2. He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and He has not taken a son3, and has no partner in (governing) the Kingdom. And He has created everything, so He has determined it an (exact) determination.
3. The Prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him said: Allāh Almighty has said: The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so. And he reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not remake me (i.e., bring me back to life after death) after He made me at first - and the initial creation [of him] is no easier for Me than remaking him. As for his reviling Me, it is his saying: Allāh has taken to Himself a son, while I am the One, the Everlasting Refuge. I begot not nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.
3. Yet they have taken besides Him gods who create nothing, while they are themselves created, and who possess not for themselves any harm or benefit, and possess not (power to cause) death or life or resurrection.
4. Those who disbelieve (in the Truth) say: "This 'Qur’an' is not but a lie which he (Muhammad) has invented, and other people have helped him to it." So they have already brought up an injustice and falsehood.
7. And they say: "What is the matter with this messenger that he eats food and goes about in the markets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him?
8. Or (why is not) a treasure is cast down to him (from heaven), or that he has a garden from which he eats?" The unjust say: "You do not follow any but a man bewitched."
10. Blessed is He (Allāh) Who - if he willed - could have made for you 'O Prophet' what is better than that, gardens under which rivers flow, and He will give you palaces.
16. They will have therein whatever they desire, abiding forever. It is ever upon your Lord a promise (worthy to be) asked (by His righteous servants).
17. And on the Day when He (Allāh) will gather them, and what they worship besides Allāh, so He will say: "Was it you who led astray My slaves (of mankind) these, or did they themselves go astray from the Path (of Islam)?"
18. They will say: Glory be to You (O Allāh). It was not beseeming for us to take besides You of any protectors (lords, saviors) other than You6. But you let them and their forefathers enjoy (the pleasures of the worldly life) until they forgot the Remembrance7, and they became a people ruined ".
6. So they had no right to take us as such and make us objects of their worship.
7. Mohammad, God's messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever dies worshipping other gods besides Allāh will enter Hell.”
19. So they deny you (O disbelievers) in what you say8, so you cannot avert (it, the torment) or find help. And Whoever among you commits iniquity9, We shall taste him a grievous torment.
8. i.e., the false gods will deny their worshipers on the Day of Judgment.
9. Ascribes partners to Allāh and die as such.
20. We have not sent before you (O Muhammad) of the messengers but that they surely ate food and went about in the markets. We have made some of you a trial for others. Will you have patience? And your Lord (Allāh) is Ever All-Seeing.
21. And those who do not expect to meet Us, said: "Why have not angels been sent down upon us, or 'why' do we not see (Allāh) our Lord?" They are really too arrogant within themselves and have rebelled a great rebellion.
22. On the Day they see the angels10, there will be no good news on that Day for the guilty, and they will say: "Absolutely forbidden for youl11."
10. I.e., at the time of death.
11. None will be allowed to enter Paradise except the one who says: "laa ilaaha illal Laah," (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).
31. Thus We have made for every prophet an enemy from among the guilty. Yet enough is your Lord (Allāh) as a guide and helper13.
13. The Prophet Muhammad when he was rejected and persecuted by the deniers, he prayed to His Lord, Allāh, saying: "To You, my Lord, I complain of my weakness,
lack of support and the humiliation I am made to receive. Most Compassionate and Merciful God, Allāh. You are the Lord of the weak, and you are my Lord. To whom do You leave me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy You have given power over me? As long as you are not displeased with me, I do not care what I face. I would, however, be much happier with Your mercy. I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which all darkness is dispelled and both this life and the life to come are put in their right course against incurring your wrath or being the subject of your anger. To You I submit (O Allah), until I earn Your pleasure. Everything is powerless without your support".
32. And those who disbelieve (in the Truth) said: "Why has not the Qur’an been sent down to him all at once? Thus (it is revealed), that We may strengthen your heart by it. And We have recited (spaced) it (with distinct) recitation (in stages)14."
14. It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in 23 years.
37. And the people of Noah, when they denied the messengers, We drowned them and made them for the people a Sign (and lesson). And We have prepared for the workers of iniquity a painful torment.
40. And they have already come upon the town (of Sodom) which had been rained the evil rain (of stones). Have they not then seen its ruins? Rather, they did not hope for a resurrection.
42. Indeed, he would have almost misled us from our gods if not that we had adhered to them patiently. And they will soon know, when they see the torment, who is most astray from the right Path.
45. Have you not considered how your Lord (Allāh) extends the shadow? If He had willed He would have made it still; then We have made the sun its guide.
50. And indeed, We have diversified it (the water) among them, so that they remember (the Grace of Allāh), but most of the people refuse except to be ingrate.
53. It is He (Allāh) who has merged the two seas, this is palatable and sweet, and this is salty and bitter, and He set between them a barrier and inviolable obstruction.
54. And it is He Who has created from water a mortal, then He has made him relations by blood and in-laws by marriage. For your Lord (Allāh) is ever Competent.
55. Yet they worship besides Allāh that which neither benefits them nor causes them harm. The denier is ever a helper (of Satan) against his Lord (Allāh).
56. We have not sent you (Muhammad) except as a giver of good news and as a warner19.
19. Muhammad, God's messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No one has a greater sense of honor than Allāh. No one loves to allow excuses more than Allāh. For this reason, He sent the Messengers to give glad tidings and warnings. No one loves to be praised more than Allāh on account of what Allāh has promised of Paradise.”
57. Say (O Muhammad): "I do not ask you any payment in return for this Message but that he who wills, may take a (straight) Path to his Lord 'Allāh'20."
20. One of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad said: "We were with the prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – on a journey when we were approached by a Bedouin.
When the prophet saw him he said to him, ‘To where are you heading?’ The Bedouin said, ‘To my family.’ The prophet asked, ‘Do you wish to have a good thing?’ The Bedouin asked, ‘What would that be?’ The prophet replied, ‘To bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, who has no partners and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.’
The Bedouin asked, ‘And who will testify to what you say?’ The prophet answered, ‘This palm tree will.’ So the prophet called to the tree that was in a valley by the seashore and it came to him, crawling on the ground until it stood up right between his hands. So the prophet made the tree say the testimony of faith that there is no true god but Allāh alone and that Muhammad is His messenger three times and then it returned to where it was planted before.
The Bedouin then returned to his people and said, ‘If they follow me I will bring them (to Muhammad) otherwise I will return to him myself."
58. And trust in (Allāh alone) the Ever-Living, Who dies not, and glorify with His Praise. And sufficient is He as regarding the sins of His slaves, All-Aware.
59. (He is the one) Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then rose over the Throne. (He is) the Most Compassionate, so ask (as He is) All-Aware thereby.
60. Yet, when they are told: "Prostrate to the Most Compassionate (Allāh)." They say: "And What is the Most Compassionate? Shall we prostrate to that which you command us?" And it increases them in aversion.
63. And the 'true' servants of the Most Compassionate 'Allāh' are those who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the foolish address them 'improperly', they say: 'Words of' peace21.
21. I.e., address them with mild words of gentleness, avoiding improper words and harshness.
Muhammad, God's Messenger ﷺ said, "Allāh loves one who is righteous, independent, obscure". It is he who have a strong faith in Allāh and do good deeds out of love for Him and abstain from sins, who do not ask from others, rather work hard to earn for his livelihood, who is obscure and unnoticed and do not seek fame or recognition but rather do good deeds out of pure intentions without expecting anything in return, and who demonstrate humility, selflessness, and faithfulness towards Allāh.
68. And those who never invoke any other god besides Allāh, nor kill a life which Allāh has made sacred, except with 'legal' right, nor commit adultery. Whoever does (any of this) shall face the penalty of sins.
70. Except those who repent, believe, and do rightous deeds. These - Allāh will change their evil deeds into good ones. For Allāh is ever All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
75. Those will be rewarded with the champer (in Paradise) for their patience (and perseverance), and they will be received therein with greetings and 'words of' peace.
77. Say (O Prophet): "What would My Lord (Allāh) care for you were it not for your prayer23." But now you have already denied (the Truth)24, so soon it will be the inevitable (punishment)25.
23. i.e., your faith, and worshiping Him alone, the genuine purpose for He created you.
24. The Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad.
25 i.e., the recompense for your denial in the Hereafter life, in addition to what will befall you in this world.
