Translation of the meanings Surah: Al-Kahf   Ayah:
وَدَخَلَ جَنَّتَهُۥ وَهُوَ ظَالِمٞ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ قَالَ مَآ أَظُنُّ أَن تَبِيدَ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَبَدٗا
35. And he entered his garden while he was unjust for himself. He said: "I do not think that this will ever perish."
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةٗ وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيۡرٗا مِّنۡهَا مُنقَلَبٗا
36. Nor do I think that the Hour 'of Doom' will come. And even if I am returned to (Allāh) my Lord, I shall find a returning place better than it.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
قَالَ لَهُۥ صَاحِبُهُۥ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَكَفَرۡتَ بِٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ مِن تُرَابٖ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰكَ رَجُلٗا
37. His fellow said to him while conversing with him: "Have you disbelieved (in Allāh) Who created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm, then made you a perfect man?"
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
لَّٰكِنَّا۠ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّي وَلَآ أُشۡرِكُ بِرَبِّيٓ أَحَدٗا
38. But He Allāh is my Lord, and I do not associate anyone in worship with my Lord18.
18. None is worthy of worship except Allāh, the Sovereign Lord of all beings.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
وَلَوۡلَآ إِذۡ دَخَلۡتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلۡتَ مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِۚ إِن تَرَنِ أَنَا۠ أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالٗا وَوَلَدٗا
39. If only when you entered your garden, you had said, "Whatever Allāh wills (will come to pass)19, there is no power except with Allāh?20. Even though you see me less than you in wealth and children,
19. Once a man came to the Prophet and said, “With the Will of Allāh and (also) with your will”, he (the Prophet) then said, “Have you made me an associate with Allāh? Rather it is what Allāh Alone wills.”
20. Muhammad, God's Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Shall I not teach you a word which is one of the treasures of Paradise? It is to say 'lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh' (i.e., there is no ability or power except through Allāh).
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
فَعَسَىٰ رَبِّيٓ أَن يُؤۡتِيَنِ خَيۡرٗا مِّن جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهَا حُسۡبَانٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتُصۡبِحَ صَعِيدٗا زَلَقًا
40. Yet it maybe that (Allāh) my Lord will give me what is better than your garden, and He send upon it a thunderbolt from the sky, so it becomes a slippery flattened plain ground.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
أَوۡ يُصۡبِحَ مَآؤُهَا غَوۡرٗا فَلَن تَسۡتَطِيعَ لَهُۥ طَلَبٗا
41. Or its water will become sunken deep (into the ground), so that you will never be able to seek it.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِۦ فَأَصۡبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيۡهِ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أُشۡرِكۡ بِرَبِّيٓ أَحَدٗا
42. And his fruits were encompassed (by ruin)21; and there he was, wringing his hands (in grief) for what he had spent on it, while it had collapsed on its trellises, and said: "Woe to me. Would that I had not associated anyone with my Lord."
21. One should not be swayed away from the reason for existence by the adornment of life; all of it will be gone one day.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
وَلَمۡ تَكُن لَّهُۥ فِئَةٞ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِرًا
43. And he had no group to help him against Allāh, and he was not capable 'even' to help himself.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
هُنَالِكَ ٱلۡوَلَٰيَةُ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ هُوَ خَيۡرٞ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٌ عُقۡبٗا
44. There, the authority is only for Allah, the True One. He is Best in reward and Best in 'final' outcome.
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:
وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَصۡبَحَ هَشِيمٗا تَذۡرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مُّقۡتَدِرًا
45. And present to them the example of the life of this world, it is like water which We send down from the sky, so the plants of the earth mingles with it, then it becomes dry grass broken into pieces which the winds scatter. And it is Allāh who has absolute power over all things.
