ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߕ߭ߤߊ߫ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊ - ߊ߳ߺߊߓߑߘߎ߫ ߊ.ߟߟߊ߯ߤߌ߫ ߤ߭ߛߊߣߎ߲߫ ߦߊ߰ߞߎߓߊ߫ - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

Tā-ha

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 1

طه

1. Ta Ha¹.

1. The Qur’an is made up of such letters from the Arabic alphabet. The Arabs at the time of revelation were the unmatched masters of the Arabic language and yet when challenged were totally unable to bring anything like the Qur’an. Although these disjointed Arabic letters are referring to the inimitable nature of the Qur’an and its divine source, God knows best its meaning.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 2

مَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِتَشۡقَىٰٓ

2. We have not revealed the Qur’an to you 'Muhammad' to cause you distress².

2. Worrying yourself for those who refuse belief.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 3

إِلَّا تَذۡكِرَةٗ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰ

3. But, only as a Reminder to who is in awe 'of Allāh'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 4

تَنزِيلٗا مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ ٱلۡعُلَى

4. 'It is' a Revelation from 'Allāh' Who created the earth and the high heavens.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 5

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ

5. The Most Compassionate 'Allāh' rose over the Throne.

3. In a manner that suits His Majesty.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 6

لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحۡتَ ٱلثَّرَىٰ

6. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, all that is between them, and all that is under the soil.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 7

وَإِن تَجۡهَرۡ بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ وَأَخۡفَى

7. Whether you speak aloud 'or not', Allāh knows the secret, and what is yet more concealed.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 8

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ لَهُ ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ

8. Allāh - there is no 'true' god except Him; to Him belongs the most excellent Names.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 9

وَهَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ

9. Has the story of Moses come to you?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 10

إِذۡ رَءَا نَارٗا فَقَالَ لِأَهۡلِهِ ٱمۡكُثُوٓاْ إِنِّيٓ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارٗا لَّعَلِّيٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنۡهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوۡ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدٗى

10. When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Stay here, for I spotted a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom or find guidance at the fire."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 11

فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِيَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

11. So when he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses:

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 12

إِنِّيٓ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكَ فَٱخۡلَعۡ نَعۡلَيۡكَ إِنَّكَ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوٗى

12. Indeed, I am 'Allāh' your Lord, so take off your sandals; for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 13

وَأَنَا ٱخۡتَرۡتُكَ فَٱسۡتَمِعۡ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ

13. I have chosen you 'as My messenger', so listen to what is revealed:

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 14

إِنَّنِيٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعۡبُدۡنِي وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكۡرِيٓ

14. Indeed, I am Allāh, there is no 'true' god except Me, so worship Me alone, and keep up the prayer for My Remembrance.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 15

إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخۡفِيهَا لِتُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا تَسۡعَىٰ

15. The Hour 'of Doom' is certainly coming, and My Will is to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be recompensed for that which it strives for 'in life'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 16

فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنۡهَا مَن لَّا يُؤۡمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرۡدَىٰ

16. So do not let turn you away from it 'one' who does not believe in it and follows his low desires, for you then would perish4."

4. Moses, who was raised in Pharaoh’s palace and had a promising future, fled Egypt and was living in obscurity as a shepherd when Allāh called him. Moses must have thought he had nothing to offer Allāh, but he learned that Allāh can use anyone and anything for His glory. We don’t need much to be used by Allāh. We can simply serve Him with the talents He has given us. 

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 17

وَمَا تِلۡكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

17. What is that in your right hand, Moses?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 18

قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّؤُاْ عَلَيۡهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخۡرَىٰ

18. 'Moses' replied: "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it, and I need it for other reasons ."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 19

قَالَ أَلۡقِهَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ

19. 'Allāh' said: "Cast it down, Moses".

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 20

فَأَلۡقَىٰهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَيَّةٞ تَسۡعَىٰ

20. So he cast it down; and at once it was a snake moving rapidly.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 21

قَالَ خُذۡهَا وَلَا تَخَفۡۖ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

21. 'Allāh' said: "Take it and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 22

وَٱضۡمُمۡ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَيۡضَآءَ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ سُوٓءٍ ءَايَةً أُخۡرَىٰ

22. And place your hand into your side, it will come out 'shining' white, unblemished, as another Sign;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 23

لِنُرِيَكَ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا ٱلۡكُبۡرَى

23. That We may show you some of Our Greater signs:

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 24

ٱذۡهَبۡ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

24. Go to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 25

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشۡرَحۡ لِي صَدۡرِي

25. Moses prayed: "Lord, expand for me my chest 'grant me contentment, boldness,etc'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 26

وَيَسِّرۡ لِيٓ أَمۡرِي

26. Make my task easy for me,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 27

وَٱحۡلُلۡ عُقۡدَةٗ مِّن لِّسَانِي

27. And loosen the knot from my tongue,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 28

يَفۡقَهُواْ قَوۡلِي

28. That they may understand my speech;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 29

وَٱجۡعَل لِّي وَزِيرٗا مِّنۡ أَهۡلِي

29. And appoint for me a helper from my family:

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 30

هَٰرُونَ أَخِي

30. Aaron, my brother,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 31

ٱشۡدُدۡ بِهِۦٓ أَزۡرِي

31. Strength by him my back,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 32

وَأَشۡرِكۡهُ فِيٓ أَمۡرِي

32. And let him share my task,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 33

كَيۡ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرٗا

33. So that we may glorify You much5.

5. By negating likeness, partners, and whatever it is inappropriate to you.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 34

وَنَذۡكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا

34. And remember You often6.

6. With honor and praise, so that You may be Pleased with us.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 35

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرٗا

35. Indeed, You are ever Seeing of us."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 36

قَالَ قَدۡ أُوتِيتَ سُؤۡلَكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

36. 'Allāh' said: "You have been granted your request, O Moses.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 37

وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَيۡكَ مَرَّةً أُخۡرَىٰٓ

37. Indeed, We bestowed on you a favor at another time;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 38

إِذۡ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ

38. When We inspired to your mother what was inspired, saying:

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 39

أَنِ ٱقۡذِفِيهِ فِي ٱلتَّابُوتِ فَٱقۡذِفِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ فَلۡيُلۡقِهِ ٱلۡيَمُّ بِٱلسَّاحِلِ يَأۡخُذۡهُ عَدُوّٞ لِّي وَعَدُوّٞ لَّهُۥۚ وَأَلۡقَيۡتُ عَلَيۡكَ مَحَبَّةٗ مِّنِّي وَلِتُصۡنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيۡنِيٓ

39. "Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, the river will throw him to the shore; there he will be taken by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him, and I cast down upon you 'Moses' Love from Me, so that you would be brought up under My 'watchful' Eye7;

7. I.e., Care, Sight, and Protection.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 40

إِذۡ تَمۡشِيٓ أُخۡتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكۡفُلُهُۥۖ فَرَجَعۡنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَيۡ تَقَرَّ عَيۡنُهَا وَلَا تَحۡزَنَۚ وَقَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسٗا فَنَجَّيۡنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونٗاۚ فَلَبِثۡتَ سِنِينَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِ مَدۡيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئۡتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٖ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

40. When your sister8 walked by and said: "Shall I direct you to someone who will take charge of him?" So We brought you back to your mother, that her eyes might be cooled 'with joy', and that she would not grieve. You killed a man, then We saved you from the grief, and tried you with many trials. You stayed for several years among the people of Midian; then you came here at the decreed time, O Moses.

8. Miriam.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 41

وَٱصۡطَنَعۡتُكَ لِنَفۡسِي

41. For I have produced you for Myself;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 42

ٱذۡهَبۡ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِـَٔايَٰتِي وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكۡرِي

42. Go, you and your brother "Aaron' with My signs and never tire of remembering Me

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 43

ٱذۡهَبَآ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ

43. Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed 'all bounds';

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 44

فَقُولَا لَهُۥ قَوۡلٗا لَّيِّنٗا لَّعَلَّهُۥ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوۡ يَخۡشَىٰ

44. Speak to him a gentle word, perhaps he may take heed or stand in awe of Allāh."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 45

قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفۡرُطَ عَلَيۡنَآ أَوۡ أَن يَطۡغَىٰ

45. Both said: "Our Lord, we are afraid that he might persecute us or transgress."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 46

قَالَ لَا تَخَافَآۖ إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَآ أَسۡمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

46. 'Allāh' said: "Fear not, I am with you both: I hear and see 'everything'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 47

فَأۡتِيَاهُ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبۡهُمۡۖ قَدۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِـَٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكَۖ وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ

47. So go to him and say: "We are two messengers of your Lord 'Allāh'; so send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them. Indeed we have come to you with a Sign from 'Allāh' your Lord, and peace will be upon him who follows the 'right' Guidance".

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 48

إِنَّا قَدۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيۡنَآ أَنَّ ٱلۡعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

48. It is revealed to us that the torment will be upon whoever denies 'the Truth' and turns away from it.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 49

قَالَ فَمَن رَّبُّكُمَا يَٰمُوسَىٰ

49. (Pharaoh) asked them: "Who then is the Lord of you two, O Moses?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 50

قَالَ رَبُّنَا ٱلَّذِيٓ أَعۡطَىٰ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلۡقَهُۥ ثُمَّ هَدَىٰ

50. 'Moses' said: "Our Lord is Allāh, Who gave everything its nature and form, then guided it."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 51

قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ ٱلۡقُرُونِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

51. (Pharaoh) asked: "Then what about the former generations?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 52

قَالَ عِلۡمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي فِي كِتَٰبٖۖ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّي وَلَا يَنسَى

52. 'Moses' said: "The Knowledge thereof is with 'Allāh' my Lord in a Record, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 53

ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَهۡدٗا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمۡ فِيهَا سُبُلٗا وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّن نَّبَاتٖ شَتَّىٰ

53. 'He it is" Who made the earth as a cradle for you, and set therein pathways for you, and sends down water from the sky; bringing forth with it many species of various plants.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 54

كُلُواْ وَٱرۡعَوۡاْ أَنۡعَٰمَكُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلنُّهَىٰ

54. So eat and pasture your cattle; there are certainly Signs in this for people of sound intellect.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 55

۞ مِنۡهَا خَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمۡ وَمِنۡهَا نُخۡرِجُكُمۡ تَارَةً أُخۡرَىٰ

55. From it 'the earth' We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you out once again 'for Judgment'9.

9. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return. For Allāh knows how we are formed, and that we are dust. This remind us that Allāh breathed life into the dust of the earth. And when we pass away on earth, our bodies shall return to dust. Everyone will experience bodily death. Nevertheless, we will not necessarily have to experience spiritual death. Even though our bodies will turn to ash, our spirits can live eternally with Allāh. We also have the hope of a new resurrection of the body that we will experience one day as well.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 56

وَلَقَدۡ أَرَيۡنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَىٰ

56. We showed Pharaoh all Our Signs, but he denied and refused to believe.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 57

قَالَ أَجِئۡتَنَا لِتُخۡرِجَنَا مِنۡ أَرۡضِنَا بِسِحۡرِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

57. He said: "Have you come to drive us out of our land by your magic, O Moses?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 58

فَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحۡرٖ مِّثۡلِهِۦ فَٱجۡعَلۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكَ مَوۡعِدٗا لَّا نُخۡلِفُهُۥ نَحۡنُ وَلَآ أَنتَ مَكَانٗا سُوٗى

58. Then We will surely bring you magic like it, so make between us and you an appointment, which we shall not break, 'neither' us nor you, in a central place."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 59

قَالَ مَوۡعِدُكُمۡ يَوۡمُ ٱلزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحۡشَرَ ٱلنَّاسُ ضُحٗى

59. 'Moses' said: "Your appointment is on the day of the Festival, and let the people be gathered together at forenoon."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 60

فَتَوَلَّىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيۡدَهُۥ ثُمَّ أَتَىٰ

60. So Pharaoh went back and settled his plan, then came.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 61

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰ وَيۡلَكُمۡ لَا تَفۡتَرُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبٗا فَيُسۡحِتَكُم بِعَذَابٖۖ وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ

61. Moses said to 'the magicians': "Woe to you. Do not invent a lie against Allāh, lest He destroy you by a torment. He who invents 'a lie against Allāh' is bound to fail'."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 62

فَتَنَٰزَعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَهُم بَيۡنَهُمۡ وَأَسَرُّواْ ٱلنَّجۡوَىٰ

62. So the magicians disputed among themselves about their affair, and kept the discourse secret.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 63

قَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَٰنِ لَسَٰحِرَٰنِ يُرِيدَانِ أَن يُخۡرِجَاكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِمَا وَيَذۡهَبَا بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُ ٱلۡمُثۡلَىٰ

63. They said: "Indeed, these are two magicians who want to drive you out of your land by their magic and do away with your best traditions.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 64

فَأَجۡمِعُواْ كَيۡدَكُمۡ ثُمَّ ٱئۡتُواْ صَفّٗاۚ وَقَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مَنِ ٱسۡتَعۡلَىٰ

64. So settle your plan, then come in ranks, and he will succeed indeed this day who overcomes."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 65

قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنۡ أَلۡقَىٰ

65. They said: "Moses, will you cast, or shall we be the first who cast down?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 66

قَالَ بَلۡ أَلۡقُواْۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمۡ وَعِصِيُّهُمۡ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيۡهِ مِن سِحۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّهَا تَسۡعَىٰ

66. He said: "Rather you cast down." Then at once their ropes and their sticks appeared to him because of their magic as if they were moving rapidly 'like snakes'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 67

فَأَوۡجَسَ فِي نَفۡسِهِۦ خِيفَةٗ مُّوسَىٰ

67. So Moses concealed fear within himself.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 68

قُلۡنَا لَا تَخَفۡ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

68. 'Allāh' said: "Fear not, you shall be the uppermost,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 69

وَأَلۡقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلۡقَفۡ مَا صَنَعُوٓاْۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُواْ كَيۡدُ سَٰحِرٖۖ وَلَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلسَّاحِرُ حَيۡثُ أَتَىٰ

69. Cast down what is in your right hand; it will devour what they have made; that which they have made is only the trick of a magician. The magician will not prosper wherever he is.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 70

فَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدٗا قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَٰرُونَ وَمُوسَىٰ

70. So the magicians fell down prostrate; they said: "We believe in 'Allāh' the Lord of Aaron and Moses."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 71

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَۖ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٖ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ فِي جُذُوعِ ٱلنَّخۡلِ وَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّ أَيُّنَآ أَشَدُّ عَذَابٗا وَأَبۡقَىٰ

71. (Pharaoh) said: "You believed him before I give you permission; indeed, he is your chief, who taught you the magic. I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will come to know which of us10 is more severe in torment and more lasting.

10. Meaning himself and Allāh, the Lord of Moses.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 72

قَالُواْ لَن نُّؤۡثِرَكَ عَلَىٰ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلَّذِي فَطَرَنَاۖ فَٱقۡضِ مَآ أَنتَ قَاضٍۖ إِنَّمَا تَقۡضِي هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَآ

72. They said: "By the One Who created us, We will never prefer you over what has come to us of clear signs, so decide what you are going to decide; you can only decree 'concerning' the life of this world.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 73

إِنَّآ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِيَغۡفِرَ لَنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَا وَمَآ أَكۡرَهۡتَنَا عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلسِّحۡرِۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

73. Indeed, we have believed in 'Allāh' our Lord, so that He may forgive us our sins and that magic you forced us 'to learn'. And Allāh is best 'in giving reward' and Ever-Lasting."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 74

إِنَّهُۥ مَن يَأۡتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجۡرِمٗا فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ

74. Whoever comes to his Lord 'Allāh' as wicked, for him is Gehinnom 'Hell'; he will not die therein, nor shall he live.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 75

وَمَن يَأۡتِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنٗا قَدۡ عَمِلَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلدَّرَجَٰتُ ٱلۡعُلَىٰ

75. But whoever comes to 'Allāh' as a believer and he has done righteous deeds, these it is who will have the highest ranks.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 76

جَنَّٰتُ عَدۡنٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

76. Gardens of Eden, under which rivers flow, to abide therein forever. Such is the 'excellent' reward of him who purifies himself 'from polytheism and sins'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 77

وَلَقَدۡ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِي فَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُمۡ طَرِيقٗا فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ يَبَسٗا لَّا تَخَٰفُ دَرَكٗا وَلَا تَخۡشَىٰ

77. Indeed, We revealed to Moses, saying: "Travel with My servants 'at night' and strike for them a dry passage in the sea. Do not fear to be overtaken 'by Pharaoh', nor being apprehensive 'of drowning'."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 78

فَأَتۡبَعَهُمۡ فِرۡعَوۡنُ بِجُنُودِهِۦ فَغَشِيَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمۡ

78. Then Pharaoh pursued them with his soldiers, but there covered them of the sea that which covered them11.

11. I.e., not only drowning in water but other things which are only known to Allāh such as pain, regret, etc.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 79

وَأَضَلَّ فِرۡعَوۡنُ قَوۡمَهُۥ وَمَا هَدَىٰ

79. Thus Pharaoh led astray his people and did not guide them aright.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 80

يَٰبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ قَدۡ أَنجَيۡنَٰكُم مِّنۡ عَدُوِّكُمۡ وَوَٰعَدۡنَٰكُمۡ جَانِبَ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلۡأَيۡمَنَ وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلۡوَىٰ

80. O children of Israel, We delivered you from your enemy, and made an appointment with you12 on the right side of mount 'Sinai', and sent down to you 'during your exodus' manna and quails.

12. I.e., with your prophet to receive the Ten Commandments.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 81

كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقۡنَٰكُمۡ وَلَا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ غَضَبِيۖ وَمَن يَحۡلِلۡ عَلَيۡهِ غَضَبِي فَقَدۡ هَوَىٰ

81. 'Saying,' eat of the good things which We have provided for you, and do not transgress therein13, lest My anger be due to you. Whoever My anger is due, he will certainly be perished.

13. I.e., do not attribute these favors to your own supposed excellence, but attribute them rightly to Allāh alone and do not act with arrogance.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 82

وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٞ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا ثُمَّ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ

82. Yet I am surely Most Forgiving to the one who repents, believes, and does righteous deeds, and thereafter keeps to the right Path 'of Islam'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 83

۞ وَمَآ أَعۡجَلَكَ عَن قَوۡمِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

83. 'Allāh asked', "Moses, what made you come in such haste ahead of your people?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 84

قَالَ هُمۡ أُوْلَآءِ عَلَىٰٓ أَثَرِي وَعَجِلۡتُ إِلَيۡكَ رَبِّ لِتَرۡضَىٰ

84. Moses said: "They are just behind me, and I hastened on to You, Lord, to seek Your pleasure."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 85

قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَوۡمَكَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ ٱلسَّامِرِيُّ

85. 'Allāh' said: "But We have tested your people after you left them, and the Samiri has led them astray.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 86

فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ غَضۡبَٰنَ أَسِفٗاۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ أَلَمۡ يَعِدۡكُمۡ رَبُّكُمۡ وَعۡدًا حَسَنًاۚ أَفَطَالَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡعَهۡدُ أَمۡ أَرَدتُّمۡ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ غَضَبٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَأَخۡلَفۡتُم مَّوۡعِدِي

86. So Moses returned to his people angry and grieved. He said: "My people, did not your Lord promise you a goodly Promise? Did then the time seem long to you, or did you wish that Anger from your Lord should be due upon you, so you broke 'your' promise 'of obedience' to me?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 87

قَالُواْ مَآ أَخۡلَفۡنَا مَوۡعِدَكَ بِمَلۡكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلۡنَآ أَوۡزَارٗا مِّن زِينَةِ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ فَقَذَفۡنَٰهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلۡقَى ٱلسَّامِرِيُّ

87. They said: "We did not break 'our' promise to you of our own accord, but we were made to carry burdens of the ornaments of the people 'of Pharaoh', then cast them 'in the fire', and thus did the Samiri suggest.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 88

فَأَخۡرَجَ لَهُمۡ عِجۡلٗا جَسَدٗا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٞ فَقَالُواْ هَٰذَآ إِلَٰهُكُمۡ وَإِلَٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِيَ

88. So he brought forth for them 'the image of a golden' calf idol, a mere body, that 'with the wind' gave a 'cow-like' sound, so they said 'to each other': "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he forgot."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 89

أَفَلَا يَرَوۡنَ أَلَّا يَرۡجِعُ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَوۡلٗا وَلَا يَمۡلِكُ لَهُمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗا

89. Did they not see, that it could not return to them a word 'to answer', and that it possessed for them neither harm nor benefit?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 90

وَلَقَدۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ هَٰرُونُ مِن قَبۡلُ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِۦۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي وَأَطِيعُوٓاْ أَمۡرِي

90. Aaron had already warned them beforehand 'saying': "My people, you are only tested by it 'this idol', for indeed your 'one and only true' Lord is Allāh' the Most Compassionate. So Follow me 'in worshiping Allāh alone' and obey my order.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 91

قَالُواْ لَن نَّبۡرَحَ عَلَيۡهِ عَٰكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرۡجِعَ إِلَيۡنَا مُوسَىٰ

91. They said: "We shall continue being devoted 'to the golden calf' until Moses comes back to us."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 92

قَالَ يَٰهَٰرُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذۡ رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ ضَلُّوٓاْ

92. 'Moses' said: "Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 93

أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِۖ أَفَعَصَيۡتَ أَمۡرِي

93. From following me? Did you then disobey my order?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 94

قَالَ يَبۡنَؤُمَّ لَا تَأۡخُذۡ بِلِحۡيَتِي وَلَا بِرَأۡسِيٓۖ إِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَن تَقُولَ فَرَّقۡتَ بَيۡنَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَلَمۡ تَرۡقُبۡ قَوۡلِي

94. 'Aaron' said: "Son of my mother, seize me not by my beard nor by 'the hair of' my head. I was afraid lest you say: You have caused a division among the children of Israel, and did not wait my word."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 95

قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكَ يَٰسَٰمِرِيُّ

95. 'Moses' said: "What is then your case, O Saamiri?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 96

قَالَ بَصُرۡتُ بِمَا لَمۡ يَبۡصُرُواْ بِهِۦ فَقَبَضۡتُ قَبۡضَةٗ مِّنۡ أَثَرِ ٱلرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذۡتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتۡ لِي نَفۡسِي

96. He said: "I had the skill 'of carving' which they did not have. I followed some of the messenger's tradition; but then I ignored it. Thus did my soul entice me14."

14. To carve a golden calf which made an artificial hollow sound. Another meaning of the Verse is: "I saw something they did not see, so I took a handful of dust from the hoof-print of the horse of the messenger Gabriel and cast it in the fire upon the melted ornaments in order to form the calf."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 97

قَالَ فَٱذۡهَبۡ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَۖ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوۡعِدٗا لَّن تُخۡلَفَهُۥۖ وَٱنظُرۡ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِكَ ٱلَّذِي ظَلۡتَ عَلَيۡهِ عَاكِفٗاۖ لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُۥ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ نَسۡفًا

97. 'Moses' said: "Be gone then, for you 'your punishment' in this life is to say: "No contact"15, and there is a time for your 'final punishment' which shall not be made failing for you. Look at your god to which you remained devoted; we will burn it and scatter it a 'vast' scattering into the sea.

15. In life we need contacts and connections, to meet often with brothers and sisters and to have family gathering, studying the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah together and sharing life experiences. Having breakfast, lunch or dinner together. We need not only 'Contact' with our mothers and fathers and family, but we need to have 'connection' with them. Connection is between heart and heart. Sitting together, sharing meals and caring for each other, touching, shaking hands, having eye contact, spending some time together. Let us not maintain just "Contacts" but let us remain "Connected." Caring, sharing and spending time with all our families and friends.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 98

إِنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عِلۡمٗا

98. Your 'one true' God is only Allāh, there is no god worthy of worship except Him. He comprehends all things in 'His' Knowledge 'and Power'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 99

كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآءِ مَا قَدۡ سَبَقَۚ وَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكۡرٗا

99. Thus do We relate to you 'Muhammad' some of the news of what has preceded; and indeed We have given to you from Ourselves a Reminder 'this Qur’an'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 100

مَّنۡ أَعۡرَضَ عَنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَحۡمِلُ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وِزۡرًا

100. Whoever turns away from it, will be heavily burdened on the Day of Judgment with sin.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 101

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهِۖ وَسَآءَ لَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ حِمۡلٗا

101. Abiding therein forever. Evil it is for them on the Day of Resurrection as a load.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 102

يَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِۚ وَنَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ يَوۡمَئِذٖ زُرۡقٗا

102. The Day when the trumpet will be blown, and We shall gather the wicked, that Day, blue-eyed16.

16. From horror, or blind with blackened faces.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 103

يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا عَشۡرٗا

103. They will murmur among themselves: "You stayed but ten 'days in the world'."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 104

نَّحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذۡ يَقُولُ أَمۡثَلُهُمۡ طَرِيقَةً إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا يَوۡمٗا

104. We are most knowing of what they say, when the best of them in conduct will say: "You stayed but a day."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 105

وَيَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡجِبَالِ فَقُلۡ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسۡفٗا

105. They ask you about the mountains. Say: "My Lord 'Allāh' will blast and scatter them into scattered dust."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 106

فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعٗا صَفۡصَفٗا

106. Then leave the earth a level plain.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 107

لَّا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجٗا وَلَآ أَمۡتٗا

107. You will not see therein any crookedness nor curve.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 108

يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُۥۖ وَخَشَعَتِ ٱلۡأَصۡوَاتُ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ فَلَا تَسۡمَعُ إِلَّا هَمۡسٗا

108. On that Day they will follow the caller17, there is no swaying in them, and the voices will be low before 'Allāh' the Most Compassionate, so that you shall not hear anything except a whisper.

17. To the Gathering for Judgment.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 109

يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَرَضِيَ لَهُۥ قَوۡلٗا

109. On that Day no intercession will benefit except of him whom 'Allāh' the Most Compassionate has given permission and whose word He is Pleased with.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 110

يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٗا

110. He knows what is before them and what is behind them, while they cannot encompass Him in knowledge.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 111

۞ وَعَنَتِ ٱلۡوُجُوهُ لِلۡحَيِّ ٱلۡقَيُّومِۖ وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنۡ حَمَلَ ظُلۡمٗا

111. All faces will be humbled before 'Allāh' the Ever-Living, the All-Sustaining. And he who bears iniquity will be in loss that day.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 112

وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٞ فَلَا يَخَافُ ظُلۡمٗا وَلَا هَضۡمٗا

112. But whoever does righteous deeds and is a believer, will have no fear of injustice or withholding 'of their reward'.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 113

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ قُرۡءَانًا عَرَبِيّٗا وَصَرَّفۡنَا فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلۡوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ أَوۡ يُحۡدِثُ لَهُمۡ ذِكۡرٗا

113. Thus We have revealed a perfect Qur’an 'recitation' in Arabic, and have varied therein in detail the warnings, that they may shun evil or that it may cause them to take heed.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 114

فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۗ وَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ بِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن يُقۡضَىٰٓ إِلَيۡكَ وَحۡيُهُۥۖ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمٗا

114. Supremely Exalted is Allāh, the True King, the Absolute Truth. Do not make haste with the Qur’an before its Revelation is made complete to you 'Muhammad' and say: "My Lord, increase me in knowledge."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 115

وَلَقَدۡ عَهِدۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ ءَادَمَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَنَسِيَ وَلَمۡ نَجِدۡ لَهُۥ عَزۡمٗا

115. We certainly made a covenant with Adam before, but he forgot it; and We did not find in him any 'firm' determination.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 116

وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰ

116. 'Mention' when We said to the angels: "Prostrate to Adam," they prostrated all except Iblees (Satan); he refused.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 117

فَقُلۡنَا يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا عَدُوّٞ لَّكَ وَلِزَوۡجِكَ فَلَا يُخۡرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ فَتَشۡقَىٰٓ

117. So We said: "Adam, this is an enemy to you and to your wife; so let him not drive you both out from the Garden, for then you will suffer.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 118

إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعۡرَىٰ

118. It is 'promised' for you that you will never be hungry therein, nor unclothed;

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 119

وَأَنَّكَ لَا تَظۡمَؤُاْ فِيهَا وَلَا تَضۡحَىٰ

119. Nor will you 'ever' be thirsty therein or suffer the heat of the sun."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 120

فَوَسۡوَسَ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ قَالَ يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ وَمُلۡكٖ لَّا يَبۡلَىٰ

120. But Satan whispered to him; he said: "O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of immortality and a kingdom that never decays?"

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 121

فَأَكَلَا مِنۡهَا فَبَدَتۡ لَهُمَا سَوۡءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخۡصِفَانِ عَلَيۡهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۚ وَعَصَىٰٓ ءَادَمُ رَبَّهُۥ فَغَوَىٰ

121. Then they both 'Adam and Eve' ate of it, so their nakedness appeared to them, and they began to cover themselves with leaves of the Garden. Adam disobeyed his Lord, so he went astray.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 122

ثُمَّ ٱجۡتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَتَابَ عَلَيۡهِ وَهَدَىٰ

122. Then his Lord 'Allāh' chose him, accepted his repentance, and guided 'him'.

 

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 123

قَالَ ٱهۡبِطَا مِنۡهَا جَمِيعَۢاۖ بَعۡضُكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ عَدُوّٞۖ فَإِمَّا يَأۡتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّي هُدٗى فَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشۡقَىٰ

123. 'Allāh' said: "Descend both of you from it, all of you 'along with Satan', being enemies to one another. Then when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance, he will not go astray 'in life' nor will he suffer 'in the Hereafter';

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 124

وَمَنۡ أَعۡرَضَ عَن ذِكۡرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةٗ ضَنكٗا وَنَحۡشُرُهُۥ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ

124. But whoever turns away from My Reminder 'this Qur’an', he will certainly have a miserable life, and We shall raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 125

قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرۡتَنِيٓ أَعۡمَىٰ وَقَدۡ كُنتُ بَصِيرٗا

125. He will say: "My Lord, why have You raised me blind while I used to see."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 126

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتۡكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَاۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ تُنسَىٰ

126. 'Allāh' will say: "Even so, Our revelations came to you but you forgot them; and so you shall be forgotten this Day18."

18. I.e., abandoned in the Hellfire.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 127

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَنۡ أَسۡرَفَ وَلَمۡ يُؤۡمِنۢ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

127. Thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the revelations of his Lord 'Allāh', and certainly the torment of the Hereafter is severer and more lasting.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 128

أَفَلَمۡ يَهۡدِ لَهُمۡ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ يَمۡشُونَ فِي مَسَٰكِنِهِمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلنُّهَىٰ

128. Does it not then guide them 'knowing' how many of the "sinful' generations, in whose dwelling places they pass through, We destroyed before them? There are signs in this for people of understanding.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 129

وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةٞ سَبَقَتۡ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامٗا وَأَجَلٞ مُّسَمّٗى

129. Had there not been a Word that preceded from 'Allāh' your Lord and an appointed term, it "their Punishment' would inevitably have come to them.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 130

فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ غُرُوبِهَاۖ وَمِنۡ ءَانَآيِٕ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡ وَأَطۡرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرۡضَىٰ

130. So bear patiently what they say, and glorify 'Allāh' your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during the hours of the night also glorify Him and at the ends of the day16 - that you may be well-pleased. 

16. An indication for the five obligatory congregational prayers. Muhammad, God's messenger (ﷺ) said: "The five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadhan to Ramadhan are expiations for the (minor sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 131

وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ زَهۡرَةَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا لِنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَرِزۡقُ رَبِّكَ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰ

131. Do not extend your eyes toward that with which We have provided some categories of them 'the deniers', the splendor of this worldly life, that We may thereby test them with it. But the provision 'good reward' of 'Allāh' your Lord is better and more lasting.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 132

وَأۡمُرۡ أَهۡلَكَ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ عَلَيۡهَاۖ لَا نَسۡـَٔلُكَ رِزۡقٗاۖ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُكَۗ وَٱلۡعَٰقِبَةُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰ

132. Enjoin prayer on your family 'and people", and steadily adhere to it. We do not ask you for provision. it is We 'Allāh' that provide for you. The 'best' outcome is 'for those of' piety 17and devotion.

17. The gift of piety fosters the following spiritual dispositions: first, dutiful respect for Allāh as a Loving and Kind Lord; second, a generous and great love for Him, so that a person wants to please Allāh, even if it means making sacrifices; and third, a loving obedience toward the teachings and commandments of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, respecting them as expressions of God’s love for us. As such, a person approaches prayer or worship not as a task or burden but as an act of joyful love; a person adheres to the commandments and teachings of Islam - as difficult as it may be at the time - because he knows they express God’s truth and therefore show the way to eternal happiness.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 133

وَقَالُواْ لَوۡلَا يَأۡتِينَا بِـَٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓۚ أَوَلَمۡ تَأۡتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

133. They 'the deniers' say: "Why does he not bring to us a sign from his Lord 'Allāh'?" Has not there come to them clear Proof of what is in the previous Scriptures18?

18. The Qur’ān as a lasting miracle is an adequate proof of Muḥammad's prophethood and also the confirmation of the former Books i.e. the Torah and the Gospel about the coming of the Prophet Muhammad.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 134

وَلَوۡ أَنَّآ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُم بِعَذَابٖ مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ لَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لَوۡلَآ أَرۡسَلۡتَ إِلَيۡنَا رَسُولٗا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَٰتِكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخۡزَىٰ

134. Had we destroyed them with a torment before this, they would certainly have said: "Our Lord, if only You had sent to us a messenger, we would have followed Your revelations before we were humiliated and disgraced."

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 135

قُلۡ كُلّٞ مُّتَرَبِّصٞ فَتَرَبَّصُواْۖ فَسَتَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلصِّرَٰطِ ٱلسَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ

135. Say 'Muhammad': "Each 'of us' is waiting, so keep waiting. For you will soon come to know who is the follower of the straight Path and who is rightly guided."
