both any food which you are provided, but I can inform you of its interpretation before it comes to you." that is of what my Lord (Allāh) has taught me10. I have forsaken the religion of a people who do not believe in Allāh, and they are deniers of the Hereafter:
10. As well as the interpretation of the dreams and events.
