127. When Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House (the Ka’bah): "Our Lord, accept from us. Verily You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing".
128. Our Lord, make us Muslims submitting to Your Will and (raise) from our offspring a nation submitting to You, and show us our rites, and turn to us (mercifully). Verily, You are the Accepter of repentance, the Most Merciful.
129. Our Lord, send to them a messenger among them who will recite to them Your verses, teach them the Book, Wisdom, and purify them. You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."
130. Who would be averse to the creed of Abraham (i.e., Islam) except one who fools of himself35. We have chosen him in this world, and he is surely in the Hereafter among the righteous (in the highest rank of Heaven)36.
35. Abdullah bin Salam, a renown Jewish scholar who embraced islam in Madinah, during the time of the Prophet, then he invited his two nephews to Islam and said to them: You have learned that God Almighty said in the Torah: I will send from the son of Ishmael a prophet whose name will be Ahmad. Whoever believes in him is guided, and whoever does not believe in him is cursed. So one of them converted to Islam and the other refused to convert to Islam, so God Almighty revealed this verse.
36. Abraham was a prophet and messenger of Allah, and an ancestor to the Ishmaelite Arabs and Israelites. Abraham plays a prominent role as an example of faith in Islam. Abraham fulfilled all the commandments and trials.
132. Abraham enjoined with it his sons and (so did) Jacob (saying): "O my sons, Indeed, Allāh has chosen for you (this) Faith (of Islam), so do not die except as Muslims."
133. Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons: "What will you worship after me?" They said: "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, (solely) one God 'Allāh', and to Him (alone) do we submit.
134. That is a nation that has already passed away. For them is what they earned (of good or evil) and for you is what you have earned. You will not be questioned about that which they used to do.
