12 : 7

12. [Allāh) said: "What prevented you that you did not prostrate when I commanded you?" [Iblis] said: "I am better than him (Adam). You created me from fire, and created him from clay." info

13. [Allāh] said: “Then descend from it [Paradise], for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get you out; indeed, you are among the humiliated.” info

16 : 7

16. [Iblīs] said: “Because You have led me astray [5], I will surely sit in wait for them [mankind] on Your Straight Path.” info

[5]. By asserting that Allāh had already decreed his misguidance, Satan set a precedent as the first to misuse the concept of predestination as an excuse for disobedience, attempting to rationalize his rebellion against the divine command.

19 : 7

19. “O Adam, dwell you and your wife in the Garden, and eat freely wherever you wish, but do not approach this tree, lest you become among the transgressors.” info

20 : 7

20. Then, Satan whispered to them in order to display to them what was hidden from them of their private parts. (Satan) said: "Your Lord has not forbidden you this tree except that you become angels or be immortals." info

21 : 7

21. He [Satan] swore to both of them [Adam and Eve], saying: “Indeed, I am for you both a sincere adviser [6].” info

[6]. Satan reinforced his deception with an oath, claiming sincerity to gain their trust. By swearing falsely in Allah’s name, he displayed the depth of his deceit and the extent of his enmity toward humankind. This act illustrates how falsehood, when cloaked in apparent sincerity, can mislead even those who are pure in intention — a timeless warning against deceptive counsel and misplaced trust.

22 : 7

22. Thus he deceived them with his cunning. But when they tasted of the tree, their nakedness became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together leaves from the Garden to cover themselves. Then their Lord called out to them, saying, “Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is indeed an open enemy to you?” info
