84. When he came to his Lord 'Allāh' with a sound and pure heart8,
8. The sound heart owner, is satisfied with the divine destiny, and Allāh is pleased with him. They have a tranquil and trusting spirit, with confidence and a hopeful heart.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:

ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:

86. Is it false gods that you want instead of Allāh?
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
87. What is then your thought about 'Allāh' the Lord of all beings?
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
88. Then he looked at the stars, looking up once,
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
89. And said: "I am sick9."
9. It was narrated that Abraham (peace be upon him) did not tell a lie except on three occasions, twice for the sake of Allāh (Exalted and Almighty) when he said: “I am sick,” (when his people were holding a festival in honor of their idols, Abraham excused himself by saying he was sick, and when he said: “(I have not done this but) the big idol has done it.” The (third was) that while Ibraham and Sara (his wife) were going (on a journey), they passed by (the territory of) a tyrant. Someone said to the tyrant: “This man (i.e., Abraham) is accompanied by a very charming lady.” So, he sent for Abraham and asked him about Sara saying: “Who is this lady?” Abraham said: “She is my sister.”
This is not from real lying statements, but from ambiguous statements. The word “he did not lie” has been used metaphorically.
Some say, “saqim” means afflicted with plague. The people of that time were afraid of the plague, so he used this word for them to turn away from him. Some say, it means, a spiritually ill person, from your worshipping the idols other than Allāh.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
90. So they turned away from him, departing immediately.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
91. He then turned to their idols and said 'mockingly': "Will you not eat 'of the offerings before you'?
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
92. What is the matter with you that you do not speak?"
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
93.Then he turned upon them, striking them with 'his' right hand.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
94. So they 'the idol worshippers' advanced towards him, hastening.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
95. 'Abraham' said: "Do you worship what you carve out?
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
96. While Allāh has created you and what you make."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
97. They said: "Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
98. They sought a plot against him but We made them the most debased.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
99. 'Abraham' said: "I am going to 'migrate to Allāh' my Lord; He will guide me'.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
100. Lord 'Allāh', grant me a righteous son."
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
101. So We gave him the good news of a forbearing son 'i.e., Ishmael'.
ߊߙߊߓߎߞߊ߲ߡߊ ߞߘߐߦߌߘߊ ߟߎ߬:
102. When 'the son' reached 'the age' of working with him, Abraham said: "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; look then, what do you think." 'Ishmael' said: "O my father, do what you are commanded; if Allāh wills, you will find me patient."
