102 : 2

102. And they followed (instead) what the devils had falsely related concerning the kingdom of Solomon. Yet Solomon did not disbelieve (practice sorcery), but the devils disbelieved, teaching people sorcery and what had been sent down to the two angels [29] in Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two would not teach anyone without first saying, "We are only a trial (for you), so do not disbelieve." And yet they learned from them what could cause separation between a man and his wife. But they could not harm anyone except by Allah’s permission. And they learned what harmed them and did not benefit them. And they surely knew that whoever purchased it (the magic) would have no share in the Hereafter life. Wretched indeed was the price for which they sold themselves, if they only knew. info

[29]. A variant reading has al-malikayn, "the two kings" who were in Babylon - Harut and Marut - here the names stand for the two angels or the two kings.

103 : 2

103. And if only they (the Jews) had believed and guarded (themselves against evil), then the reward with Allāh would have been far better; if they only knew. info

104 : 2

104. O believers, do not say (to God's messenger), "Ra’ina", but say: "Unthurna" [30] and listen. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment. info

[30]. Rāʿinā in Arabic literally means “consider us / give us your attention” but was twisted mockingly by some Jews into an insulting play on words, which is why believers were forbidden to use it.
Unẓurnā means “look upon us / grant us attention” and avoids the ambiguity.
“listen” stresses attentiveness to the Prophet ﷺ instead of demanding his attention improperly. In this Verse there is evidence of severe prohibition to imitate the pagans and the deniers in their words and actions, their dress, their festivals, their worship and other matters that were not prescribed for us or approved by Islam.

105 : 2

105. Neither the disbelievers from among the followers of the Scripture (i.e., Jews and Christians) nor the idolaters wish that any thing good should be sent down to you (O believers) from your Lord. But Allāh singles out for His mercy whomever He wills. And Allāh is the possessor of immense bounty. info
