22 : 39

22. Is he whose chest Allāh has opened to Islam, so that he is upon a Light from his Lord (like those who are dead, in darkness)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the Remembrance of Allāh - these are in manifest error [7]. info

[7]. They are those who do not repent of their sins; they do not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor do they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Instead of turning to Allāh in repentance, they dig in with their defiance even more. The heart of man has grown so hard that even among great tragedy and death, they refuse to turn from sin and turn towards Allāh. They continue to reject his love and compassion. This shows you the danger and power of a hardened heart. That’s why the Qur’an warns against hardening your heart – there are dangerous consequences associated with it.

23 : 39

23. Allāh has sent down the best Statement, a Book (this Qur’an) with similar passages (in goodness and truth), oft-repeated. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord 'Allāh', then their skins and their hearts soften to the Remembrance of Allāh. This is Allah’s Guidance, He guides with it whom He wills. As for him whom Allāh leaves astray, for him there is no guide. info
