[2]. I.e., in worldly misjudgements, not in the conveyance of God's Message.
[3]. Let us fix our eyes on Allāh, the Creator of universe. When our attention and gaze are on Allāh, He will build our faith. So be encouraged and let your faith arise by reading this Qur’an and by performing righteous deeds. May Allāh support us, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before Him. Allāh cares for his people. Our enemies are scattered when Allāh helps us. Allāh is promising us that the enemy that oppressed us, the enemy that took our joy away is going to be scattered in His name.
[4]. This Verse appears also in the Torah Isaiah 42:1 to 12, thus: "Verily We have sent you (Muhammad) as a witness, as a bringer of glad tidings and as a warner, and as a protector for the nations. You are my slave and My messenger, and I have named you Al-Mutawakkil (one who depends upon God). You are neither hard-hearted nor of fierce character, nor one who shouts in the markets. You do not return evil for evil, but excuse and forgive. Allāh (God) will not take you unto Him till He guides through you a crocked nation on the right path by causing them to say: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allāh." With such a statement He will cause to open blind eyes, deaf ears and hardened hearts."
Let us now quote the Verses describing the servant of God, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, in Isaiah 42 : 1 to 12
The Servant of God, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
1. Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.
2. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.
3. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4. He will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the people will put their hope.”
5. This is what Allāh, the Lord says—
the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people and life to those who walk on it:
6. “I, Allāh, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
7. To open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
8. “My glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images (idols)."
This means that the prophet Muhammad ﷺ will fight the idols and idolaters.
9. See, the former things have taken place,
and new things I declare; before they spring into being. I announce them to you.”
10. Praise the Lord in a new recitation. "This is a new recitation, a new praise of God from the Qur’an."
11. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voices. "This is in reference to where Muhammad ﷺ is coming from: let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. (Who is Kedar)? The second son of Ishmael, the direct ancestor of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Let the people of Sela praise God for joy; (Where Sela is)? Medina—the city of the Prophet, where he is buried today. let them shout from the mountaintops.
12. He will stir up his zeal like a man of war. He will cry, yes, he will shout aloud."This refers to his declaration of war against God's enemies. And Prophet Muhammad fought wars against God's enemies— For Allāh only."
To make clear: Kedar → The lineage of Muhammad ﷺ. Sela is Medina, where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ lived and is buried.
A new revelation (Qur’an). Praise from the top of the mountains. Pilgrimage and calling upon Allāh.
A new law, after the Law of Moses.
Fighting idol worshippers i.e., Muhammad’s mission to remove idolatry. Bringing people from darkness to light. A prophet for the Gentiles, for the whole world.
There is no one else qualifies for this description—only Muhammad. No human being on this planet qualifies for this description except the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
[5]. To glorify Allāh in everything we do. To glorify Allāh is not to bestow glory on Allāh or add to His glory, but to recognize and acknowledge His glory. That is to praise Him with your lips, to obey His Word, to pray in Allah’s name only, to perform good deeds, and remain sexual pure by fleeing sexual immorality, glorifying Allāh with your body, to seek the good of others doing everything for the glory of Allāh, to give generously, giving to the needy, to live honorably, letting your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to Allāh in heaven, to be faithful when persecuted, and to face death with faith.
[6]. Put your hand into the Hand of Allāh and trust Allāh to guide and uphold you.
The mention of God’s hand appears in many verses in the Qur’an and in the statements of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Allāh called His people to trust that He as their Creator, “the first and . . . the last”, would remain involved with them. As He says, “We built the heavens with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺ and the earth, We spread it out. How superbly did We smooth it out! the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah spreads out His hand at night to accept the repentance of the one who sinned during the day, and He spreads out His hand by day to accept the repentance of the one who sinned during the night, (and that will continue) until the sun rises from the west.” So we should put our trust in Him and not look to those less powerful. Whatever we face as we look toward the future, we can follow the prophet Muhammad's example and place our hope and trust in Allāh. Then, our peace will be like the river, and our well-being like the waves of the sea.
[7]. That Allāh will not support His messenger Muhammad ﷺ.
[8]. As their hearts were made blind as a result of their sins.
[9]. The spoils of Khaybar.
On the day (of the battle) of Khaibar the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Tomorrow I will give the flag to somebody who will be given victory (by Allah) and who loves Allah and His messenger and is loved by Allah and His messenger." So, the people wondered all that night as to who would receive the flag and in the morning everyone hoped that he would be that person. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked, "Where is `Ali?" He was told that `Ali was suffering from eye-trouble, so he applied saliva to his eyes and invoked Allah to cure him. He at once got cured as if he had no ailment. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him the flag. `Ali said, "Should I fight them till they become like us (i.e. Muslim)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Go to them patiently and calmly till you enter the land. Then, invite them to Islam, and inform them what is enjoined upon them, for, by Allah, if Allah gives guidance to somebody through you, it is better for you than possessing red camels (which the Arabs considered the most valuable wealth at that time).
[10]. Those who attacked you on your way to Makkah.
[11]. We would have let you march to Makkah.
[12]. There is so much to learn from the manners and etiquette of the best and last of the Messengers of God to mankind, Muhammad ﷺ. He was extremely humble and kind. He treated all believers equally, respected all and expressed his love for them. He asked the well-being of those who were absent and visited the sick. His (Prophet’s) speech was sweet, comprehensive, and he had the most beautiful way with words. His words captured the hearts and souls. Even his enemies had to admit to this quality.
[13]. Muhammad, God's messenger ﷺ said, "He who is not merciful to people, Allāh will not be merciful to him". Happy are those who are merciful to others; Allāh will be merciful to them. This hadith states the importance of showing mercy and kindness towards others and forgiving them. Muhammad, God's Messenger ﷺ also said `Allah, the Exalted, said: My love is due to those who love one another for My sake, meet one another for My sake, visit one another for My sake and spend in charity for My sake".
