Sura Al-Masad

Ayah: 1

تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ
¡Maldito sea Abu Lahab y que perezca!
Abu Lahab: Tío del Profeta Mujámmad y acérrimo enemigo del Islam.

Ayah: 2

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
No le servirán de nada su poder ni sus bienes materiales.

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ
Será arrojado en el fuego llameante

Ayah: 4

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ
junto con su mujer, la que acarreaba espinas,
Porque minaba el camino del Profeta, que la paz y las bendiciones de Dios sean con él, con espinas.

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ
que llevará en su cuello una cuerda de fibras de palmera.
