إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تُنذِرۡهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
6. Indeed, those who (persistently) disbelieve (in the Truth) - it is the same for them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe.

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَعَلَىٰ سَمۡعِهِمۡۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡ غِشَٰوَةٞۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ
7. Allāh has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and over their eyes is a veil [7]. And for them is a tremendous punishment.
[7]. A veil preventing them from accepting the guidance, because of their arrogance and persistence in sin.

2
وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ
8. "Among the people are those (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allāh and the Last Day;" but they are not believers.

2
يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَمَا يَخۡدَعُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ
9. They (try to) deceive Allāh and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and they do not perceive it.

2
فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٞ فَزَادَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَرَضٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمُۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡذِبُونَ
10. In their hearts is a disease 'of doubt', and Allāh has increased their disease. They will have a painful punishment for their (persistent) lies.

2
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ لَا تُفۡسِدُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا نَحۡنُ مُصۡلِحُونَ
11. And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption in the earth;" they say, "We are only reformers."

أَلَآ إِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدُونَ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَشۡعُرُونَ
12. Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they do not realize it.

:
2
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ ءَامِنُواْ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلنَّاسُ قَالُوٓاْ أَنُؤۡمِنُ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُۗ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ
13. And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed, they say: "Shall we believe as the fools [8] have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the fools, but they do not know.
[8]. For the acceptance of the Truth is foolishness for the deniers and hypocrites, to those who are perishing, but to the Muslims who surrender to the will of God and are pure, it is the message of love and mercy from God.

2
وَإِذَا لَقُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ شَيَٰطِينِهِمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا مَعَكُمۡ إِنَّمَا نَحۡنُ مُسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
14. And when they meet those who believe, they say: We believe (also); but when they are alone with their devils, they say: "Indeed, we are with you, we are only mocking."

ٱللَّهُ يَسۡتَهۡزِئُ بِهِمۡ وَيَمُدُّهُمۡ فِي طُغۡيَٰنِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ
15. It is Allāh who mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression, wandering blindly.

2
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشۡتَرَوُاْ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةَ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَمَا رَبِحَت تِّجَٰرَتُهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهۡتَدِينَ
16.They are the ones who have purchased error in exchange for guidance, so their trade brought no profit, nor were they guided.
