ಅರ್ಥಗಳ ಅನುವಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ ಸೂರ ಅತ್ತಕಾಸುರ್ - ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಅನುವಾದ - ಸಹೀಹ್ ಇಂಟರ್‌ನ್ಯಾಶನಲ್ - ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕುರ್‌ಆನ್ ವಿಶ್ವಕೋಶ

At-Takāthur

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 1

أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ

(1) Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 2

حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ

(2) Until you visit the graveyards.^[1980]

[1980]- i.e., remain in them temporarily, meaning until the Day of Resurrection.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 3

كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

(3) No! You are going to know.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 4

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ

(4) Then, no! You are going to know.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 5

كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ

(5) No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...^[1981]

[1981]- The conclusion of this verse is estimated to be "...you would not have been distracted from preparing for the Hereafter."

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 6

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ

(6) You will surely see the Hellfire.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 7

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ

(7) Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.^[1982]

[1982]- i.e., with actual eyesight.

ಶ್ಲೋಕ: 8

ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

(8) Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.^[1983]

[1983]- i.e., the comforts of worldly life and whether you were grateful to Allāh for His blessings.
