275 : 2

ٱلَّذِينَ يَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ لَا يَقُومُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ ٱلَّذِي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡبَيۡعُ مِثۡلُ ٱلرِّبَوٰاْۗ وَأَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡبَيۡعَ وَحَرَّمَ ٱلرِّبَوٰاْۚ فَمَن جَآءَهُۥ مَوۡعِظَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ فَٱنتَهَىٰ فَلَهُۥ مَا سَلَفَ وَأَمۡرُهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَنۡ عَادَ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

275. Those who consume interest (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except as one whom Satan has confounded by (his) touch stands. That is because they say: "Trading is just like usury 'interest', whereas Allāh has permitted trading [104] and forbidden interest [105]. So, whoever the admonition has come from his Lord (Allāh), so refrains, he shall have (the gains of) what has passed, and his case is for Allāh (to judge). Whoever returns (to usury) these are the companions of the Fire - they will abide therein. info

[104]. Muhammad, God's messenger ﷺ said, "The seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they have not parted or till they part; and if both the parties spoke the truth and described the defects and qualities (of the goods) honestly, then they would be blessed in their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their transaction would be lost."
[105]. Usurers stand like one beguiled,
by Satan’s touch, confused and riled.
Trade is lawful, but interest is banned. Muhammad, God's messenger ﷺ prohibited taking money for blood, the price of a dog, the earnings by prostitution, and the money paid to a soothsayer; and he cursed her who tattoos and her who gets tattooed, the eater of Riba (usury - interest), and the maker of images."

276 : 2

يَمۡحَقُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ وَيُرۡبِي ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ

276. Allāh destroys [the gains of] interest (usury) and gives increase for charities. Allāh does not like every ungrateful, sinful one. info

277 : 2

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَأَقَامُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُاْ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ

277. Indeed, those who believe and do good deeds who are steadfast in their prayers and give the poor-rate [zakah], they will have their reward from their Lord (Allāh). They will have no fear, nor will they grieve. info

278 : 2

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَذَرُواْ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ ٱلرِّبَوٰٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

278. O believers, fear Allāh and give up what remains (due to you) of interest (usury), if you are true believers. info

279 : 2

فَإِن لَّمۡ تَفۡعَلُواْ فَأۡذَنُواْ بِحَرۡبٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۖ وَإِن تُبۡتُمۡ فَلَكُمۡ رُءُوسُ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ لَا تَظۡلِمُونَ وَلَا تُظۡلَمُونَ

279. But if you do not [give up interest], then be informed of War (against you) from Allāh and His messenger. However, if you sincerely repent [106], you will retain your capital - wrong not [107] and you will not be wronged [108]. info

[106]. And give up interest based transactions completely.
[107]. By asking for more than your capital sums.
[108]. By receiving less than your capital sums.

280 : 2

وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسۡرَةٖ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَىٰ مَيۡسَرَةٖۚ وَأَن تَصَدَّقُواْ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

280. If (the debtor) is in difficulty, then he should (be granted) a respite to (the time of) ease. And if you remit as charity (it is) better for you, if you only knew [109]. info

[109]. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “Whoever is hopeful that Allāh will spare him the hardships of the Day of Judgement, then let him grant deferral to a constrained debtor, or relieve him ˹altogether˺”.

281 : 2

وَٱتَّقُواْ يَوۡمٗا تُرۡجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّا كَسَبَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ

281. Beware of a Day when you will be [all] returned to Allāh; then every soul shall be paid back in full what it has done, and they will not be dealt with unjustly. info
