30 Les juifs prétendent qu’Ouzayr[528] est le fils d’Allah, tandis que les chrétiens affirment que c’est le Messie qui est le fils d’Allah. Pures prétentions sans aucun fondement. Ils répètent simplement ce que d’autres impies affirmaient avant eux[529]. Qu’Allah les maudisse ! Comment peuvent-ils à ce point se détourner de la vérité.
[528] Probablement le prophète juif Esdras (Ezra, en hébreu) qui, dit-on, fut élevé à ce rang pour avoir mémorisé la Torah. Rappelons que des millions de musulmans à travers le monde connaissent aujourd’hui le Coran par cœur, et qu’il en fut ainsi de tout temps. [529] Les païens grecs, notamment, chez qui la notion de « fils de Dieu » est omniprésente. Or, l’on sait l’influence des croyances grecques sur la formation du dogme chrétien. Charles Guignebert (1919-1937), premier titulaire de la chaire du christianisme à la Sorbonne, pour qui Jésus n’était qu’un envoyé de Dieu dans la lignée des prophètes d’Israël, écrit : « Jésus ne se dit jamais Dieu : Fils de Dieu, entendu au sens précis et orthodoxe, est monstrueux et même inconcevable pour un Juif ; or, la pensée de Jésus est juive, c’est indéniable. D’ailleurs, pas une fois l’accusation de s’être prétendu Dieu n’est dressée contre lui par les Juifs, ni au cours de son procès ni aux temps apostoliques.
