كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِۗ وَلَوۡ ءَامَنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۚ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ

110. You (Muslims) are the best of nations raised up (as an example) for mankind. You command to what is right (and just) and prohibit them from what is wrong (and unjust) and you believe in (the Oneness of) Allāh. Had the followers of the Scripture (the Jews and Christians) accepted the (Islamic) faith, it would have been better for them. Some of them have faith (in Allāh and embraced Islam), but most of them are rebellious (against God). info
