سورة آل عمران - Āl-‘Imrān
الٓمٓ
1. The Qur’an is made up of such letters from the Arabic alphabet. The Arabs at the time of revelation were the unrivalled masters of the Arabic language and yet when challenged were totally unable to bring anything like the Qur’an. Despite this fact, the inimitable nature of the Qur’an and its divine source, God knows best the meaning of these disjointed Arabic letters.
التفاسير العربية:
نَزَّلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ مُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
3. He has sent down to you (Muhammad) the Book (Qur’an) in truth, confirming that which is before it (of Divine Scriptures), and He has sent the Torah and the Evangel2.
2. Injīl (Evangel; Gospel) is the Arabic name for the Scripture that was given to Jesus.-Injīl, in Islam, is not to be identified with the extant biblical ‘New Testament’; rather it is believed, as told in the Qur’an, to have been revealed to Prophet Jesus, son of Mary, as a whole. It is also believed to have either been lost or corrupted. The same goes for the Torah, to a great extent. Not all the words in the todays Bible are God’s words. But there are some words of the bible are God's which is confirmed by the Qur’an. Any one who says that the words of the bible are all the words of God is blaspheming God. The Qur'an is unique in being the only Book that is free of inaccuracies, whose text has been so carefully preserved and are all God's Words.
التفاسير العربية:
مِن قَبۡلُ هُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَۗ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٞۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٞ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ
4. Before, as a guidance for the people, and He sent down the Criteria (of discerning right from wrong - the Qur’an). Those who deny the Verses of Allah will have the most severe torment. Allah is All-Mighty, the Lord of Retribution.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَخۡفَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ شَيۡءٞ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ

هُوَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِنۡهُ ءَايَٰتٞ مُّحۡكَمَٰتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٞۖ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡ زَيۡغٞ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَٰبَهَ مِنۡهُ ٱبۡتِغَآءَ ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ وَٱبۡتِغَآءَ تَأۡوِيلِهِۦۖ وَمَا يَعۡلَمُ تَأۡوِيلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۗ وَٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ فِي ٱلۡعِلۡمِ يَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ كُلّٞ مِّنۡ عِندِ رَبِّنَاۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
7. It is He Who has sent down the Book (Qur’an) to you (Muhammad). Some of its Verses are entirely clear, they are the basis of the Book, and others are ambiguous. Those whose hearts are perverse, follow the unclear statements, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. No one knows its true interpretation except Allah. Those who are firm in knowledge say: "We believe in it, all its Verses are from (Allah) our Lord." But none will take heed except people of sound understanding.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغۡنِيَ عَنۡهُمۡ أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمۡ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ
10. Those who deny (the Truth) neither their wealth nor their children will help them in the least against Allah. It is they who are the fuel of the Fire.
التفاسير العربية:
كَدَأۡبِ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
11. Like the custom of the people of Pharaoh, and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. Allah is Severe in Retribution.
التفاسير العربية:
قَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ ءَايَةٞ فِي فِئَتَيۡنِ ٱلۡتَقَتَاۖ فِئَةٞ تُقَٰتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأُخۡرَىٰ كَافِرَةٞ يَرَوۡنَهُم مِّثۡلَيۡهِمۡ رَأۡيَ ٱلۡعَيۡنِۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصۡرِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ
13. Indeed, there is a Sign for you in the two armies (which) met together in the encounter (at the battle of Badr). One party fighting in the Path of Allah, and another of deniers, whom they saw twice as many as themselves with the sight of the eye, and Allah strengthens with His aid whom He wills. There is certainly a lesson in this for the people of true vision.

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلۡبَنِينَ وَٱلۡقَنَٰطِيرِ ٱلۡمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلۡفِضَّةِ وَٱلۡخَيۡلِ ٱلۡمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ وَٱلۡحَرۡثِۗ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَٰعُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسۡنُ ٱلۡمَـَٔابِ
14. Love of worldly desires of women, children, accumulated treasures of gold and silver, well bred horses, cattle, and farms, are made attractive to people. That is the pleasure of the life of this world3, but with Allah is the excellent place of return.
3. Righteousness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. Those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ قُلۡ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم بِخَيۡرٖ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمۡۖ لِلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزۡوَٰجٞ مُّطَهَّرَةٞ وَرِضۡوَٰنٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
15. Say: Shall I tell you what is better than that (worldly desires)4? For those who fear Allah and keep His commandments are gardens with their Lord (Allah) under which rivers flow, to abide therein forever with their purified wives and Pleasure from Allah. Allah is All-Seeing of (His) slaves (of mankind and Jinn).
4. It is human nature to desire such things as are alluring. But the true Faith requires resisting worldly temptations, putting them second to seeking Allah’s Pleasure, and devoting oneself to Allah.
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ وَٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ وَٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَ وَٱلۡمُنفِقِينَ وَٱلۡمُسۡتَغۡفِرِينَ بِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ
17. (They are) the patient, the truthful (in faith, word, and deed), the wholly devoted (to Allah - God), the charitably spending (who give the Zakat and alms in the Cause of Allah), and who pray and beseech God's Forgiveness in the last part of the night.

شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ قَآئِمَۢا بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
18. Allah Himself testifies that there is no God (worthy of worship) except Him; the angels and the men of knowledge testify to that too and that He is the Upholder of justice. There is no (true) deity except Him, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمُۗ وَمَا ٱخۡتَلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡعِلۡمُ بَغۡيَۢا بَيۡنَهُمۡۗ وَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
19. The (true) religion in the sight of Allah (God) is Islam5, and those (Jews and Nazarenes) to whom the Scripture had been given did not differ in the matters of religion except after knowledge had come to them, out of envy and hostility among themselves. Whoever denies the revelations of Allah, Allah is certainty swift in Reckoning.
5. The meaning of the word "Islām" is "submission to the will of God." This is the way of life ordained by God and taught by all of the prophets from Adam to Muḥammad (ﷺ). It conveys two meanings: yielding and surrender, and devoting one’s surrender to Allah (God) alone. A Muslim is one who submits and surrenders himself to God.
التفاسير العربية:
فَإِنۡ حَآجُّوكَ فَقُلۡ أَسۡلَمۡتُ وَجۡهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَنِۗ وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ ءَأَسۡلَمۡتُمۡۚ فَإِنۡ أَسۡلَمُواْ فَقَدِ ٱهۡتَدَواْۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡبَلَٰغُۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
20. If they dispute with you (Muhammad) say: "I have submitted myself entirely to Allah and (so have) all who follow me." Say to those who have been given the Scripture and the unlearned (i.e., the pagans): "Have you embraced Islam?" If they embrace Islam, then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your task is only to convey (the Message). Allah is All-Seeing of (His) slaves.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖ وَيَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ فَبَشِّرۡهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
21. Those who deny Allah’s revelations, kill the Prophets unjustly6, and kill those who call people to be just - give them tidings of a painful torment.
6. According to the bible, Jesus said: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee” (Matthew xxiii, 37). See also Matthew xxiii, 34-35, Luke xi, 51.

أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيبٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ يُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَىٰ كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ وَهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ
23. (Muhammad) Have you not seen those (Jews) who were given a portion of the Scripture, when called to the Book of Allah (the Qur’an) to judge between them, a part of them turn away with disregard.
التفاسير العربية:
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَالُواْ لَن تَمَسَّنَا ٱلنَّارُ إِلَّآ أَيَّامٗا مَّعۡدُودَٰتٖۖ وَغَرَّهُمۡ فِي دِينِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ
24. This is because they claim, "Never will the Fire touch us except for a few days7." What they have invented (of polytheistic beliefs) deceives them in the matter of their deeds.
7. Such as falsely saying that they will only enter Fire, as Punishment for their sins, for a few days and then they will be entered into Paradise.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ مَٰلِكَ ٱلۡمُلۡكِ تُؤۡتِي ٱلۡمُلۡكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَنزِعُ ٱلۡمُلۡكَ مِمَّن تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَآءُۖ بِيَدِكَ ٱلۡخَيۡرُۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ
26.Say, "O Allah, Owner of the Kingdom, You give authority to whomever You will, and take it away from whomever You will. You give honor to whomever You will and humiliate whomever You will. In Your Hand (alone) is the (Power to bring) benefit (or harm). You are Able to do all things.
التفاسير العربية:
تُولِجُ ٱلَّيۡلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱلَّيۡلِۖ وَتُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ وَتُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَيِّۖ وَتَرۡزُقُ مَن تَشَآءُ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٖ
27. You cause the night to enter into the day and the day to enter into the night. You cause the living to come out of the dead and the dead to come out of the living. You give sustenance to whomsoever You will, without account.
التفاسير العربية:
لَّا يَتَّخِذِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَوۡلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۖ وَمَن يَفۡعَلۡ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَيۡسَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ فِي شَيۡءٍ إِلَّآ أَن تَتَّقُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ تُقَىٰةٗۗ وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسَهُۥۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
28. The believers should not take the deniers as intimates and allies instead of the believers. Whoever does so has nothing to hope from Allah, unless you do it out of fear8. Allah warns you about Himself. To Allah is the final return.
8. Believers are given permission here to appease the deniers with their tongues, yet their hearts are to remain firm in Faith.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ إِن تُخۡفُواْ مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمۡ أَوۡ تُبۡدُوهُ يَعۡلَمۡهُ ٱللَّهُۗ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ
29. Say, "Allah knows all that you may conceal in your chests or you may reveal. He knows all that is in the heavens and the earth. Allah has full Power over all things.
التفاسير العربية:
يَوۡمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ مِنۡ خَيۡرٖ مُّحۡضَرٗا وَمَا عَمِلَتۡ مِن سُوٓءٖ تَوَدُّ لَوۡ أَنَّ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَهُۥٓ أَمَدَۢا بَعِيدٗاۗ وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ نَفۡسَهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ رَءُوفُۢ بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
30. On the Day when every soul shall find present what it has done of good, and what it has done of evil, it will wish that between it and that (evil) there was a great distance. Allah warns you about Himself. Allah is Kind to (His) slaves (of mankind and jinn).
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِي يُحۡبِبۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ذُنُوبَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
31. (Muhammad) say, "If you love Allah (God)9, follow me - Allah will love you and forgive your sins. Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Merciful.
9. If you love Allah - you are patient, loving, kind, and merciful; you don't envy or boast; you are not arrogant or rude. You do not knowingly insist on the wrong way; rather, you will follow the Way of Allah (Islam).
التفاسير العربية:
۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰٓ ءَادَمَ وَنُوحٗا وَءَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَءَالَ عِمۡرَٰنَ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
33. Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham and the family of Imran (Amram) over all the people of the world10.
10. Allah chose them above all people of their times: Adam whom He created with His own hands, made the angels prostrate themselves to him; Noah, whom He made the first bearer of His message to humanity; Abraham, the beloved of God, and his descendants among whom is a great number of prophets, including Muhammad (ﷺ), the final and last messenger of God; the Family of ‘Imrān: ‘Amram' and his wife, their daughter Mary and her son Jesus, who is one of the greatest prophets of children of Israel.

ذُرِّيَّةَۢ بَعۡضُهَا مِنۢ بَعۡضٖۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
التفاسير العربية:
إِذۡ قَالَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُ عِمۡرَٰنَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرۡتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطۡنِي مُحَرَّرٗا فَتَقَبَّلۡ مِنِّيٓۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
35. When the spouse of Imraan said: "Lord (Allah), "I have made a vow to dedicate to Your service what is in my womb. So accept it from me. You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
التفاسير العربية:
فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتۡهَا قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعۡتُهَآ أُنثَىٰ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتۡ وَلَيۡسَ ٱلذَّكَرُ كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيۡتُهَا مَرۡيَمَ وَإِنِّيٓ أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ
36. When she delivered, she said: "Lord, I have delivered a female, and Allah knew best what she delivered. The male and the female are not alike. I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I commend her and her offspring (Jesus) into Your Protection from the accursed Satan11.
11. The Prophet Muhammad said: “Every newborn child is touched by the devil and they start off by wailing because of this touch, except Mary and her son”.
التفاسير العربية:
فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٖ وَأَنۢبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنٗا وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّاۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيۡهَا زَكَرِيَّا ٱلۡمِحۡرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزۡقٗاۖ قَالَ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ أَنَّىٰ لَكِ هَٰذَاۖ قَالَتۡ هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرۡزُقُ مَن يَشَآءُ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ
37. So her Lord (Allah) accepted her offer with a good acceptance, and made Mary grow up a goodly growing, and placed her into the custody of Zachariah. Whenever Zachariah entered the sanctuary to (see) her, he found with her (fresh) food12. He asked: "O Maryam, from where have you got this?" She said: "It is from Allah." Allah gives to whom He wills without keeping an account.
12. Wholesome fruits which did not belong to that season.
التفاسير العربية:
فَنَادَتۡهُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَآئِمٞ يُصَلِّي فِي ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحۡيَىٰ مُصَدِّقَۢا بِكَلِمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَسَيِّدٗا وَحَصُورٗا وَنَبِيّٗا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
39. Then the angels called Zachariah as he stood praying in the sanctuary: "That Allah gives you the good news of Yahya (John) confirming (Jesus) the Word from Allah13. He will be honorable, chaste and a Prophet from among the righteous."
13. The ‘Word of Allah’ is Jesus who was conceived by Mary through Allah’s Word and command.

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَقَدۡ بَلَغَنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ وَٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٞۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱللَّهُ يَفۡعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ
40. He14 said: "Lord (Allah), how can I have a son when old age has already come upon me, and my wife is barren?" (The angel) said: "Thus Allah does what He wills."
14. Zachariah did not address the angel or ask him for anything but rather, being fully cognizant that Allah is ever near and answering of Prayers, directed his Prayers to Allah and not the intermediary.

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّيٓ ءَايَةٗۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمۡزٗاۗ وَٱذۡكُر رَّبَّكَ كَثِيرٗا وَسَبِّحۡ بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
41. Zachariah preyed to Allah saying "Lord, show me a Sign (that it is Divine revelation) He said: "Your Sign is that you shall not speak to the people for three days except by signs (i.e., gestures)." Praise (Allah) your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning.

ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيۡكَۚ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ إِذۡ يُلۡقُونَ أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ أَيُّهُمۡ يَكۡفُلُ مَرۡيَمَ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ إِذۡ يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
44. This is of the news relating to the unseen that We reveal to you (Muhammad). You were not among those who cast out their pens (to decide) which of them would take custody of Mary, nor were you among those who disputed.
التفاسير العربية:
إِذۡ قَالَتِ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٖ مِّنۡهُ ٱسۡمُهُ ٱلۡمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ وَجِيهٗا فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
45. "Behold, when the angels said: "Maryam, Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him15 (of one) whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Maryam, worthy of regard in this world and the Hereafter, and of those who are drawn near to Allah.
15. Jesus was not conceived by any human act of procreation but rather, like Adam, through Allah’s commanding Word: Be! Thus he is called “the Word of Allah ”.
التفاسير العربية:
قَالَتۡ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي وَلَدٞ وَلَمۡ يَمۡسَسۡنِي بَشَرٞۖ قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ ٱللَّهُ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
47. She said: "Lord (Allah), how shall I have a son, when no man has ever touched me?" (The angel) said: "Such is Allah; He creates whatever He wills. When He decrees a matter, He says to it only, ‘Be,’ and it is.
التفاسير العربية:
وَيُعَلِّمُهُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
التفاسير العربية:
وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنِّي قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِـَٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ أَنِّيٓ أَخۡلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيۡـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ وَأُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا تَأۡكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
49. (And will send him as) a messenger to the children of Israel, (saying to them): That I have come to you with a Sign from (Allah) your Lord, that I determine for you out of dust like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with Allah’s Permission and I heal the blind and the leper, and bring the dead to life with Allah’s Permission and I inform you of what you eat and what you store up in your homes. There is certainly a Sign in this for you, if you are believers.
التفاسير العربية:
وَمُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَلِأُحِلَّ لَكُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي حُرِّمَ عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ وَجِئۡتُكُم بِـَٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
50. And (I have come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah and to make lawful to you some of that which was forbidden to you16, and I have come to you with a Sign (miracles) from (Allah) your Lord, so fear Allah (God) and obey me.
16. Such as working on the Sabbath day, the ban which is now lifted, the fat of oxen and sheep, eating fish and birds which had no spikes, etc.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٞ مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ
التفاسير العربية:
۞ فَلَمَّآ أَحَسَّ عِيسَىٰ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ قَالَ مَنۡ أَنصَارِيٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحۡنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَٱشۡهَدۡ بِأَنَّا مُسۡلِمُونَ
52. When Jesus realized (persistence in) denial on their part (the Jews), he said: "Who will be my helpers in Allah’s Way?" The disciples said: "We are helpers (in the Cause) of Allah, we believe in Allah and bear witness that we are Muslims.
التفاسير العربية:
رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا بِمَآ أَنزَلۡتَ وَٱتَّبَعۡنَا ٱلرَّسُولَ فَٱكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
53. (O Allah) our Lord, we believe in what You have sent down (of the Scripture) and we follow the Messenger (Jesus), so write us down with those who bear witness (to Your Oneness and Messengers)."
التفاسير العربية:
إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوۡقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ فِيمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ
55. When Allah said: "Jesus, I will take you and raise you up to Me, and deliver you from those (Jews) who denied you, and make those who follow you (in Islam) above17 those who deny (you) until the Day of Resurrection; then to Me shall be your (final) return, so I will Judge between you about that in which you differed.
17. In both spiritual supremacy and temporal leadership.
التفاسير العربية:
ذَٰلِكَ نَتۡلُوهُ عَلَيۡكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ وَٱلذِّكۡرِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡمُمۡتَرِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
فَمَنۡ حَآجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ فَقُلۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ نَدۡعُ أَبۡنَآءَنَا وَأَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَنِسَآءَنَا وَنِسَآءَكُمۡ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمۡ ثُمَّ نَبۡتَهِلۡ فَنَجۡعَل لَّعۡنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
61. Whoever disputes with you regarding him (Jesus) after what has come to you of knowledge18, then say: "Come let us call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and ourselves and yourselves, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the Curse of Allah (to be) upon the liars.'
18. I.e., Jesus being a servant of Allah, and having no share in Divinity.
التفاسير العربية:
فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ تَعَالَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٖ سَوَآءِۭ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ أَلَّا نَعۡبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَلَا نُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعۡضُنَا بَعۡضًا أَرۡبَابٗا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَقُولُواْ ٱشۡهَدُواْ بِأَنَّا مُسۡلِمُونَ
64.Say: "O followers of the (past) Scripture. Come to a common term between us and you: That we worship none but Allah, associate no partners with Him, and not take any one else as a Lord besides Allah. But if they turn away, then say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims (who submit to the Will of God alone)."
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَتِ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلُ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ
65. O followers of the (past) Scripture, why do you dispute about Abraham, when the Torah and the Evangel were not sent down till after him - do you not then understand?
التفاسير العربية:
هَٰٓأَنتُمۡ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ حَٰجَجۡتُمۡ فِيمَا لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ فَلِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيۡسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ
66. Here you are - those who have disputed about that of which you had some knowledge; why then do you dispute about that of which you have no knowledge (regarding Abraham’s true Faith)? It is Allah who knows, and you know not.
التفاسير العربية:
مَا كَانَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ يَهُودِيّٗا وَلَا نَصۡرَانِيّٗا وَلَٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفٗا مُّسۡلِمٗا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ أَوۡلَى ٱلنَّاسِ بِإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَٰذَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
68. The most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him (in submission to Allah) and this Prophet (i.e., Muhammad), and those who believe (the Muslims). Allah is the Guardian of the true believers.
التفاسير العربية:
وَدَّت طَّآئِفَةٞ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَوۡ يُضِلُّونَكُمۡ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ
69. A party of the followers of the (past) Scripture desire that they would lead you astray, and they lead not astray except themselves, but they do not perceive it.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَلۡبِسُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ وَتَكۡتُمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
71. O followers of the (past) Scripture, why do you mix the Truth with falsehood (by distorting the Scripture) and conceal the Truth19 knowingly?
19. The descriptions of the Prophet Muhammad in the Bible.
التفاسير العربية:
وَقَالَت طَّآئِفَةٞ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ءَامِنُواْ بِٱلَّذِيٓ أُنزِلَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَجۡهَ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱكۡفُرُوٓاْ ءَاخِرَهُۥ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ
72. A faction of the followers of the (past) Scripture (the Jews) say: "Believe in that which has been sent down to those who believe (i.e., the Muslims) in the first part of the day, and then deny it at the end of it, perhaps they will go back on their religion."
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا تُؤۡمِنُوٓاْ إِلَّا لِمَن تَبِعَ دِينَكُمۡ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ أَن يُؤۡتَىٰٓ أَحَدٞ مِّثۡلَ مَآ أُوتِيتُمۡ أَوۡ يُحَآجُّوكُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّكُمۡۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٞ
73. Do not trust except in him who follows your religion (and way of life). Say 'Muhammad': "The only (right) guidance is the Guidance of Allah. They say: "Do not reveal of what you are given (of Knowledge to them) so you will be all equal in it, or that they would contend with you before (Allah) your Lord". Say: "(All) Bounty is in the Hand of Allah, He gives it to whom He wills. Allah is Ample-Giving, All-Knowing.
التفاسير العربية:
يَخۡتَصُّ بِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
74. He singles out for His Mercy (the Prophethood and His message) whom He wills - Allah’s favors are great20.
20. Allah rains down grace on all mankind. He gave us the beauty and wonders of nature that we see each and every day. He often brings us the right thing just in time. He also gave us an innate conscience to know right from wrong.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ وَمِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَنۡ إِن تَأۡمَنۡهُ بِقِنطَارٖ يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ إِلَيۡكَ وَمِنۡهُم مَّنۡ إِن تَأۡمَنۡهُ بِدِينَارٖ لَّا يُؤَدِّهِۦٓ إِلَيۡكَ إِلَّا مَا دُمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِ قَآئِمٗاۗ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَالُواْ لَيۡسَ عَلَيۡنَا فِي ٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَ سَبِيلٞ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ
75. Among the followers of the (past) Scripture (Jews and Christians) is he who if you entrust him with a heap of wealth, he will pay it back to you; and among them is he who if you entrust him with a single silver coin, he will not pay it back to you, unless you remain firmly standing over him (demanding it). This is because they say: "There is not upon us in the matter of the unlearned any way (to reproach); and they knowingly ascribe false statements to Allah (God)."
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشۡتَرُونَ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلًا أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَا خَلَٰقَ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا يَنظُرُ إِلَيۡهِمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
77. Those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their own oaths for a worldly gain, will have no share in the Hereafter. Allah will not speak to them, nor will He look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them - theirs is a painful torment.
التفاسير العربية:
وَإِنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ لَفَرِيقٗا يَلۡوُۥنَ أَلۡسِنَتَهُم بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِتَحۡسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ
78. A party of them (the Jews) twist their tongues with the Scripture (the Torah as they read), that you may consider it to be (a part) of the Scripture, and they say, "this is from Allah," while it is not from Allah. They knowingly ascribe false statements to Allah.
التفاسير العربية:
مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤۡتِيَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُواْ عِبَادٗا لِّي مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن كُونُواْ رَبَّٰنِيِّـۧنَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَدۡرُسُونَ
79. It is not (possible) for any human being to whom Allah has given the Scripture, (sound) Judgment, and Prophethood, to say to the people: "Be my worshippers instead of Allah’s;" but rather (he would say): "Be worshippers of (Allah) the (True) Lord, because of your teaching the Scripture, and your reading (of it)."
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا يَأۡمُرَكُمۡ أَن تَتَّخِذُواْ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ أَرۡبَابًاۚ أَيَأۡمُرُكُم بِٱلۡكُفۡرِ بَعۡدَ إِذۡ أَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ
80. Nor would he order you that you take the angels21 and the prophets22 for lords (to worship); would he enjoin you with disbelief (and polytheism) after you are Muslims?

التفاسير العربية:
وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ لَمَآ ءَاتَيۡتُكُم مِّن كِتَٰبٖ وَحِكۡمَةٖ ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمۡ رَسُولٞ مُّصَدِّقٞ لِّمَا مَعَكُمۡ لَتُؤۡمِنُنَّ بِهِۦ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥۚ قَالَ ءَأَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ وَأَخَذۡتُمۡ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمۡ إِصۡرِيۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَقۡرَرۡنَاۚ قَالَ فَٱشۡهَدُواْ وَأَنَا۠ مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
81. (People of the Scripture, recall), when Allah made a Covenant through the Prophets23, saying: "After I have given you the Scripture and Wisdom - then a messenger (Muhammad) comes to you confirming that which is with you, you must believe in him, and you must help him." (Allah) said: "Do you affirm and accept My Covenant in this (matter)?" They said: "We do affirm." He said: "Then bear witness, and I (too) am of the witness with you."
23. It is possible that this oath was taken at the time the offspring of Adam were taken out of his back as breaths or taken from each Prophet at the time of his mission”.
التفاسير العربية:
أَفَغَيۡرَ دِينِ ٱللَّهِ يَبۡغُونَ وَلَهُۥٓ أَسۡلَمَ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ طَوۡعٗا وَكَرۡهٗا وَإِلَيۡهِ يُرۡجَعُونَ
83. Is it then other than God's true religion (of Islam) that they seek (to follow), and to Him submits whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be (all) returned.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَ وَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطِ وَمَآ أُوتِيَ مُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَٱلنَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيۡنَ أَحَدٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ وَنَحۡنُ لَهُۥ مُسۡلِمُونَ
84. Say: "We believe in Allah and what has been sent down to us (of the Qur’an), and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and (the Prophets from his) descendants, and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other Prophets from their Lord (Allah); we do not make any distinction between any of them, and to Him (Allah alone) do we submit."
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَن يَبۡتَغِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِ دِينٗا فَلَن يُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُ وَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
85. Whoever follows a religion (and way of life) other than Islam24, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers25.
24. Submission to the Will of God.
25. Muhammad, God's Messenger said: "By Him (Allâh) in Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is, there is none from amongst the Jews and the Christians (of these present nations) who hears about me and then dies without believing in the Message with which I have been sent (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism), but he will be from the dwellers of the Hellfire."
25. Muhammad, God's Messenger said: "By Him (Allâh) in Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is, there is none from amongst the Jews and the Christians (of these present nations) who hears about me and then dies without believing in the Message with which I have been sent (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism), but he will be from the dwellers of the Hellfire."
التفاسير العربية:
كَيۡفَ يَهۡدِي ٱللَّهُ قَوۡمٗا كَفَرُواْ بَعۡدَ إِيمَٰنِهِمۡ وَشَهِدُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱلرَّسُولَ حَقّٞ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
86. How will Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their believing and (after) they had borne witness that the messenger (Muhammad) is true and clear Proofs had come to them? Allah does not guide the (defiant) wrongdoing people.
التفاسير العربية:
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنظَرُونَ
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بَعۡدَ إِيمَٰنِهِمۡ ثُمَّ ٱزۡدَادُواْ كُفۡرٗا لَّن تُقۡبَلَ تَوۡبَتُهُمۡ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلضَّآلُّونَ
90. Those who deny (this Message) after their belief, then increase in denial, their repentance will not be accepted (nor will they be guided to repent) - these are the ones astray.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارٞ فَلَن يُقۡبَلَ مِنۡ أَحَدِهِم مِّلۡءُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَهَبٗا وَلَوِ ٱفۡتَدَىٰ بِهِۦٓۗ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ
91. Those who deny (the Truth) and die while they are deniers, never would the earth full of gold be accepted from anyone of them if they were to (seek) ransom for themselves with it26; theirs will be a painful torment, and no one will help them.
26. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "An idolater will be asked: ‘Suppose you had as much gold as to fill the earth, would you offer it to ransom yourself (from the Hell-Fire)?’ He will reply, ‘Yes.’ Then it will be said to him, ‘You were asked for something less than that (to join none in worship) with Allah, but you refused.
التفاسير العربية:
لَن تَنَالُواْ ٱلۡبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُواْ مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَيۡءٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٞ
92. Never shall you attain the highest state of virtue27 unless you spend part of what you dearly love (in charity). Whatever you spend, Allah certainly knows it.
27. The reward for it, which is Paradise.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ كُلُّ ٱلطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلّٗا لِّبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ إِلَّا مَا حَرَّمَ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تُنَزَّلَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُۚ قُلۡ فَأۡتُواْ بِٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ فَٱتۡلُوهَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
93. All (the pure) food was lawful to the children of Israel except that28 which Israel (Jacob) had forbidden for himself before the Torah was sent down. Say: "Bring then the Torah and read it, if you are truthful."
28. Camel's meat and its milk. When he was afflicted with sciatica, as he made a vow to Allah that if he were cured he would not eat the camel meat and drink the camel milk again which he loved much.
التفاسير العربية:
فِيهِ ءَايَٰتُۢ بَيِّنَٰتٞ مَّقَامُ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۖ وَمَن دَخَلَهُۥ كَانَ ءَامِنٗاۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ حِجُّ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ مَنِ ٱسۡتَطَاعَ إِلَيۡهِ سَبِيلٗاۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
97. In it are clear Signs, (such as) the standing spot of Abraham. Whoever enters its sanctuary and seeks refuge therein shall be secure. Pilgrimage to the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah) is incumbent upon mankind (for the Sake of Allah), (upon) every one who is able to undertake the journey to it. Whoever denies (the obligation of Hajj), Allah is certainly not in need of (any of His) creation.
التفاسير العربية:
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ مَنۡ ءَامَنَ تَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجٗا وَأَنتُمۡ شُهَدَآءُۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ
99.Say: "O followers of the (past) Scripture, why do you hinder him who believes from the Path of Allah (Islam)? You seek (to make) it seem crooked, while you witness (that it is straight)29? Allah is not unaware of what you do.
29. They are chastised for devising schemes to deviate people from the Straight Path while being fully aware and secretly bearing witness to the Truth which is mentioned in their Scriptures.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تُطِيعُواْ فَرِيقٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَرُدُّوكُم بَعۡدَ إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ كَٰفِرِينَ
100. Believers, if you obey a certain group among those (Jews and Christians) who have been given the Scripture, they will turn you back after your faith into deniers.
التفاسير العربية:
وَكَيۡفَ تَكۡفُرُونَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتُ ٱللَّهِ وَفِيكُمۡ رَسُولُهُۥۗ وَمَن يَعۡتَصِم بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدۡ هُدِيَ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
101. How can you deny (the Truth) while Allah’s Verses are being recited to you, and among you is His messenger (Muhammad) Whoever holds fast to Allah30, he indeed is guided to a right Path.
30. By holding tight to the surest of ties i.e. Islam.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ
31. By doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has prohibited.

وَٱعۡتَصِمُواْ بِحَبۡلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعٗا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُواْۚ وَٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ كُنتُمۡ أَعۡدَآءٗ فَأَلَّفَ بَيۡنَ قُلُوبِكُمۡ فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم بِنِعۡمَتِهِۦٓ إِخۡوَٰنٗا وَكُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفۡرَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنۡهَاۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ
103. Hold fast to the Rope of Allah all together (to Islam, the True Religion of God) and be not disunited. Recall the Favor of Allah upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so by His grace you became brothers; and you were on the brink of a pit of fire33, then He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His Verses, that you may be guided.

التفاسير العربية:
وَلۡتَكُن مِّنكُمۡ أُمَّةٞ يَدۡعُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡخَيۡرِ وَيَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
104. Let there be among you a party who invite others to do good deeds, command them to obey the law, and prohibit them from committing sins. It is these that will succeed.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَٱخۡتَلَفُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُۚ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٞ
105. Be not like those (Jews and Christians) who became divided and differed into sects after clear Proofs had come to them. These will have an awful torment.
التفاسير العربية:
يَوۡمَ تَبۡيَضُّ وُجُوهٞ وَتَسۡوَدُّ وُجُوهٞۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡوَدَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ أَكَفَرۡتُم بَعۡدَ إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ
106. On the Day when (some) faces are illuminated and others are darkened. As for those whose faces become dark: "Did you deny after your faith?" Taste then the torment for what you used to deny.
التفاسير العربية:
كُنتُمۡ خَيۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِۗ وَلَوۡ ءَامَنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَكَانَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۚ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
110. You (devout Muslims) are the best of nations raised up (as an example) for mankind. You command people to what is right (and just) and prohibit them from what is wrong (and unjust) and you believe in (the Oneness of) God. Had the people of the Scripture (the Jews and Christians) accepted the (Islamic) faith, it would have been better for them. Some of them have faith (in God), but most of them are rebellious (against God).
التفاسير العربية:
لَن يَضُرُّوكُمۡ إِلَّآ أَذٗىۖ وَإِن يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ يُوَلُّوكُمُ ٱلۡأَدۡبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ
111. They will not harm you except with (what annoys you of words of polytheism and disbelief) some annoyance. If they fight with you, they will turn (their) backs to you, then they will not be helped.
التفاسير العربية:
ضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ أَيۡنَ مَا ثُقِفُوٓاْ إِلَّا بِحَبۡلٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَحَبۡلٖ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡمَسۡكَنَةُۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعۡتَدُونَ
112. Humiliation is put over them wherever they may be except when under a Covenant (of Protection) from Allah (God) or a covenant (of protection) from people34. They have incurred the Wrath of Allah and degradation is stamped on them. This is for their denial of Allah’s Verses and killing the Prophets unjustly; this is for their rebelling and aggression.
34. Once they have submitted, the People of the Scripture retain their rights and honor (in spite of their refusal of Islām) through payment of the jizyah tax in place of Zakāh and military service due from Muslims. They are then under the protection of the Islāmic state.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ لَيۡسُواْ سَوَآءٗۗ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أُمَّةٞ قَآئِمَةٞ يَتۡلُونَ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَهُمۡ يَسۡجُدُونَ
113. They are not all alike. Of the followers of the (past) Scripture (the Jews and Christians) there is an upright people (who embraced Islam), they recite Allah’s Verses during the night and they prostrate (to Him in prayer).
التفاسير العربية:
يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِ وَيَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَيُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
114. They believe in Allah and the Last Day, command people to follow what is right (and just) and prohibit them from what is wrong (and unjust) and compete with each other in doing good deeds. These are the righteous ones.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغۡنِيَ عَنۡهُمۡ أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
116. Those who deny (God and His messenger Muhammad), neither their wealth nor their children will help them in the least against Allah (God). These are the inmates of the Fire - therein they will abide forever.
التفاسير العربية:
مَثَلُ مَا يُنفِقُونَ فِي هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٖ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتۡ حَرۡثَ قَوۡمٖ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَأَهۡلَكَتۡهُۚ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنۡ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ
117. The likeness of what they spend in the life of this world is as the likeness of frosty wind (that) strikes the harvest of a people who have sinned against themselves and destroys it. Allah (God) has not done injustice to them, but they have wronged themselves.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّخِذُواْ بِطَانَةٗ مِّن دُونِكُمۡ لَا يَأۡلُونَكُمۡ خَبَالٗا وَدُّواْ مَا عَنِتُّمۡ قَدۡ بَدَتِ ٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ مِنۡ أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ وَمَا تُخۡفِي صُدُورُهُمۡ أَكۡبَرُۚ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ
118. Believers, do not take for intimates35 those other than your own people36; for they do not fall short of inflicting loss upon you; they like to mislead you and see you in hardship. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their chests conceal is even worse. We have made the signs clear to you, if you will understand.

التفاسير العربية:
هَٰٓأَنتُمۡ أُوْلَآءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمۡ وَلَا يُحِبُّونَكُمۡ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ كُلِّهِۦ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوۡاْ عَضُّواْ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَنَامِلَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَيۡظِۚ قُلۡ مُوتُواْ بِغَيۡظِكُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
119. Here you are, you love them37 but they do not love you38, while you believe in all the (Divine) Books39. When they meet you, they say: "We believe," and when they are alone, they bite the ends of their fingers in rage against you. Say: "Die in your rage". Allah knows well what is in the chests.

التفاسير العربية:
إِن تَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ حَسَنَةٞ تَسُؤۡهُمۡ وَإِن تُصِبۡكُمۡ سَيِّئَةٞ يَفۡرَحُواْ بِهَاۖ وَإِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـًٔاۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِيطٞ
120. If good befalls you, it grieves them, and if harm afflicts you, they rejoice at it. But if you have patience and piety, their scheme will not harm you in any way. Allah comprehends what they do.
التفاسير العربية:
إِذۡ هَمَّت طَّآئِفَتَانِ مِنكُمۡ أَن تَفۡشَلَا وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَاۗ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
122. When two parties from among you40 almost lost courage (but Allah made them steadfast), as Allah was their Guardian. In Allah (alone) should the believers rely.

إِذۡ تَقُولُ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ أَلَن يَكۡفِيَكُمۡ أَن يُمِدَّكُمۡ رَبُّكُم بِثَلَٰثَةِ ءَالَٰفٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُنزَلِينَ
124. (Also remember) when you said to the believers: "Is it not enough that (Allah) your Lord is aasisting you with three thousand of the angels sent (from the heavens)?"
التفاسير العربية:
بَلَىٰٓۚ إِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ وَيَأۡتُوكُم مِّن فَوۡرِهِمۡ هَٰذَا يُمۡدِدۡكُمۡ رَبُّكُم بِخَمۡسَةِ ءَالَٰفٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ
125. Certainly, If you have patience and piety, and the enemy come upon you attacking in rage, your Lord (Allah) will assist you with five thousand of the havoc-wreaking angels.
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشۡرَىٰ لَكُمۡ وَلِتَطۡمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُم بِهِۦۗ وَمَا ٱلنَّصۡرُ إِلَّا مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ
126. Allah made it not except as good news for you, and that your hearts might be at ease thereby. (The real) victory is only from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ يَغۡفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
129. To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. He forgives whom He wills, and chastises whom He wills. Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَأۡكُلُواْ ٱلرِّبَوٰٓاْ أَضۡعَٰفٗا مُّضَٰعَفَةٗۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ
130. Believers, do not devour interest (usury)41, making it double and multiplied, and fear Allah - that you may succeed.
41. Mohammad, God's messenger said, "Avoid the seven deadly sins." The people enquired, "O God's Messenger, what are they?" He said, "(1) To join others in worship along with Allâh, (2) to practise sorcery, (3) to kill a person which Allâh has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islâmic law), (4) to consume Ribâ (usury), (5) to consume an orphan’s wealth, (6) to show one’s back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting for the Cause of God, (7) and to accuse chaste women (or men), who never even think of anything touching their chastity and are true believers".
التفاسير العربية:
وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ
42. I.e , hearing the word of God and acting on it. It implies aligning our will to God's will; doing what God has asked us to do. It is when we completely surrender to His authority and base our decisions and our actions on His Word.
43. I.e. to have faith and confidence in him and to follow and do what he commands us to do and abstain from what he prohibited us.

۞ وَسَارِعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
133. Hasten towards forgiveness from (Allah) your Lord, and to a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the pious ones who fear God and shun evil.
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلۡكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلۡغَيۡظَ وَٱلۡعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
134. Those who spend (part of what Allah has given them) in times of prosperity as well as in times of hardship44, who restrain (their) anger and pardon the people45; for Allah loves the doers of good.
44. Mohammad, God's messenger said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being". If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding means by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all this will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity."
45. God's Messenger said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger."

التفاسير العربية:
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَٰحِشَةً أَوۡ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ ذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَمَن يَغۡفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَلَمۡ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ
135. Those who when they commit an indecency or do injustice to themselves (by transgression or lesser sins, etc.), remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins - and who forgives the sins except Allah46? And (who) do not knowingly persist in what they have done.
46. Who is a God like you O Allah, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. Allah’s primary characteristic is His forgiving love and mercy, fueled by His patient. Allah is unique and distinct from the so-called gods of the pagan nations. Allah showed his love to us that He sent us his last and final messenger, the Prophet Muhammad,
that we might follow the right Path and live honorably in this world and the Hereafter.

التفاسير العربية:
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَجَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۚ وَنِعۡمَ أَجۡرُ ٱلۡعَٰمِلِينَ
136. (As for) these - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord (Allah), and gardens under which rivers flow, to abide therein forever. Excellent is the reward of those who work (righteousness).
التفاسير العربية:
هَٰذَا بَيَانٞ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدٗى وَمَوۡعِظَةٞ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
47. Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to Allah; and the peace of Allah that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of following God's last and final messenger, the Prophet Muhammad.
التفاسير العربية:
إِن يَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ قَرۡحٞ فَقَدۡ مَسَّ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ قَرۡحٞ مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ وَتِلۡكَ ٱلۡأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمۡ شُهَدَآءَۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
140. If a wound has touched you (at the battle of Uhud), a similar wound has also touched the (disbelieving) people (at the battle of Badr). We alternate these days (good and hard times) among the people, so that Allah (God) may make evident those who believe and take martyrs from among you. Allah does not like the unjust.
التفاسير العربية:
أَمۡ حَسِبۡتُمۡ أَن تَدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعۡلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُواْ مِنكُمۡ وَيَعۡلَمَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
142. Do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those who strive hard from among you (in His Cause), and made evident those who are patient?
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُۚ أَفَإِيْن مَّاتَ أَوۡ قُتِلَ ٱنقَلَبۡتُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡۚ وَمَن يَنقَلِبۡ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيۡهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ ٱللَّهَ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ وَسَيَجۡزِي ٱللَّهُ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
144. Muhammad is no more than a messenger (of God); indeed (many) messengers have already passed on before him. If then he dies or is killed, will you turn back upon your heels? Whoever turns back upon his heels, he will not do harm to Allah (God) in the least. Allah will reward the thankful.
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفۡسٍ أَن تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِ كِتَٰبٗا مُّؤَجَّلٗاۗ وَمَن يُرِدۡ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا نُؤۡتِهِۦ مِنۡهَا وَمَن يُرِدۡ ثَوَابَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ نُؤۡتِهِۦ مِنۡهَاۚ وَسَنَجۡزِي ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
145. No soul can ever die except with the Permission of Allah, the term is fixed. Whoever wants the reward of this world, We shall give him of it, and whoever wants the reward of the Hereafter We shall give him of it. We shall reward the thankful.
التفاسير العربية:
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِيّٖ قَٰتَلَ مَعَهُۥ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٞ فَمَا وَهَنُواْ لِمَآ أَصَابَهُمۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُواْ وَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
146. How many a Prophet fought (in the Way of Allah) and along with him (fought) many worshippers of (Allah) the Lord. They did not lose courage for what befell them in Allah’s Way, neither did they weaken, nor surrender. Allah loves the patient.
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَا كَانَ قَوۡلَهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسۡرَافَنَا فِيٓ أَمۡرِنَا وَثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
147. Their words were not but that they said: "(O Allah our) Lord, forgive us our sins and our transgressions in our affair and plant firmly our feet (in the battlefield), and give us victory over the denying people.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تُطِيعُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَرُدُّوكُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡ فَتَنقَلِبُواْ خَٰسِرِينَ
149. Believers, if you obey those who deny (the Truth) they will turn you back upon your heels, and you will become losers48.
48. Mohammad, God's Messenger said: "Anybody (from among the Muslims) who meets, gathers together, lives, and stays (permanently) with a pagan or unbeliever and agrees to his ways, opinions, etc. and (enjoys) his living with him then he (that Muslim) is like him."
التفاسير العربية:
بَلِ ٱللَّهُ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ ٱلنَّٰصِرِينَ
التفاسير العربية:
سَنُلۡقِي فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ٱلرُّعۡبَ بِمَآ أَشۡرَكُواْ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ سُلۡطَٰنٗاۖ وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُۖ وَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
151. We shall cast panic into the hearts of the deniers for associating with Allah that for which He has sent down no Authority; and their abode is the Fire (of Hell). How terrible is the abode of the evildoers.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَقَدۡ صَدَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَعۡدَهُۥٓ إِذۡ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذۡنِهِۦۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَشِلۡتُمۡ وَتَنَٰزَعۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِ وَعَصَيۡتُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ مَآ أَرَىٰكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَۚ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَۚ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمۡ عَنۡهُمۡ لِيَبۡتَلِيَكُمۡۖ وَلَقَدۡ عَفَا عَنكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
152. Allah certainly fulfilled His Promise to you when you put your enemies to death by His Permission, until (the time) when you lost courage and disputed about the order (given by the Prophet) and disobeyed after God had shown you that which you love (victory within your reach); of you were some who desired this world, and of you were some who desired the Hereafter; then He turned you away from them that He might try you; and indeed He has pardoned you - Allah is Gracious to the believers.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ إِذۡ تُصۡعِدُونَ وَلَا تَلۡوُۥنَ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٖ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ فِيٓ أُخۡرَىٰكُمۡ فَأَثَٰبَكُمۡ غَمَّۢا بِغَمّٖ لِّكَيۡلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا مَآ أَصَٰبَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ
153. When you were fleeing without even casting a side glance at anyone, and the messenger (of God) was calling you from your rear, there did Allah made you suffer sorrow upon sorrow to make you forget your grief for what you missed or befell you - Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
التفاسير العربية:
ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلۡغَمِّ أَمَنَةٗ نُّعَاسٗا يَغۡشَىٰ طَآئِفَةٗ مِّنكُمۡۖ وَطَآئِفَةٞ قَدۡ أَهَمَّتۡهُمۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ يَظُنُّونَ بِٱللَّهِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡحَقِّ ظَنَّ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِيَّةِۖ يَقُولُونَ هَل لَّنَا مِنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ مِن شَيۡءٖۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ كُلَّهُۥ لِلَّهِۗ يُخۡفُونَ فِيٓ أَنفُسِهِم مَّا لَا يُبۡدُونَ لَكَۖ يَقُولُونَ لَوۡ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ شَيۡءٞ مَّا قُتِلۡنَا هَٰهُنَاۗ قُل لَّوۡ كُنتُمۡ فِي بُيُوتِكُمۡ لَبَرَزَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلۡقَتۡلُ إِلَىٰ مَضَاجِعِهِمۡۖ وَلِيَبۡتَلِيَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمۡ وَلِيُمَحِّصَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
154. Then after the sorrow, He sent down (relief in the form of) drowsiness upon you, a calmness coming upon a party of you, and (there was) another party whom cared mainly for themselves; they entertained about Allah thoughts of ignorance, other than the truth, saying: "Do we have any say in the matter?". Say: "All matters are (in the Hands) of Allah." They conceal within themselves what they would not reveal to you. They say: "Had we any hand in the matter, we would not have been killed here." Say: "Even if you had stayed in your houses, those for whom death was ordained would certainly have gone forth to their killing places. But Allah did so that He may test you and purge what is in your hearts. Allah knows what is in the chests.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوۡاْ مِنكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ إِنَّمَا ٱسۡتَزَلَّهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ بِبَعۡضِ مَا كَسَبُواْۖ وَلَقَدۡ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنۡهُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٞ
155. Those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met (at Uhud), only Satan caused them to slip due to some (sins) they had earned, but Allah has pardoned them; for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقَالُواْ لِإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡ إِذَا ضَرَبُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَوۡ كَانُواْ غُزّٗى لَّوۡ كَانُواْ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُواْ وَمَا قُتِلُواْ لِيَجۡعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ حَسۡرَةٗ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٞ
156. Believers, be not like the deniers, who said of their brothers when they travelled through the land (for trade, etc.) or took part in fighting: "Had they been with us, they would not have died or have been killed." So Allah will make this an intense regret in their hearts. It is Allah who gives life and causes death. Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَئِن مُّتُّمۡ أَوۡ قُتِلۡتُمۡ لَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ
التفاسير العربية:
فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلۡقَلۡبِ لَٱنفَضُّواْ مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
159. Thus it is due to Mercy from Allah that you deal with them gently. Had you been harsh, hard-hearted, they would certainly have dispersed from around you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and take counsel with them in important matters; so once you have taken a decision, place your (complete) trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who are reliant.
التفاسير العربية:
إِن يَنصُرۡكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمۡۖ وَإِن يَخۡذُلۡكُمۡ فَمَن ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَنصُرُكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦۗ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
160. If Allah (God) is your Helper, then there is none that can overcome you. However, if He forsakes you, who is there then that can help you after Him? On Allah (alone) should the believers rely.
التفاسير العربية:
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَن يَغُلَّۚ وَمَن يَغۡلُلۡ يَأۡتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّا كَسَبَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ
161. No Prophet ever misappropriates49; and whoever misappropriates 'something' shall come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection50. Then every soul shall be requited fully what it has earned (of good or bad), and they will not be dealt with unjustly.
49. Whether war booty, public or private funds; and that is to stealthily, illegally seize possession of something; in this instance, spoils of war in particular.
50. Prophet Muhammad said: “By Allah none of you misappropriates part of it ˹collected mandatory alms˺ without him meeting Allah on the Day of Judgement carrying it. And I shall know everyone of you who meets Allah carrying a camel grunting, a cow lowing or a goat bleating...”

التفاسير العربية:
هُمۡ دَرَجَٰتٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ
التفاسير العربية:
لَقَدۡ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ إِذۡ بَعَثَ فِيهِمۡ رَسُولٗا مِّنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡ يَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ لَفِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٍ
164. Allah conferred a great Favor upon the believers when He raised among them a messenger (Prophet Muhammad) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them, and teaching them the Book (Qur’an) and Wisdom. Before this they were certainly in manifest error.
التفاسير العربية:
أَوَلَمَّآ أَصَٰبَتۡكُم مُّصِيبَةٞ قَدۡ أَصَبۡتُم مِّثۡلَيۡهَا قُلۡتُمۡ أَنَّىٰ هَٰذَاۖ قُلۡ هُوَ مِنۡ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ
165. Why (is it that) when a (single) calamity befell you (at Uhud), and you had certainly afflicted (the deniers) with twice as much (at Badr), you began to say: "From where is this (misfortune)?" Say: "It is from yourselves." Allah is Able to do all things.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلِيَعۡلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ نَافَقُواْۚ وَقِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ قَٰتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَوِ ٱدۡفَعُواْۖ قَالُواْ لَوۡ نَعۡلَمُ قِتَالٗا لَّٱتَّبَعۡنَٰكُمۡۗ هُمۡ لِلۡكُفۡرِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَقۡرَبُ مِنۡهُمۡ لِلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ يَقُولُونَ بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِم مَّا لَيۡسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَكۡتُمُونَ
167. And make evident those who are hypocrites. When it was said to them: "Come, fight in God’s Way, or (at least) defend yourselves." They said: "If we knew (there would be) fighting we would certainly have followed you." They were on that day much nearer to faithlessness than to Faith. They say with their mouths what is not in their hearts - Allah knows best what they conceal.
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُواْ لِإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡ وَقَعَدُواْ لَوۡ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُواْۗ قُلۡ فَٱدۡرَءُواْ عَنۡ أَنفُسِكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
168. Those who said of their brethren whilst they (themselves) held back (from fighting): "Had they obeyed us, they would not have been killed (at Uhud)." Say: "Avert death from yourselves if you speak the truth."
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٰتَۢاۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ يُرۡزَقُونَ
169. Do not think that those who are killed in God’s Way as dead. Rather, they are alive (and) are provided good sustenance from their Lord (Allah)51;
51. Allah (God) states that even though the martyrs were killed in this life, their souls are alive and receiving provisions in the Dwelling of Everlasting Life. The companions of the Prophet asked him about this Verse, "Do not think that those who are killed in God’s Way as dead. Rather, they are alive (and) are provided good sustenance from their Lord (Allah)." and he said, "Their souls are inside green birds that have lamps, which are hanging below the Throne (of Allah), and they wander about in Paradise wherever they wish. Then they return to those lamps. Allah looks at them and says, `Do you wish for anything' They say, `What more could we wish for, while we go wherever we wish in Paradise' Allah asked them this question thrice, and when they realize that He will keep asking them until they give an answer, they say, `O Lord, we wish that our souls be returned to our bodies so that we are killed in Your cause again.' Allah knew that they did not have any other wish, so they were left."' The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, also said, “No one who enters Paradise would like to return to the world, even if he could have everything on earth, except for the martyr. He will wish to return to the world and be killed ten more times due to the generous reward he sees.”
التفاسير العربية:
فَرِحِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَيَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ بِٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يَلۡحَقُواْ بِهِم مِّنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ أَلَّا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
170. Rejoicing in what Allah has given them out of His bounty, and they rejoice for the sake of those (to be martyred) after them, who have not yet joined them - that they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve.
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ ٱلۡقَرۡحُۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحۡسَنُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ أَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٌ
172. Those who responded to the call of Allah and the Messenger after being wounded (at Uhud), those among them who did good and guarded themselves (against evil) shall have a great reward.
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ قَدۡ جَمَعُواْ لَكُمۡ فَٱخۡشَوۡهُمۡ فَزَادَهُمۡ إِيمَٰنٗا وَقَالُواْ حَسۡبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡوَكِيلُ
173.Those (believers) to whom the people (hypocrites) said: "Men have gathered against you, so fear them," but it only increased them in faith, and they said: "Allah is Enough for us and (He is) the (real) Trustee 'and Savior'52."
52. In Allah alone is found hope, safety, and peace. We do not have to be afraid of our enemies. When life gets hard, we can pray to Allah to find real help and strength.
التفاسير العربية:
فَٱنقَلَبُواْ بِنِعۡمَةٖ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَفَضۡلٖ لَّمۡ يَمۡسَسۡهُمۡ سُوٓءٞ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ رِضۡوَٰنَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو فَضۡلٍ عَظِيمٍ
174. So they returned with Favor from Allah and (His) bounty, no evil touched them, and they followed the Pleasure of Allah - Allah is the Lord of Great Bounty.
التفاسير العربية:
إِنَّمَا ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوۡلِيَآءَهُۥ فَلَا تَخَافُوهُمۡ وَخَافُونِ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
175. It is Satan who frightens you through his allies, do not fear them, but fear Me (Allah) alone - if you are (true) believers53.
53. Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, for Allah your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡكُفۡرِۚ إِنَّهُمۡ لَن يَضُرُّواْ ٱللَّهَ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَلَّا يَجۡعَلَ لَهُمۡ حَظّٗا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
176. Let not those grieve you who hasten into faithlessness; they can do no harm to Allah (God) at all. Allah intends that He will not give them any share in the Hereafter. They will have a grievous torment.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّمَا نُمۡلِي لَهُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لِّأَنفُسِهِمۡۚ إِنَّمَا نُمۡلِي لَهُمۡ لِيَزۡدَادُوٓاْ إِثۡمٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ
178. Let not those who deny (God and His messenger Muhammad) think that Our granting them respite is better for themselves, We grant them respite only that they may increase in sin; and they will have a disgraceful torment.
التفاسير العربية:
مَّا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ حَتَّىٰ يَمِيزَ ٱلۡخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِۗ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُطۡلِعَكُمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡتَبِي مِن رُّسُلِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۖ فَـَٔامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۚ وَإِن تُؤۡمِنُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَلَكُمۡ أَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٞ
179. Allah would not leave the believers in the condition which you are in (presently) until He separates the bad from the good; nor is Allah going to make you acquainted with the unseen, but Allah chooses of His messengers whom He wills. Believe in Allah and His messengers. If you believe and fear Allah and shun evil, you shall have a great reward.
التفاسير العربية:
وَلَا يَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَبۡخَلُونَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ هُوَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۖ بَلۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ لَّهُمۡۖ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِۦ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ
180. Let not those who (greedily) withhold what Allah has granted them out of His bounty ever think that it is good for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by a collar of what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. To Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth - Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
التفاسير العربية:
لَّقَدۡ سَمِعَ ٱللَّهُ قَوۡلَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَقِيرٞ وَنَحۡنُ أَغۡنِيَآءُۘ سَنَكۡتُبُ مَا قَالُواْ وَقَتۡلَهُمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ
181. Allah has certainly heard the saying of those (unbelieving Jews) who said: "Allah is poor and we are rich." Their words are recorded and so is their unjust killings of the Prophets, and We shall say (to them on the Day of Judgment): "Taste the torment of the burning Fire."
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيۡنَآ أَلَّا نُؤۡمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَنَا بِقُرۡبَانٖ تَأۡكُلُهُ ٱلنَّارُۗ قُلۡ قَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ رُسُلٞ مِّن قَبۡلِي بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَبِٱلَّذِي قُلۡتُمۡ فَلِمَ قَتَلۡتُمُوهُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
183. (Those are they) who said: "Allah has enjoined us that we should not believe in any messenger until he brings us an offering which fire (from the sky) shall devour." Say: "Indeed, there came to you messengers before me with clear Signs and with that which you demand; so why then did you slay them, if you are truthful?"
التفاسير العربية:
فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقَدۡ كُذِّبَ رُسُلٞ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ جَآءُو بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُنِيرِ
184. But if they reject you (Muhammad), so indeed were rejected before you (many) messengers who came with clear Proofs, written Ordinances and the enlightening Scripture.
التفاسير العربية:
كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۗ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوۡنَ أُجُورَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۖ فَمَن زُحۡزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدۡخِلَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ فَقَدۡ فَازَۗ وَمَا ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ
185. Every soul shall taste death. You shall only be paid fully your reward on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is drawn away from the eternal Fire and is made to enter Paradise, he indeed has attained success. The life of this world is nothing but a deceiving enjoyment.
التفاسير العربية:
۞ لَتُبۡلَوُنَّ فِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ وَأَنفُسِكُمۡ وَلَتَسۡمَعُنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُوٓاْ أَذٗى كَثِيرٗاۚ وَإِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ
186. You shall certainly be tried in your possessions and in your selves, and you will hear from those (Jews and Christians) who have been given the Scripture before you, and from the pagans, much annoying talk. If you have patience and piety, this is of the affairs (which should be) determined upon.
التفاسير العربية:
وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكۡتُمُونَهُۥ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمۡ وَٱشۡتَرَوۡاْ بِهِۦ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلٗاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَا يَشۡتَرُونَ
187. When Allah made a Covenant with those (Jews and Christians) who were given the Scripture: "You shall certainly make it (the coming of the Prophet Muhammad) known to the people, and you shall not hide it;" but they cast it behind their backs and took a small price for it - so evil is that which they bought.
التفاسير العربية:
لَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡرَحُونَ بِمَآ أَتَواْ وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحۡمَدُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يَفۡعَلُواْ فَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّهُم بِمَفَازَةٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
188. Do not think that those who delight in what they brought about (of misleading deeds), and like to be praised for what they have not done (of righteousness) - do not think that they are safe from the torment, and for them is a painful torment.
التفاسير العربية:
ٱلَّذِينَ يَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِيَٰمٗا وَقُعُودٗا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمۡ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقۡتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلٗا سُبۡحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
191. Those who remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): "(O Allah our) Sovereign Lord You have not created (all) this in vain. Glory be to You. Save us from the torment of the Hellfire.
التفاسير العربية:
رَّبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا سَمِعۡنَا مُنَادِيٗا يُنَادِي لِلۡإِيمَٰنِ أَنۡ ءَامِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَـَٔامَنَّاۚ رَبَّنَا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرۡ عَنَّا سَيِّـَٔاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ
193. Our Sovereign Lord, we have heard a caller (Muhammad) calling to the Faith, saying: "Believe in your Sovereign Lord (Allah), so we have believed." Lord, forgive us our sins, cover our bad deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with those who are obedient (to You).
التفاسير العربية:
فَٱسۡتَجَابَ لَهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ أَنِّي لَآ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَٰمِلٖ مِّنكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوۡ أُنثَىٰۖ بَعۡضُكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡضٖۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ وَأُخۡرِجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَأُوذُواْ فِي سَبِيلِي وَقَٰتَلُواْ وَقُتِلُواْ لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنۡهُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ وَلَأُدۡخِلَنَّهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ ثَوَابٗا مِّنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسۡنُ ٱلثَّوَابِ
195. Their Lord (Allah) answered their prayer: "That I will never waste the deeds of any doer among you, whether male or female, you are of one another54. Those who emigrated and were expelled from their homes and were persecuted for My sake, and fought and were killed - I will certainly expiate their sins and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow; a reward from Allah, and with Allah is the best of rewards."
54. Both men and women are born of each other and are looked upon equally.
التفاسير العربية:
لَا يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ
التفاسير العربية:
لَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوۡاْ رَبَّهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا نُزُلٗا مِّنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيۡرٞ لِّلۡأَبۡرَارِ
198. But for those who fear (Allah) their Lord and keep His Commandments, they shall have gardens under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever - a hospitable Welcome from Allah, and that which is with Allah is best for the virtuous.
التفاسير العربية:
وَإِنَّ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَمَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُمۡ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ خَٰشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ لَا يَشۡتَرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ
199. There are among the followers of the (past) Scripture (Jews and Christians) those who believe in Allah (God) and what is sent down to you (of the Qur’an) and what was sent down to them, being humble before Allah; they do not trade God's Verses for a small price. These will have their reward with their Lord (Allah). Allah is Quick in Reckoning.
التفاسير العربية:
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱصۡبِرُواْ وَصَابِرُواْ وَرَابِطُواْ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ
200. Believers, be patient, excel in patience55, guard your possessions, remain firm, fear God and shun evil - that you may succeed.
55. The Qur’an teaches us to be patient in our interactions with others. We are encouraged to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience when dealing with others. We are reminded to be patient with those who may be difficult or challenging to love.
