Translation of the meanings Surah: At-Toor   Ayah:

At-Toor

Ayah: 1

وَٱلطُّورِ
1. (I swear) by the Mount (Sinai)¹,
1. I.e., where Allāh spoke to Moses.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

وَكِتَٰبٖ مَّسۡطُورٖ
2. And by a Book Inscribed (this Qur’an),
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 3

فِي رَقّٖ مَّنشُورٖ
3. In a parchment spread,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 4

وَٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡمُورِ
4. (I swear) by the House² frequently visited ,
2. I.e., the House of worship above the Ka’bah in the heavens, or the Ka’bah in Makkah.

Ayah: 5

وَٱلسَّقۡفِ ٱلۡمَرۡفُوعِ
5. And by the roof raised high (the sky),

Ayah: 6

وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ ٱلۡمَسۡجُورِ
6. And (by) the sea set on fire,

Ayah: 7

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
7. Indeed, the torment of your Lord will inevitably occur;

Ayah: 8

مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٖ
8. there is none who can avert it. 
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 9

يَوۡمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوۡرٗا
9. The Day when the heaven will rotate with (great) rotating.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 10

وَتَسِيرُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرٗا
10. And the mountains will move away moving (as clouds and scattered dust).

Ayah: 11

فَوَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
11. So woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth),

Ayah: 12

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي خَوۡضٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ
12. those who amuse themselves in falsehood.

Ayah: 13

يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
13. The Day on which they will be thrust to the Fire of Gehinnom with (terrible) thrusting, (and will be told):

Ayah: 14

هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
14. This is the Hellfire which you used to deny.
