Ayah: 1

وَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ
1 אבוי לאלה המחסירים במשקל ובמידה,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكۡتَالُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُونَ
2 שעבור עצמם הם דורשים מאחרים את מלוא המשקל והמידה,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 3

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُونَ
3 אך, כאשר הם נותנים לאחרים לפי משקל או מידה, הם מפחיתים.

Ayah: 4

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ
4 האם האנשים הללו אינם מבינים שהם יקומו לתחיה?

Ayah: 5

لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ
5 (הם יקומו לתחיה) ליום הגורלי,

Ayah: 6

يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
6 היום אשר בו יעמדו בני האדם לפני ריבון העולמים,

Ayah: 7

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٖ
7 אכן! אך התיעוד של הרשעים הוא בסיג'ין,

Ayah: 8

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٞ
8 ומה הובא לידיעתך לגבי הסיג'ין?

Ayah: 9

كِتَٰبٞ مَّرۡقُومٞ
9 זהו תיעוד רשום!

Ayah: 10

وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
10 אבוי, ביום ההוא, לאלה למתכחשים בשקר,

ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
11 אלה שמתכחשים בשקר ליום הדין,

وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
12 ולא יתכחש בזה מישהו מלבד כופר רשע ומרושע.

Ayah: 13

إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
13 כאשר דברי אללה מועברים אליו, הוא אומר: “אלו אגדות ישנות!”

Ayah: 14

كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
14 לחלוטין לא! מעשיהם המרושעים אופפים את ליבם!

Ayah: 15

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمۡ عَن رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ
15 אכן! ביום ההוא, יוצב חוצץ בינם לבין ריבונם,

ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُواْ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
16 והם יושלכו אל אש הגיהינום.

ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
17 ולאחר מכן, יגידו להם: “זה הדבר אשר בו כפרתם”.

Ayah: 18

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
18 אך לעומת זאת, התיעוד של מעשי הצדיקים שמור במרומים (“עיליין”).

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
19 והאם תדע בכלל מה המרומים (“עיליין”)?

كِتَٰبٞ مَّرۡقُومٞ
20 זה תיעוד רשום,

Ayah: 21

يَشۡهَدُهُ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ
21 והמלאכים המקורבים לאללה יעידו עליו.

Ayah: 22

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
22 הצדיקים ודאי יהיו באושר עילאי.

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
23 הם יישבו על כורסאות ויביטו סביבם בפליאה.

Ayah: 24

تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
24 תמצא על פניהם את קרינתו של האושר העילאי.

Ayah: 25

يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن رَّحِيقٖ مَّخۡتُومٍ
25 יינתן להם לשתות יין טהור וחתום.

Ayah: 26

خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكٞۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ
26 החותם יהיה עשוי ממאסק, כי זה מעניק את ההשתוקקות למשתוקקים.

Ayah: 27

وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِيمٍ
27 והיין הזה נמהל במי המעיין מגן העדן,

Ayah: 28

عَيۡنٗا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ
28 מעיין אשר ממנו ישתו אלו הקרובים לאללה.

Ayah: 29

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضۡحَكُونَ
29 אכן, הכופרים המתכחשים נהגו לצחוק על המאמינים

Ayah: 30

وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
30 וכאשר הם היו חולפים על פניהם, הם היו קורצים עין זה לזה (בזלזול),

Ayah: 31

وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ
31 וכאשר הם היו חוזרים אל בתיהם, הם נהגו לרכל עליהם.

Ayah: 32

وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ
32 וכאשר הם היו רואים אותם, הם היו אומרים בזלזול “אלה בוודאי תעו בדרך”.

Ayah: 33

وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ
33 אף שהם לא נשלחו להיות להם לשומרים.

Ayah: 34

فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَ
34 לכן היום, המאמינים יצחקו על אלו שכפרו.

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ
35 על מושבים נוחים הם יושבים ומביטים מסביב, כדי לראות,

هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ
36 האם אלו שכפרו בצדק קיבלו את מה שראויים לו בגלל מעשיהם?
