Al-A‘rāf

1 : 7

الٓمٓصٓ

1. Alif, Laam, Meem, Saad ^[1].

2 : 7

كِتَٰبٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكَ فَلَا يَكُن فِي صَدۡرِكَ حَرَجٞ مِّنۡهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

2. (This is) a Book sent down to you (O Muhammad) - so let there be no anxiety in your chest regarding it, that you may warn thereby, and it is a reminder to the believers.

3 : 7

ٱتَّبِعُواْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۗ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

3. Follow (O mankind) what has been sent down to you 'of revelation' from your Lord (Allāh), and do not follow any (deties, lords, and) saints ^[2] besides Him. Little do you take heed.

[2]. false gods. Do not add to Allāh's words and the words of His messenger, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, or else Allāh will rebuke you, and you will be found a liar.

4 : 7

وَكَم مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأۡسُنَا بَيَٰتًا أَوۡ هُمۡ قَآئِلُونَ

4. How many a (sinful) town have We destroyed, so Our punishment came to it ^[3] by night or while they were taking midday nap.

[3]. Allāh, the All-Just, will only inflict punishment on those whom He forewarned and who were made aware of their wrongs through the communication of the Message and warning.

5 : 7

فَمَا كَانَ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ إِذۡ جَآءَهُم بَأۡسُنَآ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

5. Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: "we were certainly unjust."

6 : 7

فَلَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

6. So We will certainly question those to whom (the messengers) were sent, and We will certainly question the messengers;

7 : 7

فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيۡهِم بِعِلۡمٖۖ وَمَا كُنَّا غَآئِبِينَ

7. So We will certainly relate to them (their whole story) with knowledge, for We were not absent.

8 : 7

وَٱلۡوَزۡنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡحَقُّۚ فَمَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ

8. The weighing on that Day will be true and just. As for the one whose scales 'of good deeds' is heavy, it is they who will be prosperous;

9 : 7

وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظۡلِمُونَ

9. As for him whose scales (of good deeds) is light, they are the ones who lose themselves, for they used to wrongly deal with Our revelations ^[4].

[4]. Allāh would never leave people in the dark without showing them His evidences, but it is up to them to believe or deny.

10 : 7

وَلَقَدۡ مَكَّنَّٰكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَۗ قَلِيلٗا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ

10. We have certainly established you on the earth, and made in it means of livelihood for you. Little it is that you give thanks (to Allāh).

11 : 7

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ ثُمَّ صَوَّرۡنَٰكُمۡ ثُمَّ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ لَمۡ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

11. We have indeed created you (O mankind), then We formed you, then We said to the angels: "Prostrate to Adam". So they prostrated except Iblees 'Satan'; he was not of those who prostrated.
