ثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَزۡوَٰجٖۖ مِّنَ ٱلضَّأۡنِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِ وَمِنَ ٱلۡمَعۡزِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِۗ قُلۡ ءَآلذَّكَرَيۡنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِ أَمَّا ٱشۡتَمَلَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ أَرۡحَامُ ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِۖ نَبِّـُٔونِي بِعِلۡمٍ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
143. [He created] eight in pairs: two of sheep and two of goats [23]. Say, “Has He forbidden the two males, or the two females, or what the wombs of the two females contain? Tell me with knowledge, if you are truthful.”
[23]. The verse refers to four pairs so far (sheep and goats; male and female of each). The pagans claimed certain animals were forbidden to eat depending on their sex or birth — such as saying: “Only males may eat this,”
or “This offspring is sacred for our idols.”
Allāh exposes the falsehood of these invented laws and demands proof.

6
وَمِنَ ٱلۡإِبِلِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِ وَمِنَ ٱلۡبَقَرِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِۗ قُلۡ ءَآلذَّكَرَيۡنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِ أَمَّا ٱشۡتَمَلَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ أَرۡحَامُ ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِۖ أَمۡ كُنتُمۡ شُهَدَآءَ إِذۡ وَصَّىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَاۚ فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبٗا لِّيُضِلَّ ٱلنَّاسَ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
144. And of the camels, two [male and female] and of the cows, two. Say: "Did He forbid the two males, or the two females, or what their wombs carry?" Or were you even witnesses when Allāh gave this command? Who, then, could commit a greater wrong than one who invents a lie about Allāh to mislead others without knowledge? Indeed, Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.

قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِي مَآ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٖ يَطۡعَمُهُۥٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَكُونَ مَيۡتَةً أَوۡ دَمٗا مَّسۡفُوحًا أَوۡ لَحۡمَ خِنزِيرٖ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجۡسٌ أَوۡ فِسۡقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيۡرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦۚ فَمَنِ ٱضۡطُرَّ غَيۡرَ بَاغٖ وَلَا عَادٖ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
145. Say, [O Muhammad]: "I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden for anyone to eat unless it be carrion, blood that has been poured out, pork—for it is impure—or that which is [slaughtered in] transgression, dedicated to other than Allāh. But whoever is compelled by necessity, without desiring it or exceeding the limits, then your Lord is indeed All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

6
وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ حَرَّمۡنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٖۖ وَمِنَ ٱلۡبَقَرِ وَٱلۡغَنَمِ حَرَّمۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتۡ ظُهُورُهُمَآ أَوِ ٱلۡحَوَايَآ أَوۡ مَا ٱخۡتَلَطَ بِعَظۡمٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيۡنَٰهُم بِبَغۡيِهِمۡۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
146. To the Jews, We forbade every animal with undivided hooves [24], and among oxen and sheep, We made unlawful their fat—except what adheres to their backs, their entrails, or what is mixed with bones. Thus We recompensed them for their rebellion, and indeed, We speak the truth.
[24]. i.e., clawed animals that have nails in their toes, e.g., camels, ostriches, duck, geese, etc.
