3. The pure worship is for Allāh (alone). Those who take guardians besides Him, (saying): "We do not worship them except that they may take us nearer to Allāh." Allāh will judge between them in all that in which they differ. Indeed, Allāh does not guide him who is liar¹, ungrateful.
1. Attributing a son to Him, persistent unbeliever.
4. Had Allāh willed to take a son (or daughters) for Himself², He could have chosen whom He pleased from what He has created. Glory be to Him. He is Allāh, the One, the All-Conquering.
2. As the pagans and christians claim. God is too exalted to have a son or daughter.
5. He has created the heavens and the earth for a genuine purpose. He wraps the night over the day, and wraps the day over the night. He has subjected the sun and the moon - each one runs its course for an appointed term. Know, He (Allāh) is the All-Mighty, the Great Forgiver.
6. He has created you from a single being (Adam), then created, of like nature, his mate (Eve). He produced for you eight of the cattle in pairs³. He creates you in the wombs of your mother - a creation after a creation - in three darknesses⁴. Such is Allāh your Lord, His is the Kingdom. There is no (true) god except Him. How are you then turned away (from the Truth)?
3. The eight types of livestock, four males and females: a pair of sheep, a pair of goats, a pair of camels, and a pair of oxen.
4. The darkness of the belly, that of the womb and that of the placenta.
7. If you deny (the Truth), know that Allāh 'God' is in no need of you and He does not approve for His servants (of mankind and jinn) ingratitude. Bur if you are grateful, He appreciate it for you. No bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another⁵. Then to 'Allāh' your Lord is your 'final' return, so He will inform you what you used to do. He is the All-Knower of what is in the chests (of mankind and jinn).
5. There is no what so called original sin or ancestral sin passed on to the children. Sins are forgiven by sincere repentance, asking forgiveness from God as Adam and Eve did when they violated the Command given to them by God and ate from the forbidden tree. Jesus did not die for the sins of anyone. He was neither killed nor crucified. He did not pay for the sins of any one. That is an innovated satanic doctrine to mislead the people from God's Path.
8. When hardship befalls man (the pagan), he prays to his Lord (Allāh) turning to Him (in repentance). When He bestows him a favor, he forgets (the hardship) about which he had prayed to Allāh before, and sets up equals to Allāh to mislead (people) from His path. Say: "Enjoy your blasphemy for a while, you are of the people of the eternal Fire."
9. Is one who devotes himself (in worship), obedient, during the hours of the night, prostrating himself and standing (in prayer), taking heed of the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of (Allāh) his Lord (like him who does not). Say: "Are those who know and those who do not know alike?" It is only people of sound understanding who will take heed.
10. Say (Muhammad, that Allāh says): "O my servants who believe, fear (Allāh) your Lord and keep His Commandments. For those who do good in this world is good. Allah’s earth is spacious. Only those who are patient will be paid their reward in full without limit.
15. So (it is up to you O deniers to) worship what you please instead of Him. Say: "The losers are those who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of judgment." Know that is the manifest loss.
17. As for those who keep away from the worship of false gods, and turn to Allāh (in repentance), they will have good news (of Paradise). So give good news to My servants,
18. Those who listen to the speech6, and follow the best thereof. These are the ones whom Allāh has (rightly) guided, and these are the people of understanding.
6. And by constant use have the ability to discern between its good and evil.
19. Is then, one against whom the Word of Torment is justified (equal to the one who avoids evil)? Will you then save one who is bound for the eternal Fire?
20. But those who fear their Lord 'Allāh' and shun evil, for them are chambers, above them chambers built high (for them), under which rivers flow. The Promise of Allāh. Allāh never fails in (His) promise.
21. Do you not see that Allāh sends down water from the sky, channeling it through the earth in springs, then brings forth therewith vegetation of various colors, then it withers so that you see it becoming yellow, then He turns it into chaff? There is certainly a reminder in this for people of sound understanding.
22. Is he whose heart Allāh has opened to Islam, so that he is upon a Light from his Lord (like those who are dead, in darkness)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the Remembrance of Allāh - these are in manifest error7.
7. They are those who do not repent of the work of their hands; they do not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor do they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Instead of turning to Allāh in repentance, they dig in with their defiance even more. The heart of man has grown so hard that even among great tragedy and death, they refuse to turn from sin and turn towards Allāh. They continue to reject his love and compassion. This shows you the danger and power of a hardened heart. That’s why the Qur’an warns against hardening your heart – there are dangerous consequences associated with it.
23. Allāh has sent down the best Statement, a Book (this Qur’an) with similar passages (in goodness and truth), oft-repeated. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord 'Allāh', then their skins and their hearts soften to the Remembrance of Allāh. This is Allah’s Guidance, He guides with it whom He wills. As for him whom Allāh leaves astray, for him there is no guide.
24. Is he then, who will confront with his face the awful torment on the Day of Resurrection (as he who enters peacefully to Paradise)? It will then be said to the workers of iniquity: "Taste what you used to earn (of sins)."
29. Allāh sets forth an example: There is a slave owned by (several) partners differing with one another, and there is another slave serving exclusively one master8. Are they alike in comparison? All praise be to Allāh. But most of them do not know.
32. Who is then more unjust than he who invents lies about Allāh9 and (he who) denies the Truth10 when it comes to him; is not Gehinnom (Hell) the (proper) Home for (all) the deniers?
9. By ascribing a son or daughters or any other partners to Him.
10. The fact that God has no partner, no father, no mother, no son, no daughter, no mate, no peer, and no coequal.
34. They will have whatever they desire12 with their Lord (Allāh). That is the reward of the good-doers.
12. Right from the time of death till their entry into Paradise, being saved from the torment of grave and from the severities of the Day of Ressurection and Judgment.
35. So that Allāh will remit from them the worst of what they did, and give them their reward according to the best of what they used to do (of goodness).
36. Is not Allāh Enough for his servant? Yet they seek to frighten you with those (whom they worship) besides Him. Whoever Allāh leaves astray - for him there is no guide.
38. If you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" They will certainly say: "Allāh." Say: "Have you then considered that what you invoke besides Allāh, could they, if Allāh desires to afflict me with harm, be the removers of His harm, or (could they), if Allāh desires to show me Mercy, be the withholders of His mercy?" Say: "Allāh is Enough for me, on Him do the reliant place their complete trust."
41. We have sent down to you the Book (this Qur’an) for mankind in truth. Whoever is guided, it is for himself, and whoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his own loss. You are not a trustee over them.
42. Allāh takes away the souls at the time of their death and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep. He withholds the souls of those on whom He has passed the decree of death, and sends the others back for an appointed term. There are certainly signs in this for a people who reflect.
44. Say: "To Allāh (alone) belongs (the right) to allow intercession entirely. to Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Him you will all return."
45. When Allāh alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter begin to shrink, but when those (whom they worship) besides Him13 are mentioned, immediately they are joyful.
13. Such as Jesus Christ, his mother Mary, the holy spirit, the angels, prophets, saints, jinn, idols, etc.
46. Say: "O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your slaves (of mankind and jinn) as to that wherein they differ."
47. If those who work iniquity had all that is in the earth and the like of it with it, they would offer it as ransom (to be saved) from the evil of the torment on the Day of Judgment. There will appear to them from Allāh what they never expected.
49. When (some) adversity touches man, he cries out to Us for help. When We give him a favor from Us, he says: "I have been given it only by means of (my) knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.
51. So there befell them the evil of what they earned. Similarly those who work iniquity from among these, there will befall them the evil of what they earn, and they will not escape.
52. Do they not know that Allāh extends the provision to whom He wills, and He straitens (to whom He wills)? There are signs in this for a people who believe.
53. Say (Muhammad, that Allāh says): "O my slaves (of mankind and jinn), who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the Mercy of Allāh14. For Allāh certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, the All-Merciful."
14. Some persons amongst the pagans who had committed a large number of murders and had excessively indulged in liquor and fornication, came to Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) and said: Whatever you assert and whatever you call to is indeed good. But if you inform us that there is atonement of our past deeds (then we would embrace Islam). Then it was revealed: "And those who call not unto another god along with Allāh and slay not any soul which Allah has forbidden except in the cause of justice, nor commit fornication; and he who does this shall meet the requital of sin. Multiplied for him shall be the torment on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall therein abide disgraced, except him who repents and believes and does good deeds. Then these! Allah shall change their vices into virtues. Verily Allah is Ever Forgiving, Merciful."
And revealed also this verse: "Say (Muhammad, that Allāh says): "O my slaves (of mankind and jinn), who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the Mercy of Allāh. For Allāh certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, the All-Merciful."
54. Turn to your Lord (Allāh, in repentance), and submit to Him before there comes to you the torment (that you have been warned of), then you will not be helped.
55. Follow (the Qur’an), the best of what has been sent down to you from your Lord, before there comes to you the torment all of a sudden while you do not perceive.
60. On the Day of Judgment you will see those who lied against Allāh 15, their faces darkened. Is not Gehinnom (Hell) a (fitting) Home for the arrogant ones?
15. By ascribing a son or daughters, or wrong attributes to Him.
61. But Allāh will deliver those (believers) who guarded themselves (against evil) with their achievement; evil will not touch them, nor will they grieve.
65. It has already been revealed to you (Muhammad) and to those (Prophets) before you that If you associate others in worship (with Allāh), then all your 'good' deeds will be in vain, and you will be of the losers.
67. They did not revere Allāh with such reverence as is due to Him - when on The Day of Resurrection the 'whole' earth will be in His grip, and the heavens rolled up in His right hand16. Glory be to Him, and may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him as partners in worship).
16. A (Jewish) scholar came to God's Messenger and he said: "O Muhammad, We learn that Allāh will put all the heavens on one finger, and the earths on one finger, and the trees on one finger, and the water and the dust on one finger, and all the other created beings on one finger. Then He will say: ‘I am the King; where are the tyrants and where are the arrogant ones today?.'" Thereupon the Prophet smiled so that his premolar teeth became visible, and that was the confirmation of the Jew's scholar statement. Then Allah’s Messenger recited: "They made not a just estimate of Allāh such as is due to Him. And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His hand."
68. The trumpet will be blown, so all those that are in the heavens, and all those that are in the earth will swoon, except such as Allāh wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on.
69. The earth will shine bright with the Light of its Lord 'Allāh', and the record (of deeds) will be laid open, the Prophets and the witnesses will be brought up, and Judgment will be passed between the people with justice, and they will not be dealt with unjustly.
71. Those who denied (Allāh and His messengers) will be driven to Hell in (successive) groups; until, when they come to it, its doors will be opened, and the keepers of it will say to them: "Did there not come to you messengers from among you reciting to you the revelations of your Lord 'Allāh', and warning you of the Meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "Yes". But the word of torment has been justified against the deniers.
73. But those who were mindful of their Lord 'Allāh' will be driven to Paradise in (successive) groups; until when they come to it, they will find its gates wide open 'for welcoming them', and the keepers of it will say to them: "Peace be with you, you have been (good and) pure, so enter it to abide eternally therein."
74. "The believers' will say: "(All) praise be to Allāh, Who has fulfilled His Promise to us, and made us inherit the earth, to settle in Paradise where we please. How excellent is the reward of the workers (of good)."
75. You will see the angels all around the Throne, glorifying their Lord (Allāh) with Praise. They (humans and jinn) will be Judged with Justice. And it will be said: "All Praise be to Allāh17, the Lord of all beings"
17. One day people “from every tribe and language and people and nation will declare Allah’s ’s glory. And with joy all our voices in every different language will shout together, “Al-Hamdu Lillāh!” or "Praise Allāh alone!"
