Translation of the meanings Ayah: (27) Surah: Al-Mā’idah
۞ وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ ٱبۡنَيۡ ءَادَمَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ إِذۡ قَرَّبَا قُرۡبَانٗا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنۡ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمۡ يُتَقَبَّلۡ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقۡتُلَنَّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
27. Relate to them the true story of the two sons of Adam (Cain and Abel). Each one of them offered an offering, but it was accepted from one of them31, and was not accepted from the other32. He (Cain, out of his jealousy and envy) said (to his brother): "I will certainly kill you." (Abel) replied: "Allah only accepts from the pious ones."
31. Abel, as he offered the best from his flocks of sheep.
32. Cain, as he offered the worst of his harvest.
