146. Those (learned Jews and Christians) to whom We have given the Scripture know him (Muhammad) as they know their sons44, and a party of them certainly hide the Truth knowingly.
44. Because of the descriptions of him in the Bible.
148. Every one pursues his goal. So race with each other in performing good deeds. Wherever you may be, Allāh will bring you all together (for Judgment). Verily Allâh has full Power over all things.
149. And from wherever you go out (for prayer) turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah). It is the very Truth from your Lord. Allāh is not unaware of what you do.
150. And from wherever you go out (to prayer), turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah); and wherever you (believers) may be, turn your faces towards it, so that the people45 may have no argument against you, unless they be those of them who are unjust; so do not be in awe of them46, but stand in awe of Me - that I may complete My Favor upon you and that you may be guided.
45. I.e., the followers of the past Scripture.
46. It is no wonder that the message to “Fear not…” appears so frequently in the Qur’an. While fear is a common human experience, the Quran's promise that Allāh is Our Protector, for Allāh is always with Us.
151. as We have sent among you a messenger (i.e., Muhammad) from among you who recites to you Our Verses, purifies you, teaches you the Book (Qur’an) and the Wisdom, and teaches you that which you did not know47.
47. When a person rejects the Prophet Muhammad, God's messenger, he is rejecting God, the Lord Whom sent him. Such is a grievous sin much worse than the other wicked acts. People should believe in the significance of God's sending of messengers. Allāh 'God' assures those who will accept and believe in the messengers sent by Him that they shall certainly receive their reward. The Prophet Muhammad said: "Every prophet was sent specifically to his own people, whereas I 'Muhammad' was sent to all (people), white and black."
It is an obligation to everyone in order to receive salvation to bear witness that there is no deity but Allāh, and bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. This testimony declares belief in the oneness of God and the acceptance of Muhammad as God's last and final messenger. Whoever believes in Allāh and His messenger, the Prophet Muhammad, will have eternal life.
This is the confidence we have in approaching Allāh: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
152. So, remember Me (by praying and glorifying), I will remember you48; be grateful to Me, and do not deny Me.
48.The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "Allāh says: 'I am just as My servant thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' "
153. O believers, seek help in patience and prayer. Allāh is with the patient49.
49. Rejoicing in hope, enduring in affliction, being devoted and faithful in prayer. Here is an evidence of Allah’s ’s particular companionship with the faithful and patient; leading to His guidance and support.
