ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߖߊ߲߬ߖߏ߲ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊ - ߊ߳ߺߊߓߑߘߎ߫ ߊ.ߟߟߊ߯ߤߌ߫ ߤ߭ߛߊߣߎ߲߫ ߦߊ߰ߞߎߓߊ߫ - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

An-Naba’

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 1

عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

1. What are they (the pagans) asking one another?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 2

عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

2. About the momentous News1?

1. The Day of Resurrection and the Qur'an.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 3

ٱلَّذِي هُمۡ فِيهِ مُخۡتَلِفُونَ

3. over which they are in disagreement?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 4

كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ

4. No! They are going to know,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 5

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ

5. Then, no! They are going to know.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 6

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَٰدٗا

6. Have We not made the earth as a cradle?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 7

وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادٗا

7. And the mountains as pegs?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 8

وَخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا

8. And We created you in pairs,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 9

وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتٗا

9. And We made your sleep for rest,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 10

وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسٗا

10. And We made the night as a covering,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 11

وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشٗا

11. And We made the day for livelihood.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 12

وَبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعٗا شِدَادٗا

12. And We constructed above you seven strong (heavens, one above the other),

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 13

وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجٗا وَهَّاجٗا

13. And We made (the sun) a glowing lamp,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 14

وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ مَآءٗ ثَجَّاجٗا

14. And We sent down from the rainclouds water pouring forth abundantly -

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 15

لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبّٗا وَنَبَاتٗا

15. That We may bring out thereby grain and vegetation,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 16

وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًا

16. And dense orchards?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 17

إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتٗا

17. Indeed, the Day of Decision has been appointed time -

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 18

يَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأۡتُونَ أَفۡوَاجٗا

18. The Day the trumpet is blown2, then you will come forth in multitudes,

2. For the second time, causing all to rise from the dead for resurrection.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 19

وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبٗا

19. and the heaven will be opened up and will become gateways,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 20

وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا

20. and the mountains will be set in motion, so it becomes a mirage.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 21

إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادٗا

21. Indeed, Gehinnom 'Hell' has been lying in wait,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 22

لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابٗا

22. A resort for the transgressors.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 23

لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحۡقَابٗا

23. They will abide therein for ages.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 24

لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرۡدٗا وَلَا شَرَابًا

24. They will neither taste therein any coolness nor any drink,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 25

إِلَّا حَمِيمٗا وَغَسَّاقٗا

25. Except scalding water and [foul] purulence,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 26

جَزَآءٗ وِفَاقًا

26. A recompense proportional (for their deeds).

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 27

إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ حِسَابٗا

27. Indeed, they used not expecting a Reckoning,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 28

وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابٗا

28. And denied Our verses (of the Qur'an) a complete denial.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 29

وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ كِتَٰبٗا

29. And everything (of what they did) We have enumerated in writing.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 30

فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا

30. So taste (the results of your evil actions), for We shall never increase you (O deniers) except in torment.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 31

إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا

31. Indeed, for the righteous is attainment3,

3. I.e., safety from Hell and an entry to Paradise.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 32

حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعۡنَٰبٗا

32. orchards and grapevines,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 33

وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتۡرَابٗا

33. And full-breasted maidens of equal age,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 34

وَكَأۡسٗا دِهَاقٗا

34. And a cup full (of pure wine).

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 35

لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوٗا وَلَا كِذَّٰبٗا

35. They will not hear therein (in the Paradise) any vain words nor lying -

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 36

جَزَآءٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابٗا

36.   A Reward from your Lord, a Gift, (amply sufficient by) calculation.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 37

رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۖ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابٗا

37. Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Most Compassionate (Allāh). They possess not from Him [authority to] address Him.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 38

يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفّٗاۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابٗا

38. On the Day the (holy) spirit (i.e., Gabriel) and the angels will stand in rows; they will not speak (before Him) except he whom 'Allāh' the Most Compassionate permits, and who speaks right.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 39

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا

39. That is the True Day! So whoever wills, may take now a way back to his Lord 'Allāh'4.

4. By obeying Him in this world.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 40

إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابٗا قَرِيبٗا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢا

40. Surely, We have warned you of a near torment - the Day when man will see what (good or evil deeds) his two hands have done, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me, would that I were mere dust!"
