3. He has sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (Qur’an) in truth, confirming what came before it (of Divine Scriptures), and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel [2]. info

[2]. Injīl (Evangel; Gospel) is the Arabic name for the Scripture that was given to Jesus.-Injīl, in Islam, is not to be identified with the extant biblical ‘New Testament’; rather it is believed, as told in the Qur’an, to have been revealed to Jesus, son of Mary, as a whole. It is also believed to have either been lost or corrupted. The same goes for the Torah, to a great extent. Not all the words in the today's Bible are God’s words. But there are some words of the bible are God's which is confirmed by the Qur’an. Any one who says that the words of the bible are all the words of God is blaspheming God. The Qur'an is unique in being the only Book that is free of inaccuracies, whose text has been so carefully preserved and are all God's Words.

14. Beautified for people is the love of what they desire - of women, children, hoarded treasures of gold and silver, fine horses, livestock, and farms. Such is the enjoyment of the life of this world [3], but Allāh has with Him the best return. info

[3]. Righteousness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. If we have our daily food, clothing, home, health and peace, with these, one must be content. Those who desire to be rich by any means fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. Muhammad, the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “The one among you who wakes up secure in his property, healthy in his body and has his food for the day, it is as if the whole world were brought to him.”

15. Say: Shall I inform you of what is better than all that [4]? For those who guard against evil are gardens with their Lord under which rivers flow, to abide therein forever - along with purified wives and the good Pleasure of Allāh. And Allāh is All-Seeing of (His) servants. info

[4]. It is human nature to desire such things as are alluring. But the true Faith requires resisting worldly temptations, putting them second to seeking Allah’s Pleasure, and devoting oneself to Allāh by following the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, God's last and final Messenger as his example.

19. Truly, the religion with Allāh is Islam [5]. Those who were given the Scripture did not differ untill after knowledge had come to them - out of envy among themselves. And whoever rejects the revelations of Allāh, then surely Allāh is swift in Reckoning. info

[5]. The meaning of the word 'Islām' is "submission to the will of God." This is the way of life ordained by God and taught by all of the prophets from Adam to Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ). It conveys two meanings: yielding and surrender, and devoting one’s surrender to Allāh (God) alone. A Muslim is the one who submits and surrenders himself to God.

And say to those who were given the Scripture, as well as the unlettered (i.e., the pagans): "Have you submitted [to Him]?" 21. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allāh, and kill the Prophets unjustly [6], and kill those who order justice from among the people - give them tidings of a painful punishment. info

60. [This is] the Truth from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters [19]. info

[19]. Doubt is an experience common to all people. Even those with faith in Allāh may struggle with it in different ways. Some are greatly hindered by doubt; others view it as a challenge to overcome; and some even see it as a springboard for growth.
The Qur’an and Sunnah speak about the causes of doubt and provide examples of people who struggled with it. A useful definition of doubt is “to lack confidence, or to consider something unlikely.”
The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said:
“Satan comes to one of you and says, ‘Who created such-and-such?’ until he says, ‘Who created your Lord?’ If he reaches that stage, one should seek refuge with Allāh and give up such thoughts.”
When Satan tempted Adam and Eve, Allāh had already given them a clear command regarding the tree and had specified the consequence of disobedience. Satan planted doubt in their minds when he asked: “Did Allāh really say, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden’?” His aim was to make them lose confidence in Allāh’s command. When they affirmed what Allāh had said, including the warning, Satan followed up with denial. (See Qur’an 2:35–36; 7:20–22; 20:120–121)
Thus, doubt is one of Satan’s tools to make us lose confidence in Allāh’s Word and consider His judgment unlikely.
Yet we cannot place all the blame on Satan. The Qur’an makes clear that we are responsible for our own doubts. For example, when Zechariah was visited by the angel and told he would be granted a son (John), he doubted the message. Reasoning that he and his wife were too old to have children, he asked for a sign. In response, the angel told him that he would be mute for a period of time. (See Qur’an 3:38–41; 19:2–10)
Similarly, others have doubted Allāh’s power to overcome natural obstacles, such as in the story of Ezra (ʿUzayr). When he wondered how Allāh could bring life to a ruined city, Allāh caused him to die for a hundred years and then resurrected him, showing him His absolute power. (See Qur’an 2:259)
Whenever human reasoning overshadows trust in Allāh, sinful doubt arises.
Faith means trusting Allāh even when His plan seems to go against human reason or experience.

76. Yes indeed, whoever fulfills his promise and guards himself against evil - then Allāh loves the righteous [23]. info

[23]. We all find it comforting to consider the reality that there is Allāh, the Creator, the author of life, who is, in his very nature, loving and who loves the righteous.
The Qur’an also tells us (over and over) that Allāh is just. Allāh is the judge of the world. And a just judge is a righteous one. A righteous judge does not let the guilty go unpunished. Allāh loves righteousness and justice. He will repay each one according to his works: eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality; but wrath and anger to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth while obeying unrighteousness.

The man replied: "I have heard you saying such and such.'He said, I say that even now. Whoever of you is appointed by us to a position, he should render an account of everything, big or small, and whatever he is given therefrom, he should take and he should desist from taking what is unlawful". Here functionaries of government are warned to perform their duties with co-operation and integrity. If they neglect their duties or take undue advantage of their official position, they will be held guilty by Allāh for dereliction of their duties and misuse of power. It is not difficult to imagine the fate of such officers who conspire in the loot and plunder as is the case in many societies today.

The companions of the Prophet asked him about this Verse, "Do not think that those who are killed in Allah’s Way as dead. Rather, they are alive (and) are provided good provision from their Lord 'Allāh'." and he said, "Their souls are inside green birds that have lamps, which are hanging below the Throne 'of Allāh', and they wander about in Paradise wherever they wish. Then they return to those lamps. Allāh looks at them and says, `Do you wish for anything' They say, `What more could we wish for, while we go wherever we wish in Paradise' Allāh asked them this question thrice, and when they realize that He will keep asking them until they give an answer, they say, `O Lord, we wish that our souls be returned to our bodies so that we are killed in Your cause again.'
