የይዘት ትርጉም ምዕራፍ ሱረቱ አል ቡሩጅ - እንግሊዝኛ ትርጉም - በያዕቆብ - የቅዱስ ቁርዓን ማህደር

Al-Burūj

አንቀጽ: 1

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِ

1. By the heaven with constellations,

አንቀጽ: 2

وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ

2. And by the Promised Day (of Resurrection),

አንቀጽ: 3

وَشَاهِدٖ وَمَشۡهُودٖ

3. And by the witness 'Prophet Muhammad' and that which is witnessed¹.

1. The Day of Judgment.

አንቀጽ: 4

قُتِلَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ

4. Cursed be the makers of the trench.

አንቀጽ: 5

ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ

5. Of the fire, burning fiercely 'torturing the believers in it',

አንቀጽ: 6

إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُودٞ

6. While they themselves sat around it,

አንቀጽ: 7

وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُودٞ

7. Witnessing what they were doing to the believers.

አንቀጽ: 8

وَمَا نَقَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ

8. They had nothing against them except that they believed in Allāh, the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy,

አንቀጽ: 9

ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌ

9. To Whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. Allāh is Ever a Witness over all things.

አንቀጽ: 10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُواْ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواْ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ

10. Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will surely have the torment of Gehinnom, and the torment of the burning Fire.

አንቀጽ: 11

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ

11. As for those who believe and do righteous deeds, they will surely have Gardens under which rivers flow - that is the great achievement.

አንቀጽ: 12

إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

12. The Grip² of 'Allāh' your Lord is surely terribly Severe.

2. Seizure and Vengeance.

አንቀጽ: 13

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

13. It is He 'Allāh' Who creates (everything) from the very beginning and causes it to return (to life after death for Judgment)3,

3. We know how dearly God loves us, because he has sent us his messenger Muhammad to guide us to the straight path. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful relationship with God, because of the Qur’an He sent down to us, and the messenger he sent to us i.e., Prophet Muhammad. Any person who meets Allāh, while testifying that there is no god worthy of worship except Allāh, and that Muhammad His Messenger, without entertaining any doubt about it, will not be barred from entering Heaven.''

አንቀጽ: 14

وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ

14. He is the All-Forgiving, the All Loving³,

3. Allāh is the Creator, the author of life, who is, in his very nature, loving and kind. Love is from Him. He is loving and merciful toward his creatures, and no creature experiences that love and mercy in a more intense or special way than the creature made in Allah’s own image, namely man. If you do not have love and affection, you are nothing. If you do not have love and kindness, you gain nothing of that you may boast of doing good deeds. The believer is patient, kind and loving. He does not envy, not boast, he is not proud. Allāh, Our Lord is All-Forgiving, All-Embracing in His love.

አንቀጽ: 15

ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُ

15. The Owner of the Throne, the Glorious,

አንቀጽ: 16

فَعَّالٞ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

16. The Doer of whatever He wills.

አንቀጽ: 17

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ

17. Has there come to you the story of the soldiers?

አንቀጽ: 18

فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ

18. Of Pharaoh and Thamud?

አንቀጽ: 19

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبٖ

19. Yet the deniers (persist) in rejecting the Truth (and opposing the Peace).

አንቀጽ: 20

وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢ

20. Although Allāh encompasses them from all sides (and will requite them for their misdeeds).

አንቀጽ: 21

بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٞ مَّجِيدٞ

21. But this is a Glorious Qu’ran.

አንቀጽ: 22

فِي لَوۡحٖ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ

22. (Inscribed) in a Preserved Tablet.
