قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ تَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجٗا وَأَنتُمۡ شُهَدَآءُۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ

99. Say: "O followers of the (past) Scripture, why do you hinder him who believes from the Path of Allāh 'Islam'? You seek (to make) it seem crooked, while you witness (that it is straight)31? Allāh is not unaware of what you do.

31. They are chastised for devising schemes to deviate people from the Straight Path of Islam while being fully aware and secretly bearing witness to its Truth.
