Al-‘Alaq

อายะฮ์: 1

ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ

1. Recite in the Name of (Allah) your Lord, Who created,

อายะฮ์: 2

خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ

2. Created man from a clot of blood.

อายะฮ์: 3

ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ

3. Read, and your Lord (Allah) is the Most Honorable,

อายะฮ์: 4

ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ

4. Who taught (people to write) with the pen,

อายะฮ์: 5

عَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ

5. Taught man what he knew not.

อายะฮ์: 6

كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطۡغَىٰٓ

6. Indeed, man (the denier) transgresses (in denial and sins),

อายะฮ์: 7

أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ

7. When he sees himself sufficed (in terms of wealth, honor, and rank).

อายะฮ์: 8

إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ

8. To (Allah) your Lord is the (final) Return (of all).

อายะฮ์: 9

أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يَنۡهَىٰ

9. Have you seen him (the unbeliever) who forbids,

อายะฮ์: 10

عَبۡدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ

10. A servant (of God) when he prays?

อายะฮ์: 11

أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ

11. Have you considered if he is on the right guidance (from God)?

อายะฮ์: 12

أَوۡ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓ

12. Or enjoins piety?

อายะฮ์: 13

أَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ

13. Have you considered if he (the unbeliever) rejects the Truth and turns away from it?

อายะฮ์: 14

أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ

14. Does he not know that Allah sees (what he does)?

อายะฮ์: 15

كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ

15. No indeed, if he does not desist, We will certainly smite his forehead,

อายะฮ์: 16

نَاصِيَةٖ كَٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٖ

16. A lying, sinful forehead.

อายะฮ์: 17

فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥ

17. Then let him summon his council,

อายะฮ์: 18

سَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ

18. We too would summon the guards of Hell¹.

1. I.e., the grim stern angels of Hell to destroy him.

อายะฮ์: 19

كَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡۤ وَٱقۡتَرِب۩

19. No, do not obey him. But fall prostrate and draw near (to Allah).
