[24]. The “everlasting good deeds” refer to all actions that please Allāh, the Almighty — whether they are the five daily prayers or words of remembrance of Him. Unlike the fleeting adornments of worldly life, these deeds endure forever for those who perform them, and they are called “good” because they are carried out in a manner that pleases Allāh.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, “To say: Subḥānallāh (Glory be to Allāh), Al-ḥamdu lillāh (All praise and gratitude be to Allāh), Lā ilāha illallāh (There is no god but Allāh), and Allāhu Akbar (Allāh is the Greatest) — these are among the everlasting good deeds.”
