Al-Feel

වාක්‍යය: 1

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ

1. Have you not considered how (Allah) your Lord dealt with the people of elephant¹?

1. I.e., the army under the command of Abrahah al-Ashram which was accompanied by a huge elephant and came with the intention of destroying the Kaʿbah at Makkah.

වාක්‍යය: 2

أَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِي تَضۡلِيلٖ

2. Did He not cause their evil plots to fail,

වාක්‍යය: 3

وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ طَيۡرًا أَبَابِيلَ

3. He sent against them birds in flocks,

වාක්‍යය: 4

تَرۡمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٖ مِّن سِجِّيلٖ

4. Striking them with stones of baked clay,

වාක්‍යය: 5

فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٖ مَّأۡكُولِۭ

5. So He rendered them like eaten straw.
