[3]. I.e., on Sunday and Monday.
[4]. These four Days include the first two Days, and the other two Days were: Tuesday and Wednesday.
[5]. That is on the fifth and sixth day (i.e., Thursday and Friday).
The creation of the heavens, including the stars and planets. The creation of animals and human, with the creation of Adam occurring in the last hour of Friday.
[6]. In the world, among the sinful jinn and men.
[7]. Good faith is demonstrated by giving help to the poor, the sick, the needy with humility. People should learn from the Qur’an and Sunnah how we live, how we spend, how we talk, how we respond to people in all kinds of situations, how we treat and show kindness to neighbours, how we keep our relationships with our relatives, respond to their needs without expecting anything in return. Providing assistance to people is the outward display of our inward character, as Faith needs to be accompanied by actions.
Allah commands the believers to be patient, to forgive, and pray for those who mistreat others. See that none render evil unto any person; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all peoples.
[8]. Prayer opens ourselves, our feelings, and our relationships with guidance from Allah, calling Him to bring good direction to all people. The act of submitting our will and feelings to Allah in prayer changes our hearts. Allah's call to love our enemies is directly related to prayer. Pray for those who mistreat you.
[10]. I.e., the Qur’an, protected by Allāh from any distortion or alteration.
[11]. When people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Allāh 'God'. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before. If you are not familiar with the history of the prophets, you will not do well when you suffer any kind of slander or persecution in Allah’s Cause.
[12]. The Qur’an includes both curing and healing. Curing wounds, fevers, and diseases. But to become part of the Qur’an, part of the community of God’s people, part of the mosque's people. That is healing. Healing is hard work. It means being open to Islam, God's true religion. It means being open to Allāh 'God'. It means, first and foremost, acknowledging that you need Allāh. Healing means learning to live with what can’t be cured. Sometimes, healing means accepting that things can’t be fixed, and accepting that you are a beloved servant of God even still. Healing also means reaching out to other people. Even the people you don’t want to. It means building community and love and acceptance even with people you don’t like or understand. It means being willing to be honest, even if that means facing the parts of yourself and others that aren’t so nice. But there can be healing even in the midst of pain, and grief, and illness. There can be love and renewal even in the midst of brokenness. There can be hope in the midst of loss. There can be community even when the world tries to isolate us. And when we reach out, when we comfort people who are sick, and bring food to those who are hungry, and are willing to be honest and compassionate with ourselves and others, and be there for people even when there’s no quick fix or easy answer; when we do that, we are part of God’s healing. We are God’s 'hands' in the world.
[13]. So they neither hear the call nor understand it.
