Translation of the meanings Ayah: (38) Surah: Al-Mā’idah
وَٱلسَّارِقُ وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ فَٱقۡطَعُوٓاْ أَيۡدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَٰلٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٞ
38. As for the thief, male or female, cut off their hands as a recompense for that which they have committed39, as a deterrent punishment from Allah. For Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
39. Theft proven either by confession or by the testimony of two reliable eye witnesses, and it is not an opportunistic theft but rather a deliberate break in to property.
