1 : 25

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِي نَزَّلَ ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا

1. Blessed is He (Allāh) Who sent down the Criterion [1] to His servant [2] that he may be a warner to the worlds (mankind and Jinn), info

[1]. I.e., this Qur’an, the Standard by which we judge right from wrong.
[2]. I.e., the Prophet Muhammad.

2 : 25

ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَمۡ يَتَّخِذۡ وَلَدٗا وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٞ فِي ٱلۡمُلۡكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيۡءٖ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقۡدِيرٗا

2. He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and He has not taken a son [3], and has no partner in (governing) the Kingdom. And He has created everything, so He has determined it an (exact) determination. info

[3]. The Prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him said: Allāh Almighty has said: The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so. And he reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not remake me (i.e., bring me back to life after death) after He made me at first - and the initial creation [of him] is no easier for Me than remaking him. As for his reviling Me, it is his saying: Allāh has taken to Himself a son, while I am the One, the Everlasting Refuge. I begot not nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.

3 : 25

وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةٗ لَّا يَخۡلُقُونَ شَيۡـٔٗا وَهُمۡ يُخۡلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗا وَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مَوۡتٗا وَلَا حَيَوٰةٗ وَلَا نُشُورٗا

3. Yet they have taken besides Him gods who create nothing, while they are themselves created, and who possess not for themselves any harm or benefit, and possess not (power to cause) death or life or resurrection. info

4 : 25

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفۡكٌ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُ وَأَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِ قَوۡمٌ ءَاخَرُونَۖ فَقَدۡ جَآءُو ظُلۡمٗا وَزُورٗا

4. Those who disbelieve (in the Truth) say: "This 'Qur’an' is not but a lie which he (Muhammad) has invented, and other people have helped him to it." So they have already brought up an injustice and falsehood. info

5 : 25

وَقَالُوٓاْ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ٱكۡتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ بُكۡرَةٗ وَأَصِيلٗا

5. And they have said: "(It is) legends of the former people, which he has had written down, so they are dictated to him morning and evening." info

6 : 25

قُلۡ أَنزَلَهُ ٱلَّذِي يَعۡلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمٗا

6. Say: "It has been sent down by (Allāh) Who knows the secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." info

7 : 25

وَقَالُواْ مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلرَّسُولِ يَأۡكُلُ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمۡشِي فِي ٱلۡأَسۡوَاقِ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِ مَلَكٞ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُۥ نَذِيرًا

7. And they say: "What is the matter with this messenger that he eats food and goes about in the markets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him? info

8 : 25

أَوۡ يُلۡقَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِ كَنزٌ أَوۡ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٞ يَأۡكُلُ مِنۡهَاۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلٗا مَّسۡحُورًا

8. Or (why is not) a treasure is cast down to him (from heaven), or that he has a garden from which he eats?" The unjust say: "You do not follow any but a man bewitched." info

9 : 25

ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ ضَرَبُواْ لَكَ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَ فَضَلُّواْ فَلَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلٗا

9. Look how they set forth the similitudes for you (Muhammad) [4]; so they have gone astray; so they are unable to find a way (to the Truth). info

[4]. Such as a sorcerer, a poet, a liar, or a bewitched one.

10 : 25

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِيٓ إِن شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيۡرٗا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكَ قُصُورَۢا

10. Blessed is He (Allāh) Who - if he willed - could have made for you 'O Prophet' what is better than that, gardens under which rivers flow, and He will give you palaces. info

11 : 25

بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلسَّاعَةِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا

11. Rather, they deny the Hour 'of Doom', and We have prepared a burning Fire for him who denies the Hour. info

12 : 25

إِذَا رَأَتۡهُم مِّن مَّكَانِۭ بَعِيدٖ سَمِعُواْ لَهَا تَغَيُّظٗا وَزَفِيرٗا

12. When it (the Hellfire) sees them [5] from a distant place, they will hear its raging and roaring. info

[5]. the pagans, idolaters, atheists, disbelievers, hypocrites, etc.

13 : 25

وَإِذَآ أُلۡقُواْ مِنۡهَا مَكَانٗا ضَيِّقٗا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوۡاْ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورٗا

13. And when they are thrown thereof (in) a narrow place inside (Hell), chained together, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. info

14 : 25

لَّا تَدۡعُواْ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ ثُبُورٗا وَٰحِدٗا وَٱدۡعُواْ ثُبُورٗا كَثِيرٗا

14. Do not call out this Day for one destruction, but call for many destructions. info

15 : 25

قُلۡ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ جَنَّةُ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ ٱلَّتِي وُعِدَ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۚ كَانَتۡ لَهُمۡ جَزَآءٗ وَمَصِيرٗا

15. Say (Muhammad): "Is that better or the abiding garden which the righteous are promised?" For them it has always been a reward and a destination. info

16 : 25

لَّهُمۡ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَٰلِدِينَۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعۡدٗا مَّسۡـُٔولٗا

16. They will have therein whatever they desire, abiding forever. It is ever upon your Lord a promise (worthy to be) asked (by His righteous servants). info

17 : 25

وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمۡ أَضۡلَلۡتُمۡ عِبَادِي هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمۡ هُمۡ ضَلُّواْ ٱلسَّبِيلَ

17. And on the Day when He (Allāh) will gather them, and what they worship besides Allāh, so He will say: "Was it you who led astray My slaves (of mankind) these, or did they themselves go astray from the Path (of Islam)?" info

18 : 25

قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِي لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِن مَّتَّعۡتَهُمۡ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ نَسُواْ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَكَانُواْ قَوۡمَۢا بُورٗا

18. They will say: Glory be to You (O Allāh). It was not beseeming for us to take besides You of any protectors (lords, saviors) other than You [6]. But you let them and their forefathers enjoy (the pleasures of the worldly life) until they forgot the Remembrance [7], and they became a people ruined ". info

[6]. So they had no right to take us as such and make us objects of their worship.
[7]. Mohammad, God's messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever dies worshipping other gods besides Allāh will enter Hell.”

19 : 25

فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسۡتَطِيعُونَ صَرۡفٗا وَلَا نَصۡرٗاۚ وَمَن يَظۡلِم مِّنكُمۡ نُذِقۡهُ عَذَابٗا كَبِيرٗا

19. So they deny you (O disbelievers) in what you say [8], so you cannot avert (it, the torment) or find help. And Whoever among you commits iniquity [9], We shall taste him a grievous torment. info

[8]. i.e., the false gods will deny their worshipers on the Day of Judgment.
[9]. Ascribes partners to Allāh and die as such.

20 : 25

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمۡ لَيَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمۡشُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَسۡوَاقِۗ وَجَعَلۡنَا بَعۡضَكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٖ فِتۡنَةً أَتَصۡبِرُونَۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرٗا

20. We have not sent before you (O Muhammad) of the messengers but that they surely ate food and went about in the markets. We have made some of you a trial for others. Will you have patience? And your Lord (Allāh) is Ever All-Seeing. info

21 : 25

۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡنَا ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوۡ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَاۗ لَقَدِ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ فِيٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ وَعَتَوۡ عُتُوّٗا كَبِيرٗا

21. And those who do not expect to meet Us, said: "Why have not angels been sent down upon us, or 'why' do we not see (Allāh) our Lord?" They are really too arrogant within themselves and have rebelled a great rebellion. info

22 : 25

يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشۡرَىٰ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجۡرٗا مَّحۡجُورٗا

22. On the Day they see the angels [10], there will be no good news on that Day for the guilty, and they will say: "Absolutely forbidden for youl [11]." info

[10]. I.e., at the time of death.
[11]. None will be allowed to enter Paradise except the one who says: "laa ilaaha illal Laah," (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh).

23 : 25

وَقَدِمۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُواْ مِنۡ عَمَلٖ فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ هَبَآءٗ مَّنثُورًا

23. And We shall proceed to what they (the disbelievers) have done of any (good) deed, and make them as scattered dust [12]. info

[12]. As it lacked all sincerity and belief in the Oneness of God - Islamic Monotheism.

24 : 25

أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَيۡرٞ مُّسۡتَقَرّٗا وَأَحۡسَنُ مَقِيلٗا

24. The occupants of Paradise on that Day will be in better settlement and better resting-place. info

25 : 25

وَيَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلۡغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا

25. And the Day when the sky will split open with (emerging) clouds, and the angels will be sent down, a successive descending. info

26 : 25

ٱلۡمُلۡكُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡحَقُّ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ وَكَانَ يَوۡمًا عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرٗا

26. The Kingdom on that Day will rightly belong to (Allāh alone) the Most Compassionate, and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers. info

27 : 25

وَيَوۡمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيۡهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي ٱتَّخَذۡتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلٗا

27. And (beware of) the Day the wicked will bite his hands (in regret), saying: "Oh, Would that I had taken a way along with the messenger (Muhammad). info

28 : 25

يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰ لَيۡتَنِي لَمۡ أَتَّخِذۡ فُلَانًا خَلِيلٗا

28. Oh, woe to me! Would that I had not taken so- and-so as a friend. info

29 : 25

لَّقَدۡ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ ٱلذِّكۡرِ بَعۡدَ إِذۡ جَآءَنِيۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ خَذُولٗا

29. Indeed, he led me astray from the Reminder (this Qur’an) after it had come to me; for Satan is ever a deserter to man (in the Hour of need). info

30 : 25

وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوۡمِي ٱتَّخَذُواْ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ مَهۡجُورٗا

30. And the messenger [13] will say: "Lord, (some of) my people have abandoned this Qur’an. info

[13]. i.e., the Prophet Muhammad

31 : 25

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوّٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيٗا وَنَصِيرٗا

31. Thus We have made for every prophet an enemy from among the guilty. Yet enough is your Lord (Allāh) as a guide and helper [14]. info

[14]. The Prophet Muhammad when he was rejected and persecuted by the deniers, he prayed to His Lord, Allāh, saying: "To You, my Lord, I complain of my weakness,
lack of support and the humiliation I am made to receive. Most Compassionate and Merciful God, Allāh. You are the Lord of the weak, and you are my Lord. To whom do You leave me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy You have given power over me? As long as you are not displeased with me, I do not care what I face. I would, however, be much happier with Your mercy. I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which all darkness is dispelled and both this life and the life to come are put in their right course against incurring your wrath or being the subject of your anger. To You I submit (O Allah), until I earn Your pleasure. Everything is powerless without your support".

32 : 25

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ جُمۡلَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَۖ وَرَتَّلۡنَٰهُ تَرۡتِيلٗا

32. And those who disbelieve (in the Truth) said: "Why has not the Qur’an been sent down to him all at once? Thus (it is revealed), that We may strengthen your heart by it. And We have recited (spaced) it (with distinct) recitation (in stages) [15]." info

[15]. It was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in 23 years.

33 : 25

وَلَا يَأۡتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَحۡسَنَ تَفۡسِيرًا

33. And they do not come to you (Muhammad) with any similitude [16], except that We bring you the Truth and the best explanation. info

[16]. To oppose or to find fault in you or in this Qur’ân.

34 : 25

ٱلَّذِينَ يُحۡشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ شَرّٞ مَّكَانٗا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلٗا

34. As for those who will be gathered on their faces into Gehinnom (Hell) they are worst in position and most astray in their 'way'. info

35 : 25

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلۡنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ وَزِيرٗا

35. And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as a helper. info

36 : 25

فَقُلۡنَا ٱذۡهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرۡنَٰهُمۡ تَدۡمِيرٗا

36. We said: "Go you both to the people who rejected Our signs." Then We destroyed them with utter destruction. info

37 : 25

وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُواْ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةٗۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا

37. And the people of Noah, when they denied the messengers, We drowned them and made them for the people a Sign (and lesson). And We have prepared for the workers of iniquity a painful torment. info

38 : 25

وَعَادٗا وَثَمُودَاْ وَأَصۡحَٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونَۢا بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرٗا

38. And (We destroyed the people of) ‘Aad, Thamud, the dwellers of the Rass and many generations in between. info

39 : 25

وَكُلّٗا ضَرَبۡنَا لَهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلَۖ وَكُلّٗا تَبَّرۡنَا تَتۡبِيرٗا

39. And each We set forth for it examples (from the previous nations), and each We destroyed with (total) destruction. info

40 : 25

وَلَقَدۡ أَتَوۡاْ عَلَى ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلَّتِيٓ أُمۡطِرَتۡ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوۡءِۚ أَفَلَمۡ يَكُونُواْ يَرَوۡنَهَاۚ بَلۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ نُشُورٗا

40. And they have already come upon the town (of Sodom) which had been rained the evil rain (of stones). Have they not then seen its ruins? Rather, they did not hope for a resurrection. info

41 : 25

وَإِذَا رَأَوۡكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا

41. When they see you (Muhammad), they not take you except in mockery (saying):"Is this the one that Allāh has sent as a messenger?" info

42 : 25

إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوۡلَآ أَن صَبَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهَاۚ وَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوۡنَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ مَنۡ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

42. Indeed, he would have almost misled us from our gods if not that we had adhered to them patiently. And they will soon know, when they see the torment, who is most astray from the right Path. info

43 : 25

أَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًا

43. Have you seen him who takes his own desires as his god? Would you then be a disposer of affairs over him? info

44 : 25

أَمۡ تَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ يَسۡمَعُونَ أَوۡ يَعۡقِلُونَۚ إِنۡ هُمۡ إِلَّا كَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ بَلۡ هُمۡ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

44. Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? [17] They are but like cattle [18] rather, they are even more astray in 'their' way. info

[17]. They only follow others blindly.
[18]. Sheep, that follow without question wherever they are led.

45 : 25

أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيۡفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنٗا ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَا ٱلشَّمۡسَ عَلَيۡهِ دَلِيلٗا

45. Have you not considered how your Lord (Allāh) extends the shadow? If He had willed He would have made it still; then We have made the sun its guide. info

46 : 25

ثُمَّ قَبَضۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡنَا قَبۡضٗا يَسِيرٗا

46. Then We retract it to Us, a simple (gradual) retraction. info

47 : 25

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسٗا وَٱلنَّوۡمَ سُبَاتٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورٗا

47. It is He (Allāh) Who made the night as a cover for you [19], and sleep for rest, and He made the day to rise up again (seeking one’s livelihood). info

[19]. Covering and concealing you in its darkness and providing rest.

48 : 25

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَرۡسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ طَهُورٗا

48. It is He (Allāh) Who sends the winds as glad tidings before His mercy (of the rain). And We send down pure water from the sky, info

49 : 25

لِّنُحۡـِۧيَ بِهِۦ بَلۡدَةٗ مَّيۡتٗا وَنُسۡقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقۡنَآ أَنۡعَٰمٗا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرٗا

49. That We may revive therewith a dead land and give it as drink to what We have created, cattle and many people. info

50 : 25

وَلَقَدۡ صَرَّفۡنَٰهُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ لِيَذَّكَّرُواْ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكۡثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورٗا

50. And indeed, We have diversified it (the water) among them, so that they remember (the Grace of Allāh), but most of the people refuse except to be ingrate. info

51 : 25

وَلَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَبَعَثۡنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرۡيَةٖ نَّذِيرٗا

51. And if We had willed, We could have sent into every town a warner. info

52 : 25

فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ وَجَٰهِدۡهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادٗا كَبِيرٗا

52. So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive hard against them, by means of this (Qur’an) with the utmost striving. info

53 : 25

۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ هَٰذَا عَذۡبٞ فُرَاتٞ وَهَٰذَا مِلۡحٌ أُجَاجٞ وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٗا وَحِجۡرٗا مَّحۡجُورٗا

53. It is He (Allāh) who has merged the two seas, this is palatable and sweet, and this is salty and bitter, and He set between them a barrier and inviolable obstruction. info

54 : 25

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَآءِ بَشَرٗا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبٗا وَصِهۡرٗاۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرٗا

54. And it is He Who has created from water a mortal, then He has made him relations by blood and in-laws by marriage. For your Lord (Allāh) is ever Competent. info

55 : 25

وَيَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمۡ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمۡۗ وَكَانَ ٱلۡكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرٗا

55. Yet they worship besides Allāh that which neither benefits them nor causes them harm. The denier is ever a helper (of Satan) against his Lord (Allāh). info

56 : 25

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرٗا وَنَذِيرٗا

56. We have not sent you (Muhammad) except as a giver of good news and as a warner [20]. info

[20]. Muhammad, God's messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No one has a greater sense of honor than Allāh. No one loves to allow excuses more than Allāh. For this reason, He sent the Messengers to give glad tidings and warnings. No one loves to be praised more than Allāh on account of what Allāh has promised of Paradise.”

57 : 25

قُلۡ مَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلٗا

57. Say (O Muhammad): "I do not ask you any payment in return for this Message but that he who wills, may take a (straight) Path to his Lord 'Allāh' [21]." info

[21]. One of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad said: "We were with the prophet – may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – on a journey when we were approached by a Bedouin.
When the prophet saw him he said to him, ‘To where are you heading?’ The Bedouin said, ‘To my family.’ The prophet asked, ‘Do you wish to have a good thing?’ The Bedouin asked, ‘What would that be?’ The prophet replied, ‘To bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, who has no partners and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.’
The Bedouin asked, ‘And who will testify to what you say?’ The prophet answered, ‘This palm tree will.’ So the prophet called to the tree that was in a valley by the seashore and it came to him, crawling on the ground until it stood up right between his hands. So the prophet made the tree say the testimony of faith that there is no true god but Allāh alone and that Muhammad is His messenger three times and then it returned to where it was planted before.
The Bedouin then returned to his people and said, ‘If they follow me I will bring them (to Muhammad) otherwise I will return to him myself."

58 : 25

وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِهِۦۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا

58. And trust in (Allāh alone) the Ever-Living, Who dies not, and glorify with His Praise. And sufficient is He as regarding the sins of His slaves, All-Aware. info

59 : 25

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ فَسۡـَٔلۡ بِهِۦ خَبِيرٗا

59. (He is the one) Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then rose over the Throne. (He is) the Most Compassionate, so ask (as He is) All-Aware thereby. info

60 : 25

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسۡجُدُواْۤ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ قَالُواْ وَمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ أَنَسۡجُدُ لِمَا تَأۡمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمۡ نُفُورٗا۩

60. Yet, when they are told: "Prostrate to the Most Compassionate (Allāh)." They say: "And What is the Most Compassionate? Shall we prostrate to that which you command us?" And it increases them in aversion. info

61 : 25

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجٗا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجٗا وَقَمَرٗا مُّنِيرٗا

61. Blessed is He 'Allāh' Who has placed in the sky great constellations and placed therein a (radiant) lamp (sun) and an illuminated moon. info

62 : 25

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلۡفَةٗ لِّمَنۡ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوۡ أَرَادَ شُكُورٗا

62. It is He Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who wants to take heed and wants to show gratitude. info

63 : 25

وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمۡشُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ هَوۡنٗا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلۡجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا

63. And the 'true' servants of the Most Compassionate 'Allāh' are those who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the foolish address them 'improperly', they say: 'Words of' peace [22]. info

[22]. I.e., address them with mild words of gentleness, avoiding improper words and harshness.
Muhammad, God's Messenger ﷺ said, "Allāh loves one who is righteous, independent, obscure". It is he who have a strong faith in Allāh and do good deeds out of love for Him and abstain from sins, who do not ask from others, rather work hard to earn for his livelihood, who is obscure and unnoticed and do not seek fame or recognition but rather do good deeds out of pure intentions without expecting anything in return, and who demonstrate humility, selflessness, and faithfulness towards Allāh.

64 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمۡ سُجَّدٗا وَقِيَٰمٗا

64. They are those who spend (a portion of) the night prostrating themselves before their Lord (Allāh) and standing (in prayer) [23]. info

[23]. The Prophet Muhammad said: "The best of you are those who, when they are seen, Allāh God the Mighty, the Majestic is remembered."

65 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصۡرِفۡ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا

65. Those who pray: "Our Lord, turn us away from the torment of Gehinnom (Hell), for its torment is indeed ever adhering. info

66 : 25

إِنَّهَا سَآءَتۡ مُسۡتَقَرّٗا وَمُقَامٗا

66. Indeed, It is an evil place to settle and an evil abode. info

67 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُواْ لَمۡ يُسۡرِفُواْ وَلَمۡ يَقۡتُرُواْ وَكَانَ بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامٗا

67. And those who, when they spend, are neither wasteful nor niggardly, but are moderate between these (two extremes). info

68 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدۡعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفۡسَ ٱلَّتِي حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا يَزۡنُونَۚ وَمَن يَفۡعَلۡ ذَٰلِكَ يَلۡقَ أَثَامٗا

68. And those who never invoke any other god besides Allāh, nor kill a life which Allāh has made sacred, except with 'legal' right, nor commit adultery. Whoever does (any of this) shall face the penalty of sins. info

69 : 25

يُضَٰعَفۡ لَهُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخۡلُدۡ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا

69. The torment will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein forever in abasement; info

70 : 25

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ حَسَنَٰتٖۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمٗا

70. Except those who repent, believe, and do rightous deeds. These - Allāh will change their evil deeds into good ones. For Allāh is ever All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. info

71 : 25

وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابٗا

71. Whoever repents and acts righteously, then indeed he returns to Allāh with repentance. info

72 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشۡهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِٱللَّغۡوِ مَرُّواْ كِرَامٗا

72. And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by what is vain, they pass by with dignity. info

73 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ لَمۡ يَخِرُّواْ عَلَيۡهَا صُمّٗا وَعُمۡيَانٗا

73. And those who, when reminded of the Verses of their Lord 'Allāh', do not fall upon them deaf and blind. info

74 : 25

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٖ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

74. And Those who pray: "Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us exemplary for the righteous." info

75 : 25

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يُجۡزَوۡنَ ٱلۡغُرۡفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْ وَيُلَقَّوۡنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةٗ وَسَلَٰمًا

75. Those will be rewarded with the champer (in Paradise) for their patience (and perseverance), and they will be received therein with greetings and 'words of' peace. info

76 : 25

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ حَسُنَتۡ مُسۡتَقَرّٗا وَمُقَامٗا

76. Abiding therein forever. What an excellent place to settle and reside! info

77 : 25

قُلۡ مَا يَعۡبَؤُاْ بِكُمۡ رَبِّي لَوۡلَا دُعَآؤُكُمۡۖ فَقَدۡ كَذَّبۡتُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامَۢا

77. Say (O Prophet): "What would My Lord (Allāh) care for you were it not for your prayer [24]." But now you have already denied (the Truth) [25], so soon it will be the inevitable (punishment) [26]. info

[24]. i.e., your faith, and worshiping Him alone, the genuine purpose for He created you.
[25]. The Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad.
[26] i.e., the recompense for your denial in the Hereafter life, in addition to what will befall you in this world.

التفاسير:
