21. Those who do not expect to meet Us, say: "Why have not angels been sent down upon us, or 'why' do we not see 'Allāh' our Lord?" They are really too proud of themselves and are insolent with great insolence.
22. On the Day they see the angels, there will be no good news on that Day for the wicked, and they will say: "It (i.e., any good tidings) is a forbidden, totally prohibited10."
10. None will be allowed to enter Paradise except the one who says: "laa ilaaha illal Laah," (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).
27. And 'beware of' the Day the evildoer will bite his hands 'in regret', saying: "Oh, Would that I had followed the 'right' Way along with the messenger 'Muhammad'.
31. Thus We have made for every prophet an enemy from among the wicked. Yet enough is your Lord 'Allāh' as a guide and helper13.
13. The Prophet Muhammad when he was rejected and persecuted by the deniers, he prayed to His Lord, Allāh, saying: "To You, my Lord, I complain of my weakness,
lack of support and the humiliation I am made to receive. Most Compassionate and Merciful God, Allāh. You are the Lord of the weak, and you are my Lord. To whom do You leave me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy You have given power over me? As long as you are not displeased with me, I do not care what I face. I would, however, be much happier with Your mercy. I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which all darkness is dispelled and both this life and the life to come are put in their right course against incurring your wrath or being the subject of your anger. To You I submit (O Allah), until I earn Your pleasure. Everything is powerless without your support".
32. Those who deny 'the Truth' say: "Why has not the Qur’an been sent down to him all at once? Thus 'it is revealed', that We may strengthen your heart by it. We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages14."
14. It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in 23 years.
