3. In every thing praise Allāh and give thanks: for this is the will of Allāh.
4. Ingratitude is a sin with severe repercussions. The Qur’an gives a detailed description of the downfall of a person or a society. Listed alongside idolatry, murder, adultery, homosexuality, theft and cheating every kind of rebellion is unthankfulness. Although they knew Allāh, the Creator, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him. This tells us that Allāh takes gratefulness—and ungratefulness—seriously. As long as a person or a society remains thankful to God, they retain a sensitivity to His presence. Thankfulness toward Allāh requires a belief in Him and His messenger, the Prophet Muhammad, and ingratitude fails to fulfill our responsibility to acknowledge them. When we refuse to be thankful or to express gratitude, we grow hard-hearted and proud. We take for granted all that Allāh has given us and become deniers for His graces.
8. They give food6, out of love for Him, to the destitute, the orphan and the captive,
6. Muhammad, God's messenger said: 'O people, 'share Islam' and spread peace 'and love to one another', give food to the poor, uphold the ties of kinship, pray during the night while people 'normally' sleep, and you will enter Paradise in peace.'
So take your inheritance, the paradise prepared for you since the creation of the world. For you fed the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty, invited to come in the stranger, clothed the needy, looked after the sick, and visited the prisoner giving him his needs both spiritual and physical.
21. Upon them will be clothing of fine green silk and rich brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord (Allāh) will give them a purifying drink.
28. It is We who created them and strengthened their joints. Had We wanted, We could have replaced them entirely with others of their kind complete replacement.
31. He admits whomever He wills to His mercy. As for the workers of iniquity12, He has prepared for them a painful torment.
12. The idolaters, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the thieves, the extortioners guilty of snatching away from another by strife, greed, and oppression that which does not lawfully belong to them, those who practice magic arts, those who utters curses or that shouts verbally abusive language, and all the liars.
