Yūnus

1 : 10

الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡحَكِيمِ

1. Alif Lam Ra ^[1]. These are the Verses of the Wise Book ^[2].

2 : 10

أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنۡ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ أَنۡ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ قَدَمَ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۗ قَالَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٞ مُّبِينٌ

2.Was it a wonder to the mankind that We revealed to a man (Muhammad) from among themselves, (saying): "Warn the people (who are heedless), and give good news to those who believe that theirs is a sincere footing with their Lord (Allāh) ^[3]." 'But' the disbelievers said: "This (man) is certainly an obvious sorcerer.^[4]"

[3]. A sincere footing is a sending forth of good deeds. Here it means that for the believers is felicity as has been earlier decreed by God and written in the Preserved Tablet for their sending forth of good deeds and believing in Muhammad (ﷺ) who guided them to the path that leads to Paradise. Safely treasuring up for themselves a fine foundation and noble position for the future, so that they may get a firm hold on the real life - life of the Hereafter.
[4]. They could only rationalize the bewildering effect of the Message of Islam by saying that it bewitches people.

3 : 10

إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَۖ مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ إِذۡنِهِۦۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

3. Indeed, your Lord is Allāh, Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days then rose over the Throne, disposing the affairs (of all that exists). There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allāh, your Lord, so worship Him alone. Will you not then take heed?

4 : 10

إِلَيۡهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ جَمِيعٗاۖ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّاۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ لِيَجۡزِيَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَهُمۡ شَرَابٞ مِّنۡ حَمِيمٖ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمُۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡفُرُونَ

4. To Him will be your (final) return altogether, Allah’s Promise, truly (binding). Surely He begins the creation, then He brings it back again (to life, after their death), so that He may justly reward those who believe and do good deeds. But those who disbelieve (in the Truth), for them is a drink of scalding hot water and a painful torment, for their (persistent) disbelieving.

5 : 10

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ ضِيَآءٗ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ نُورٗا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعۡلَمُواْ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلۡحِسَابَۚ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَعۡلَمُونَ

5. It is He (Allāh) Who made the sun radiant and the moon a 'reflected' light, and has determined for it phases so that you may know the number of years and the reckoning 'of time'. Allāh did not create that except for Truth (and genuine purpose). He details the signs clear for a people who have knowledge.

6 : 10

إِنَّ فِي ٱخۡتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَّقُونَ

6. The alternation of the night and day, and all that Allāh has created in the heavens and the earth, there are signs for a people who 'fear Allāh and' shun evil.

7 : 10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا وَرَضُواْ بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱطۡمَأَنُّواْ بِهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا غَٰفِلُونَ

7. Indeed, those who do not hope in Our meeting and are content with this worldly life and content with it, and those who pay no attention to Our revelations:

8 : 10

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَأۡوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

8. Those, their ultimate abode will be the Fire, for what they used to commit (of evil).

9 : 10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ يَهۡدِيهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَٰنِهِمۡۖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ فِي جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

9. Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, their Lord 'Allāh' will guide them by their faith; there shall flow under them rivers, in gardens of bliss.

10 : 10

دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ فِيهَا سُبۡحَٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمۡ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٞۚ وَءَاخِرُ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ أَنِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

10. Their call in it will be: "Glory 'and Honor' be to You, O Allāh," and their greeting therein, "Peace"; and the concluding of their prayer: "All praise be to Allāh, the Lord of the worlds."

11 : 10

۞ وَلَوۡ يُعَجِّلُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ ٱلشَّرَّ ٱسۡتِعۡجَالَهُم بِٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَقُضِيَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَجَلُهُمۡۖ فَنَذَرُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِي طُغۡيَٰنِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ

11. If Allāh were to hasten to mankind ill (they invoke) ^[5] as they would seek hastening of good, their term would have been already decreed to them, but We 'give respite and' leave those who hope not for Our Meeting in their transgression, blindly wandering on.

[5]. In anger or in heedlessness.

12 : 10

وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ ٱلضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوۡ قَاعِدًا أَوۡ قَآئِمٗا فَلَمَّا كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمۡ يَدۡعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرّٖ مَّسَّهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

12. And when adversity touches man, he invokes us, whether lying on his side, sitting or standing; but when We relieve him of his hardship, he moves on as though he had never invoked Us to an adversity that touched him. Thus it is made fair seeming to the extravagant what they used (to) do.

13 : 10

وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡقُرُونَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤۡمِنُواْۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

13. And We have indeed destroyed generations before you when they (persistently) commited iniquites and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the guilty people.

14 : 10

ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ لِنَنظُرَ كَيۡفَ تَعۡمَلُونَ

14.Then We made you successors in the land after them, so that We may see how you act.

15 : 10

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرۡجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا ٱئۡتِ بِقُرۡءَانٍ غَيۡرِ هَٰذَآ أَوۡ بَدِّلۡهُۚ قُلۡ مَا يَكُونُ لِيٓ أَنۡ أُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلۡقَآيِٕ نَفۡسِيٓۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّۖ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ إِنۡ عَصَيۡتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ

15. And when Our clear Verses are recited to them, those who do not expect Our Meeting say (to the Prophet): "Bring us a Qur’an other than this or change it." Say: "It is not for me to change it of myself; I only follow that which is revealed to me. I fear, if I were to disobey (Allāh) my Lord, the torment of a tremendous Day."

16 : 10

قُل لَّوۡ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَلَوۡتُهُۥ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَلَآ أَدۡرَىٰكُم بِهِۦۖ فَقَدۡ لَبِثۡتُ فِيكُمۡ عُمُرٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

16. Say (Muhammad), "If Allah had so willed I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. I have stayed a lifetime among you before it ^[6]. Do you not then understand?

[6]. I.e., forty years before receiving any revelation.

17 : 10

فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

17. Who is then more unjust than the one who invents a lie against Allāh or denies His signs? Surely the guilty will not prosper.

18 : 10

وَيَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمۡ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمۡ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِۚ قُلۡ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعۡلَمُ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ

18. They worship besides Allāh what can neither harm them nor benefit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allāh." Say: "Do you (presume to) inform Allāh of what He knows not in the heavens and the earth?" Glory be to Him, and exalted be He above all that which they associate (with Him in worship).

19 : 10

وَمَا كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ إِلَّآ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَٱخۡتَلَفُواْۚ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةٞ سَبَقَتۡ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ

19. And mankind were not but a single nation ^[7], then they differed. Had it not been a Word that went forth before from (Allāh) your Lord, the matter would have been immediately settled between them about that over which they differ.

[7]. United in one religion - Islamic Monotheism

20 : 10

وَيَقُولُونَ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۖ فَقُلۡ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡغَيۡبُ لِلَّهِ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ

20. And they say:"Why has no (other) miraculous sign been sent down to him from his Lord ^[8]?" Say: "Surely the Unseen belongs only to Allah". So wait, I am with you among those who wait."

[8]. To support his claim of being His messenger.

21 : 10

وَإِذَآ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحۡمَةٗ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتۡهُمۡ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكۡرٞ فِيٓ ءَايَاتِنَاۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَسۡرَعُ مَكۡرًاۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكۡتُبُونَ مَا تَمۡكُرُونَ

21. When We let mankind taste mercy after adversity has touched him, they have a plot against Our revelations. Say: "Allāh is the Most Swift in planning." Indeed, Our (angelic) messengers record all that you plot.

22 : 10

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ وَجَرَيۡنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٖ طَيِّبَةٖ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَآءَتۡهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٞ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ أُحِيطَ بِهِمۡ دَعَوُاْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنۡ أَنجَيۡتَنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

22. It is He (Allāh) Who enables you to travel on land and sea; until when you are in the ships and they sail on with them in a pleasant breeze and they rejoice in it, (suddenly) a violent wind comes, and the waves come to them from all sides, and they become certain that they are encompassed; they invoke Allāh, being sincere to Him in devotion (saying): "If You deliver us from this, we will certainly be of the grateful ones."

23 : 10

فَلَمَّآ أَنجَىٰهُمۡ إِذَا هُمۡ يَبۡغُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّۗ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغۡيُكُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۖ مَّتَٰعَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيۡنَا مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

23. But when He has delivered them, at once they rebel on the earth unjustly. O people, Your rebellion is against your own selves; a brief enjoyment of this worldly life, then to Us is your return, so We shall inform you of what you used to do.

24 : 10

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِمَّا يَأۡكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زُخۡرُفَهَا وَٱزَّيَّنَتۡ وَظَنَّ أَهۡلُهَآ أَنَّهُمۡ قَٰدِرُونَ عَلَيۡهَآ أَتَىٰهَآ أَمۡرُنَا لَيۡلًا أَوۡ نَهَارٗا فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا حَصِيدٗا كَأَن لَّمۡ تَغۡنَ بِٱلۡأَمۡسِۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

24. The example of 'this' worldly life is only like rain We send down from the sky, so it mixed thereby the plants of the earth of which men and cattle eat; until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain the signs in detail for the people who reflect.

25 : 10

وَٱللَّهُ يَدۡعُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٖ مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

25. Allāh invites (all) to the Home of Peace, and guides whomever He wills to a straight Path (i.e., Islam).

26 : 10

۞ لِّلَّذِينَ أَحۡسَنُواْ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ وَزِيَادَةٞۖ وَلَا يَرۡهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمۡ قَتَرٞ وَلَا ذِلَّةٌۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

26. For those who do good is the best (reward) and more ^[9]. Darkness shall not cover their faces nor humiliation. These are the people of Paradise, they will abide therein forever.

[9]. The best reward that's the Paradise, and more is seeing the Honorable Face of Allāh. In that joy-filled moment when we see Allāh and know Him as He knows each of us, the Muslims. He will infuse us with the faith, hope, and love we need to stand firm, until we gaze at our Loving and Living God - Allāh. He is exalted, forever exalted, the King is the incomparable Highest in all His Attributes and we will praise Him. Allāh is our Lord and forever His truth shall reign. Heaven and earth rejoice in His great Name - Allāh -.

27 : 10

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَسَبُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ جَزَآءُ سَيِّئَةِۭ بِمِثۡلِهَا وَتَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۖ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ عَاصِمٖۖ كَأَنَّمَآ أُغۡشِيَتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ قِطَعٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مُظۡلِمًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

27. As for those who commit evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is the like of it. Humiliation will cover them - they will have none to protect them from Allāh - as if their faces had been covered with patches of the darkest night. These are the occupants of the Hellfire. They will abide therein forever.

28 : 10

وَيَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِيعٗا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُواْ مَكَانَكُمۡ أَنتُمۡ وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمۡۚ فَزَيَّلۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَآؤُهُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ إِيَّانَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

28. And the Day when We gather them all together, then We will say to those who associate others (with Allah in worship, stay in) your place, you and your associate-gods." Then We will separate between them, and their associate-gods will say: "It was not us that you worshipped!

29 : 10

فَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدَۢا بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ إِن كُنَّا عَنۡ عِبَادَتِكُمۡ لَغَٰفِلِينَ

29. So Allāh is Sufficient as a Witness between us and you that we were totally unaware of your worship of us.

30 : 10

هُنَالِكَ تَبۡلُواْ كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ مَّآ أَسۡلَفَتۡۚ وَرُدُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوۡلَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡحَقِّۖ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ

30. There, every soul will experience what it did previously. And they will be brought back to Allāh, their True Patron, and what they invented (of false gods) will desert them.

31 : 10

قُلۡ مَن يَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمَّن يَمۡلِكُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ وَمَن يُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَيَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَيِّتِ وَيُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَيِّ وَمَن يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ ٱللَّهُۚ فَقُلۡ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

31. Say, "Who provides for you from heaven and earth? Or Who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead, and the dead out of the living, and who arranges (every) matter? They will say: "Allāh." Say, then: "Will you not then guard yourselves against evil?"

32 : 10

فَذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَمَاذَا بَعۡدَ ٱلۡحَقِّ إِلَّا ٱلضَّلَٰلُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصۡرَفُونَ

32. That is Allāh - your true Lord. So what is after the Truth except error? How are you then turned away?

33 : 10

كَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

33. Thus does the Word of your Lord (Allāh) prove true against those who defiantly disobeyed - that they will not believe.

34 : 10

قُلۡ هَلۡ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ

34. Ask (them): "Is there any of your associate-gods (idols) begins creation, (cause it to die), and then bring it back (to life again)?" Say: "Allāh begins creation and brings it back." How are you then turned away?

35 : 10

قُلۡ هَلۡ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَهۡدِيٓ إِلَى ٱلۡحَقِّۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَهۡدِي لِلۡحَقِّۗ أَفَمَن يَهۡدِيٓ إِلَى ٱلۡحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَن يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّن لَّا يَهِدِّيٓ إِلَّآ أَن يُهۡدَىٰۖ فَمَا لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ

35. Say, "Are there any of your associate-gods who guide you to the Truth? Say: "Allāh guides to the truth." Is He then Who guides to the Truth more worthy to be followed, or he who guides not unless he is guided? What is wrong with you? How do you judge (so unjustly)?

36 : 10

وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ إِلَّا ظَنًّاۚ إِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَفۡعَلُونَ

36. And most of them follow nothing but mere assumptions. Indeed, assumptions avail nothing against the Truth at all. Allāh is certainly All-Knowing of all that they do.

37 : 10

وَمَا كَانَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ أَن يُفۡتَرَىٰ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِن تَصۡدِيقَ ٱلَّذِي بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَتَفۡصِيلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

37. And it was not (possible) for this Qur'an to be produced by other than Allah , but rather it is a confirmation of what was before it (of Divine Scriptures) and provides a fully detailed explanation of (all the verdicts of) the Book; there is no doubt about it, (it is) from (Allāh) the Lord of the worlds.

38 : 10

أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ فَأۡتُواْ بِسُورَةٖ مِّثۡلِهِۦ وَٱدۡعُواْ مَنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

38. Or do they say: "He (Muhammad) has invented it (this Qur’an)?" Say: "Then bring one Chapter like it, and call upon whomever you can other than Allāh (for help), if what you say is true."

39 : 10

بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يُحِيطُواْ بِعِلۡمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَأۡتِهِمۡ تَأۡوِيلُهُۥۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

39. Rather, they have denied that of which they did not encompass the knowledge and whose fulfillment has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny (the Truth). See then how was the end of the unjust.

40 : 10

وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يُؤۡمِنُ بِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن لَّا يُؤۡمِنُ بِهِۦۚ وَرَبُّكَ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

40. And of them is he who believes in it (the Qur’an), and of them is he who does not believe in it, and your Lord knows best about the corrupters.

41 : 10

وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّي عَمَلِي وَلَكُمۡ عَمَلُكُمۡۖ أَنتُم بَرِيٓـُٔونَ مِمَّآ أَعۡمَلُ وَأَنَا۠ بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ

41. And if they deny you (Muhammad), say: "My deeds are for me and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated of what I do, and I am disassociated of what you do."

42 : 10

وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَسۡتَمِعُونَ إِلَيۡكَۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ

42. And among them are those who (pretend to) listen to you, but can you make the deaf to hear, even though they will not use reason?

43 : 10

وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَنظُرُ إِلَيۡكَۚ أَفَأَنتَ تَهۡدِي ٱلۡعُمۡيَ وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ لَا يُبۡصِرُونَ

43. And among them are those who (pretend to) look at you, but can you guide the blind, even though they do not (attempt to) see?

44 : 10

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظۡلِمُ ٱلنَّاسَ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ أَنفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُونَ

44. Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people anything at all ^[10], but it is the people who are wronging themselves.

[10]. As He has already sent this Qur’an as a sign of His justice and mercy.

45 : 10

وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ كَأَن لَّمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا سَاعَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلنَّهَارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ قَدۡ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهۡتَدِينَ

45. And the Day when He will gather them (after Resurrection) it will seem to them as though they had not stayed (in this world) but an hour of the day, and they will know each other. Lost indeed will be those who denied the Meeting with Allāh, for they were not (rightly) guided.

46 : 10

وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي نَعِدُهُمۡ أَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيۡنَا مَرۡجِعُهُمۡ ثُمَّ ٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ

46.And whether We show you 'Muhammad' some of what We threaten them with, or take you in death (before that) ^[11], to Us is their return. Then Allāh is a Witness to (all) that they do.

[11]. They will not be able to escape Our Punishment.

47 : 10

وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٖ رَّسُولٞۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ رَسُولُهُمۡ قُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ

47. And for every nation there is a Messenger. When their Messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged ^[12].

[12]. By sending the Prophet Muhammad, Truth stands out clear from error: Those who believe him are saved but those who deny him are doomed.

48 : 10

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

48. And they say: "When will this promise ^[13] come to pass, if you speak the truth?"

[13]. I.e., their due punishment in this life or the coming of the Hour of Doom.

49 : 10

قُل لَّآ أَمۡلِكُ لِنَفۡسِي ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعًا إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌۚ إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ سَاعَةٗ وَلَا يَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَ

49. Say (O Muhammad): "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allāh wills." For every nation is a term. When their term comes, they cannot delay it for a moment, nor can they advance it.

50 : 10

قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَتَىٰكُمۡ عَذَابُهُۥ بَيَٰتًا أَوۡ نَهَارٗا مَّاذَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُ مِنۡهُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

50. Say: "Have you considered: if His torment should come to you at night or day-time. What part of it would the criminals wish to hasten?"

51 : 10

أَثُمَّ إِذَا مَا وَقَعَ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦٓۚ ءَآلۡـَٰٔنَ وَقَدۡ كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

51. Then is it that when it has befallen, that you will believe in it? Now? And already you were thereby seeking to hasten on!"

52 : 10

ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ هَلۡ تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡسِبُونَ

52. Then it will be said to those who did wrong: "Taste the abiding torment; are you being recompensed except for what you used to earn (of sins)?"

53 : 10

۞ وَيَسۡتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَۖ قُلۡ إِي وَرَبِّيٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞۖ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعۡجِزِينَ

53. They ask you: "Is it true ^[14]?" Say: "Yes, By my Lord (Allāh). It is definitely true, and you cannot escape."

[14] I.e., the Day of Resurrection and Judgement and reward therein.

54 : 10

وَلَوۡ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفۡسٖ ظَلَمَتۡ مَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَٱفۡتَدَتۡ بِهِۦۗ وَأَسَرُّواْ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيۡنَهُم بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ

54. And if every soul that has wronged ^[15], had all that is in the earth, it would offer it for ransom, and they will conceal (their) remorse within them when they see the torment, and it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged.

[15]. By worshiping others besides Allāh and dying as such without repenting.

55 : 10

أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

55. Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, Allah’s Promise is true, but most of them do not know ^[16].

[16]. Allāh Almighty rules Supreme and none can stop Him from bringing His punishment on the unbelievers into reality; but most people are oblivious to this and therefore doubt it.

56 : 10

هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ

56. It is He who gives life and causes death, and to Him you shall (all) be returned.

57 : 10

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُم مَّوۡعِظَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَشِفَآءٞ لِّمَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٞ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

57. O people, there has come to you an admonition from (Allāh) your Lord and a healing for what is in the chests and a guidance and a mercy for the believers.

58 : 10

قُلۡ بِفَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَفۡرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُونَ

58. Say: "In the Bounty of Allāh (i.e., the Islamic Faith) and in His mercy (the Qur’an) - in that let them rejoice ^[17]; it is better than all (the worldly pleasures and wealth) that they amass ^[18]."

[17]. The source of true and lasting joy is from Allāh and by following His last and final messenger, prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It enables us to shine Allah’s light as we strive to bring joy to others, a joy that offers hope and strength to face trials.
18. Believers always need to remember Allah’s great bounty by which He guided them to Islam and gave them the gift of the Qur’an to which any worldly gain is not even remotely comparable. When the righteous prosper the city rejoices. When those who truly live by Islamic faith begin to influence a community, then this signals good news because it means Allah’s justice is taking hold. Greed diminishes. The poor find support. The oppressed are protected. Whenever Islam flourishes, then there’s joy and blessing in the city.

59 : 10

قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ فَجَعَلۡتُم مِّنۡهُ حَرَامٗا وَحَلَٰلٗا قُلۡ ءَآللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمۡۖ أَمۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَفۡتَرُونَ

59. Say (O Muhammad, to those pagans): "Have you considered what Allāh has sent down for you of provision, so you make (a part) of it unlawful and (a part) lawful." Say: "Has Allāh permitted you to do so, or do you invent lies about Allāh?"

60 : 10

وَمَا ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ

60. What will be the supposition of those who invent lies about Allāh on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, Allāh is Bountiful towards the people, but most of them do not give thanks.

61 : 10

وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأۡنٖ وَمَا تَتۡلُواْ مِنۡهُ مِن قُرۡءَانٖ وَلَا تَعۡمَلُونَ مِنۡ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيۡكُمۡ شُهُودًا إِذۡ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِۚ وَمَا يَعۡزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثۡقَالِ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَآ أَصۡغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكۡبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٍ

61.In whatever matter you (Prophet) may be engaged in, or whichever portion of the Qur’an you may be reciting, and whatever you (people) are doing of work, but We are Witnesses over you when you enter to it. Not ˹even˺ an atom’s weight on earth or in heaven escapes from your Lord, nor any thing less than that nor greater, but it is all in a clear Record.

62 : 10

أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوۡلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ

62. Unquestionably, the allies of Allāh shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve ^[19];

[19]. In the horrors of the Day of Resurrection that await them, nor shall they grieve over the worldly fortunes they have missed. So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and Allah knows that you need them. But seek first His Kingdom by keeping to His Commandments and avoiding evil, and all these things will be given to you as well through your efforts.

63 : 10

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَكَانُواْ يَتَّقُونَ

63. Those who believe and are ever mindful of Allāh -

64 : 10

لَهُمُ ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَفِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ لَا تَبۡدِيلَ لِكَلِمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

64. For them is good news in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. There is no changing in the Words of Allāh. That is the supreme triumph.

65 : 10

وَلَا يَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡۘ إِنَّ ٱلۡعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًاۚ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

65. And let not their words grieve you. Indeed, all Honor 'and Power' belong to Allāh altogether. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

66 : 10

أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُرَكَآءَۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنۡ هُمۡ إِلَّا يَخۡرُصُونَ

66. Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And they do not follow these who invoke other than Allāh, what so-called partners; they follow only conjecture, and they only guess.

67 : 10

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ لِتَسۡكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًاۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَسۡمَعُونَ

67. It is He (Allāh) Who has made for you the night that you may rest therein, and the day bright. Indeed, there are Signs in this for a people who listen.

68 : 10

قَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدٗاۗ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥۖ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّۖ لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنۡ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭ بِهَٰذَآۚ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

68. They say: "Allāh has taken for Himself a son." Glory be to Him! He is the Rich (free of all needs): To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority for this (claim). Do you say against Allāh what you do not know?

69 : 10

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفۡتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ لَا يُفۡلِحُونَ

69. Say: " Indeed, those who invent a lie against Allāh will not succeed and prosper."

70 : 10

مَتَٰعٞ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيۡنَا مَرۡجِعُهُمۡ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡفُرُونَ

70. (It is only) a fleeting enjoyment in this world, then to Us will be their 'final' return; then We shall make them taste the severe punishment, for their (persistent) disbelief (of the Truth).

71 : 10

۞ وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيۡكُم مَّقَامِي وَتَذۡكِيرِي بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ فَأَجۡمِعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَكُمۡ وَشُرَكَآءَكُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنۡ أَمۡرُكُمۡ عَلَيۡكُمۡ غُمَّةٗ ثُمَّ ٱقۡضُوٓاْ إِلَيَّ وَلَا تُنظِرُونِ

71. Recite to them (O Muhammad) the story of Noah, when he said to his people: "O my people, if my station and my reminding you of the revelations of Allāh is burdensome to you - then I have put my trust in Allāh . So gather your decision together, along with your associate-gods. Then let not your plan be ambiguous to you.Then carry it out against me, and give me no respite.

72 : 10

فَإِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ فَمَا سَأَلۡتُكُم مِّنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

72. If you then turn away, I have not asked you for any reward. My reward is only with Allāh, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims ^[20].

[20] who submit to the Will of God.

73 : 10

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ خَلَٰٓئِفَ وَأَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ

73. Yet they denied him, so We delivered him and those who were with him in the Ark, and We made them successors, while We drowned those who rejected Our revelations. Then look at how was the end of those who had been warned.

74 : 10

ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِمۡ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤۡمِنُواْ بِمَا كَذَّبُواْ بِهِۦ مِن قَبۡلُۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطۡبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُعۡتَدِينَ

74. Then after him We sent messengers to their people, and they came to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in what they had already denied before. Thus We seal over the hearts of the transgressors.

75 : 10

ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا مُّجۡرِمِينَ

75. Then after them, We sent Moses and Aaron with Our signs to Pharaoh and his council, but they acted arrogantly, for they were a guilty people.

76 : 10

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِنۡ عِندِنَا قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ

76. But when the Truth came to them from Us, they said: "Indeed, This is obvious magic."

77 : 10

قَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَتَقُولُونَ لِلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَكُمۡۖ أَسِحۡرٌ هَٰذَا وَلَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلسَّٰحِرُونَ

77. Moses said: "Do you say (thus) of the Truth when it has come to you? Is it magic? But magicians will not prosper".

78 : 10

قَالُوٓاْ أَجِئۡتَنَا لِتَلۡفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ ءَابَآءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا ٱلۡكِبۡرِيَآءُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا نَحۡنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ

78. They said: "Have you come to us to turn us away from what we found our fathers following, so (that) greatness in the land may belong to you two (Moses and Aaron)? But we are not believers in you." 

79 : 10

وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ٱئۡتُونِي بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٖ

79. And Pharaoh said: "Bring me every skillful magician."

80 : 10

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلۡقُواْ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ

80. When the magicians came, Moses said to them:"Throw down whatever you are going to throw."

81 : 10

فَلَمَّآ أَلۡقَوۡاْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئۡتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحۡرُۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبۡطِلُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصۡلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

81. So when they had thrown, Moses said: "What you have brought is (only the) magic. Allāh will surely nullify it. for Allāh does not set right the work of the corrupters."

82 : 10

وَيُحِقُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

82. And Allāh establishes the Truth by His Words, even though the criminals detest it.

83 : 10

فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٞ مِّن قَوۡمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوۡفٖ مِّن فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِيْهِمۡ أَن يَفۡتِنَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّ فِرۡعَوۡنَ لَعَالٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

83. But none believed in Moses except a few offspring (youths) from his people out of fear of Pharaoh and their own chiefs, lest he persecute them. Indeed, Pharaoh was haughty in the land, and he was indeed among the transgressors.

84 : 10

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِن كُنتُمۡ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ فَعَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلُوٓاْ إِن كُنتُم مُّسۡلِمِينَ

84. Moses said: "O my people, if you truly believe in Allāh, then put your trust in Him alone ^[21] if you are Muslims (submitters to God) ^[22].

[21]. Trust Allāh. He is good, and so are His plans.
[22]. I.e., if you have truly surrendered yourselves to Him.

85 : 10

فَقَالُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلۡنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

85. So they said: "Upon Allāh alone do we rely, our Lord, do not make us a target for the persecution of the wrongdoing people,

86 : 10

وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحۡمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

86. And save us, by Your mercy, from the disbelieving people."

87 : 10

وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوۡمِكُمَا بِمِصۡرَ بُيُوتٗا وَٱجۡعَلُواْ بُيُوتَكُمۡ قِبۡلَةٗ وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

87. And We revealed to Moses and his brother (saying): "Appoint houses for your people in Egypt, and make your houses places of worship, and establish the prayer. And give glad tidings to the believers."

88 : 10

وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ ءَاتَيۡتَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَأَهُۥ زِينَةٗ وَأَمۡوَٰلٗا فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِكَۖ رَبَّنَا ٱطۡمِسۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَٱشۡدُدۡ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُواْ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

88. And Moses said: "Our Lord, You have given to Pharaoh and his chiefs splendor and wealth in the life of this world, our Lord, that they may lead (people) astray from Your 'right' path. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and hurden their hearts, so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment.

89 : 10

قَالَ قَدۡ أُجِيبَت دَّعۡوَتُكُمَا فَٱسۡتَقِيمَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعَآنِّ سَبِيلَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ

89. (Allāh) said: "The prayer of you both (i.e., Moses and Aaron) has been answered, so remain steadfast 'on the right course', and do not follow the way of those who do not know.",

90 : 10

۞ وَجَٰوَزۡنَا بِبَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُمۡ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ بَغۡيٗا وَعَدۡوًاۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَدۡرَكَهُ ٱلۡغَرَقُ قَالَ ءَامَنتُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِيٓ ءَامَنَتۡ بِهِۦ بَنُوٓاْ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

90. And We brought the children of Israel across the sea, then Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and hostility; until when drowning overtook him, (Pharaoh) said: "I believe that there is no god (worthy of worship) except Him (Allāh) in Whom the children of Israel believe, and I am one of the Muslims."

91 : 10

ءَآلۡـَٰٔنَ وَقَدۡ عَصَيۡتَ قَبۡلُ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

91. [It was said to him] Now? But you disobeyed before, and you were of the corrupters.

92 : 10

فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنۡ خَلۡفَكَ ءَايَةٗۚ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا لَغَٰفِلُونَ

92. Today We will deliver your (dead) body, so that you may be a sign to those who come after you, yet many people indeed remain heedless of Our signs.

93 : 10

وَلَقَدۡ بَوَّأۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدۡقٖ وَرَزَقۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ فَمَا ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡعِلۡمُۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقۡضِي بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ

93. And indeed We settled the children of Israel in a blessed dwelling-place ^[21], and We provided them with good things ^[22]; and they did not differ until knowledge had come to them ^[23]. Surely your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning 'all' that in which they used to differ.

[21]. Levant and Egypt.
[22]. As We shaded you with clouds and sent down to you manna and quails.
[23]. I.e., After the Torah came to them.

94 : 10

فَإِن كُنتَ فِي شَكّٖ مِّمَّآ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ فَسۡـَٔلِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقۡرَءُونَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبۡلِكَۚ لَقَدۡ جَآءَكَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُمۡتَرِينَ

94. So if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to you ^[24], then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you Indeed, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.

[24]. And that your name Muhammad is written in the Bible.

95 : 10

وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ

95. And never be among those who deny the signs of Allāh, lest you be among the losers.

96 : 10

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّتۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

96. Indeed, those upon whom the word of your Lord has come into effect will never  believe,

97 : 10

وَلَوۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ كُلُّ ءَايَةٍ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

97. Even if every sign came to them, 'they would not believe' until they see the painful punishment.

98 : 10

فَلَوۡلَا كَانَتۡ قَرۡيَةٌ ءَامَنَتۡ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوۡمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُواْ كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخِزۡيِ فِي ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينٖ

98. So why was there no town that believed and benefited from its faith except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the Punishment of disgrace in this worldly life, and allowed them enjoyment for a time.

99 : 10

وَلَوۡ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَأٓمَنَ مَن فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كُلُّهُمۡ جَمِيعًاۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُكۡرِهُ ٱلنَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

99. Had 'Allāh' your Lord willed, all 'people' on earth would have believed, all of them. Will you then force people till they become believers?

100 : 10

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفۡسٍ أَن تُؤۡمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَيَجۡعَلُ ٱلرِّجۡسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡقِلُونَ

100. And no soul can believe except by Allah’s Permission; And He brings defilement upon those who (do) not use (their) reason.

101 : 10

قُلِ ٱنظُرُواْ مَاذَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَمَا تُغۡنِي ٱلۡأٓيَٰتُ وَٱلنُّذُرُ عَن قَوۡمٖ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

101. Say: "Look at what is in the heavens and the earth; but Signs and warnings will not avail a people who do not believe."

102 : 10

فَهَلۡ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلَّا مِثۡلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوۡاْ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ قُلۡ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ

102. Are they then waiting for anything except the fate of those who passed away before them? Say: "Then wait, indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

103 : 10

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي رُسُلَنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۚ كَذَٰلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيۡنَا نُنجِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

103. Then We will save Our messengers and those who believe. Thus, it is binding on us: We will deliver the believers..

104 : 10

قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ مِّن دِينِي فَلَآ أَعۡبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنۡ أَعۡبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمۡۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

104. Say, (O Muhammad): 'O people, if you doubt my religion, then (know that) I do not worship what you worship besides Allāh, but I worship Allāh alone, Who causes you to die, and I am commanded to be among the believers.

105 : 10

وَأَنۡ أَقِمۡ وَجۡهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفٗا وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

105. So set your face towards the upright religion, inclining to truth, and never be among the pagans."

106 : 10

وَلَا تَدۡعُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَۖ فَإِن فَعَلۡتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذٗا مِّنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

106. And do not call upon, besides Allāh, that which can neither benefit you nor harm you, for if you do, then indeed you will be among the wrongdoers.

107 : 10

وَإِن يَمۡسَسۡكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرّٖ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَإِن يُرِدۡكَ بِخَيۡرٖ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضۡلِهِۦۚ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

107. If Allāh touches you with harm, none can remove it but Him ^[25]; and if He intends good for you, none can withhold His bounty. He grants it to whom He wills of His servants. And He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

[25]. A group of people came to Muhammad, the Messenger of God (may peace and blessings be upon him). He accepted the pledge of allegiance of nine and did not accept it from one. They said: O Messenger of God, you accepted the pledge of nine but not of this one. He said: "He is wearing an amulet." So, he put his hand in and cut it, and thus, accepted his pledge and the Prophet said: "Whoever hangs an amulet has committed polytheism." Thus Making amulets, crosses, buying them, wearing them or weaving them into garments or putting them on walls or cars, and so on also come under the heading of prohibited idolatrous actions.

108 : 10

قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدۡ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمۡۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيۡهَاۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيۡكُم بِوَكِيلٖ

108. Say, (O Muhammad): 'O people, the Truth has come to you from your Lord. Whoever follows guidance, it is only for the benefit of his own soul; and whoever strays, it is only against it; and I am not a guardian over you."

109 : 10

وَٱتَّبِعۡ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيۡكَ وَٱصۡبِرۡ حَتَّىٰ يَحۡكُمَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ

109. And follow what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad] and be patient until Allāh gives His Judgment, for He is the Best of judges.
