1 : 75

لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

1. Nay! (I swear) by the Day of Resurrection. info

2 : 75

وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ

2. And nay! I swear by the self-reproaching soul [¹].  info

1. Of the believer, which blames oneself whenever falls into sin or error, that you will all certainly be resurrected after death.

3 : 75

أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ

3. Does man think that We cannot reassemble his bones (and resurrect him) [²]? info

2. After his death for Judgment.

4 : 75

بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُۥ

4. Yes indeed, (We are) Able (even) to make (again) his finger-tips info

5 : 75

بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ

5. Rather man wants to continue in sin (and deny what is) ahead of him (3). info

3. This refers to the disbeliever, who denies the Day of Resurrection and Judgment.

6 : 75

يَسۡـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

6. He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection (and Judgment)?" info

فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ

7. So, when the sight is dazed, info

8 : 75

وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ

8. And the moon eclipsed, info

9 : 75

وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ

9. And the sun and the moon are brought together (4), info

4. Rising from the west and losing their lights.

10 : 75

يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ

10. Man will say on that Day: "Where is the escape?" info

كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ

11. Nay! There is no refuge [5]. info

12 : 75

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ

12. To your Lord on that Day will be the only place of rest. info

13 : 75

يُنَبَّؤُاْ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ

13. Man will be informed on that Day, of all that he sent forth and kept back [5]. info

5. I.e., whatever good and bad deeds he committed or omitted.

14 : 75

بَلِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٞ

14. Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness. info

15 : 75

وَلَوۡ أَلۡقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ

15. Even if he presents his excuses. info

16 : 75

لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ

16. Do not move (Muhammad) your tongue to hasten with it [6]. info

6. I.e., reciting and repeating what is revealed to you of the Qur'an before its completion.

17 : 75

إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ

17. Indeed, it is upon Us its collection [in your heart] and 'to make possible' to recite it (the Qur’an). info

18 : 75

فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ

18. So, when We recite it (through Gabriel to you Muhammad) follow its recitation. info

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ

19. Then, indeed it is upon Us its explanation (to you). info
