1 : 70

سَأَلَ سَآئِلُۢ بِعَذَابٖ وَاقِعٖ

1. (Mockingly) a questioner asked of a befalling torment, info

لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ لَيۡسَ لَهُۥ دَافِعٞ

2. To the disbelievers - there is none to avert it, info

3 : 70

مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذِي ٱلۡمَعَارِجِ

3. From Allāh -owner of the ways of ascent. info

4 : 70

تَعۡرُجُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيۡهِ فِي يَوۡمٖ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥ خَمۡسِينَ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ

4. The angels and the (holy) Spirit (Gabriel) ascend to Him on a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years. info

5 : 70

فَٱصۡبِرۡ صَبۡرٗا جَمِيلًا

5. So be patient with a beautiful patience [1]. info

[1]. In which there is no anguish or complain.

6 : 70

إِنَّهُمۡ يَرَوۡنَهُۥ بَعِيدٗا

6. Indeed, they see it (the Day of Resurrection) far away, info

7 : 70

وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبٗا

7. And We see it near. info

8 : 70

يَوۡمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ

8. On the Day when the sky will be as molten copper. info

9 : 70

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ

9. And the mountains will be as wool-tufts. info

10 : 70

وَلَا يَسۡـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمٗا

10. And no intimate (friend) will ask about an intimate friend (that Day), info

11 : 70

يُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ يَفۡتَدِي مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِئِذِۭ بِبَنِيهِ

11. Though they will see each other. The guilty one will wish that he (could be) ransomed himself from the torment of that Day by his children, info

وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَأَخِيهِ

12. and his spouse, and his brother, info

13 : 70

وَفَصِيلَتِهِ ٱلَّتِي تُـٔۡوِيهِ

13. And his clan that shelter him, info

14 : 70

وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ

14. And whoever is in the earth all together, so that this might deliver him. info

15 : 70

كَلَّآۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ

15. By no means. It is a raging Flame! - info

16 : 70

نَزَّاعَةٗ لِّلشَّوَىٰ

16. that strips away the skin [2], info

[2]. Referring to the skin of the head or of the body, which will be burned away.

17 : 70

تَدۡعُواْ مَنۡ أَدۡبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

17. Calling whoever turns his back and turn away (from theTruth) [3]. info

[3]. Picking and swallowing them up from that great gathering of mankind on the Day of Resurrection just as a bird picks up a food-grain from the earth with its beak and swallows it up.

18 : 70

وَجَمَعَ فَأَوۡعَىٰٓ

18. And amassed (wealth) and hoarded [4]. info

[4]. Refraining from paying from it what is
due for the people and for the poor.

19 : 70

۞ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا

19. Indeed, man is created impatient, info

20 : 70

إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعٗا

20. When evil touches him, (he is) impatient, info

21 : 70

وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلۡخَيۡرُ مَنُوعًا

21. And when good touches him, niggardly, info

22 : 70

إِلَّا ٱلۡمُصَلِّينَ

22. Except those who pray (i.e., the believers), info

23 : 70

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ دَآئِمُونَ

23. Those who are at their prayer constant, info

24 : 70

وَٱلَّذِينَ فِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ

24. And those in whose wealth there is a known right (a fixed portion). info

25 : 70

لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ

25. For the one who asks [for help] and the deprived. info

26 : 70

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

26. And who sincerely acknowledge in the Day of (Judgment and) Recompense, info

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشۡفِقُونَ

27. And who are fearful of the Torment of their Lord. info

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمۡ غَيۡرُ مَأۡمُونٖ

28. Indeed, the torment of their Lord is [a thing] not to be felt [wholly] secure of - info

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ حَٰفِظُونَ

29. And those who guard their chastity, info
التفاسير:

30 : 70

إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَ

30. Except with their wives or those [bondwomen] whom they rightfully possess, for then, they are not to be blamed; info

31 : 70

فَمَنِ ٱبۡتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡعَادُونَ

31. But whoever seeks to go beyond that, they are the transgressors. info

32 : 70

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ

32. And those who honor their trusts and covenant [5], info

[5]. Muhammad, God's messenger (ﷺ) said: "Oh believers, guarantee me you will do six things and I guarantee you Paradise. Whenever you speak say the truth. Fulfill your promises when you make them. When you are entrusted with something, carry out that trust. Safeguard your private parts, lower your gaze and prevent your hands from (stealing and) harming others.”
The prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) also said: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the people are safe, and the believer is the one from whom the people's lives and wealth are safe. And the emigrant is the one who abandons what Allāh has forbidden."
The Muslim does not insult, curse, or backbite, nor does he seek to sow any type of evil or corruption among people. Also, people are safe from his hand, so he does not assault them, take their property without right, or do anything of that nature. The real emigrant, is the one who gives up what Allāh, the Almighty, has forbidden.

33 : 70

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمۡ قَآئِمُونَ

33. And those who stand by their testimonies [6], info

[6]. Everyone who acknowledges and testifies that Allāh is the only true God and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allāh, Allāh will admit him to Paradise, but the one who denies Allāh and His messenger, the prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), will be denied to enter Paradise.

34 : 70

وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُونَ

34. And those who (carefully) maintain their prayer, info

35 : 70

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي جَنَّٰتٖ مُّكۡرَمُونَ

35. These will be in Gardens [of Bliss], honored. info

36 : 70

فَمَالِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ قِبَلَكَ مُهۡطِعِينَ

36. So what is the matter with those who disbelieve [in the Truth] that before you [O Muhammad] they hasten, info

37 : 70

عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ

37. From the right and from the left, in crowds? info

38 : 70

أَيَطۡمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَن يُدۡخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٖ

38. Does every person of them aspire to be admitted a garden of bliss? info

39 : 70

كَلَّآۖ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ

39. By no means. Surely, We created them of what they know [7]. info

[7]. I.e., an unworthy seminal fluid. Yet they are arrogant, neglectful of the Hereafter life.

40 : 70

فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغَٰرِبِ إِنَّا لَقَٰدِرُونَ

40. But nay! I swear by the Lord of all (points in the) East and the West [8], that We are surely Able - info

[8]. And what is in them, of the sun and the moon and the constellations: i.e., Allāh swearing by Himself. Allāh is the One Who determines the daily points of sunrise and sunset according to each season by the rotation of the earth around its axis.

41 : 70

عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِينَ

41. That We may replace them with better than them, and never shall We be outstripped. info

42 : 70

فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوضُواْ وَيَلۡعَبُواْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ

42. So leave them alone to engage in vain talk and play until they meet their Day which they are promised; info

43 : 70

يَوۡمَ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعٗا كَأَنَّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٖ يُوفِضُونَ

43. The Day on which they will come forth from the sepulchres rapidly, as if they are rushing to an idol [9]. info

[9]. I.e., just as they used to race towards a newly appointed idol for a blessing, to be among the first of its worshipers.

44 : 70

خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ

44. Their eyes are cast down, humiliation will cover them. This is the Day which they were promised. info
التفاسير:
