154 : 2

وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَن يُقۡتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٰتُۢۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٞ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشۡعُرُونَ

154. Do not say about those who are slain in the Cause of Allāh that they are dead. Rather, (they are) alive, though you do not perceive it.

155 : 2

وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيۡءٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡخَوۡفِ وَٱلۡجُوعِ وَنَقۡصٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰلِ وَٱلۡأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

155. We will surely test you with a measure of fear, hunger, and loss of wealth, lives, and crops. But give glad tidings to those who are patient ^[51],

[51]. Blessed is the one who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive much rewards and favors, which Allāh has promised to those who are patient during hardships.
When you meet with various trials consider it all joy, knowing as you do that this tested quality of your faith produces endurance. The various trial you face in life will put your faith to the test. But if you endure patiently the results are positive. You will gain more faith and a stronger relationship with Almighty Allāh.

156 : 2

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتۡهُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيۡهِ رَٰجِعُونَ

156. Those who, when a calamity strikes them, say, "Indeed, we belong to Allāh, and to Him alone we shall return."

157 : 2

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَلَوَٰتٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَرَحۡمَةٞۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدُونَ

157. It is they who will have blessings and mercy from their Lord, and it is they who are rightly guided.

158 : 2

۞ إِنَّ ٱلصَّفَا وَٱلۡمَرۡوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَمَنۡ حَجَّ ٱلۡبَيۡتَ أَوِ ٱعۡتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَاۚ وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيۡرٗا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ

158. Indeed, Safa and Marwah ^[52] are among the symbols of Allāh ^[53]; so whoever makes a pilgrimage to the House (the Ka’bah in Makkah), or performs 'Umrah, there is no blame on him to circulate between them. Whoever does good of his own accord then surely Allāh is Most Appreciative, All-Knowing.

[52]. Names of two small mountains in Makkah. They are reminders of God’s Love as Allāh settled Ismael and his mother Hagar in Mecca, near which they had found relief and water at the Well of Zamzam. Ismail is associated with the construction of the Ka’bah and considered the ancestor to prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
[53]. That He hears your prayers and forgives your sins, if you come to Him with pure heart full of submission, free of polytheism, hypocrisy, and arrogance.

159 : 2

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكۡتُمُونَ مَآ أَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلۡهُدَىٰ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا بَيَّنَّٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يَلۡعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَلۡعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّٰعِنُونَ

159. Indeed, those who conceal the clear proofs and guidance that We revealed, after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture - these are cursed by Allāh, and cursed by those who curse (among Allah's creatures).

160 : 2

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَأَصۡلَحُواْ وَبَيَّنُواْ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَأَنَا ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

160. Except for those who repent, reform, and make clear (what they had concealed) - it is they to whom I turn in mercy; for I am the Accepter of Repentance, the Most Merciful.

161 : 2

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِينَ

161. Indeed, those who disbelieve (in Allāh and His Messenger Muhammad) and die while they are disbelievers, upon them is the Curse of Allāh, the angels and all of mankind;

162 : 2

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنظَرُونَ

162. Abiding therein forever; the Punishment will not be lightened for them nor will they be granted any respite.

163 : 2

وَإِلَٰهُكُمۡ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۖ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

163. And your God is only one God (Allāh). There is no god (worthy of worship) except Him, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
