Al-A‘lā
1
:
87
سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى
1. Glorify the Name of your Lord (Allāh), the Most High [1].
[1]. Give thanks to Him and praise His Name. For Allāh is good and His love and mercy lasts forever.
التفاسير:
2
:
87
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
2. He who created and proportioned,
التفاسير:
3
:
87
وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
3. And (He) Who determined; then He guided.
التفاسير:
4
:
87
وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ
4. He Who brings out the (green) pasture,
التفاسير:
5
:
87
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ
5. Then makes it black stubble,
التفاسير:
6
:
87
سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
6. We will have you recite (the Qur’an) then you will not forget,
التفاسير:
7
:
87
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ
7. Excep for what Allāh wills. He surely knows what is manifest and what is hidden.
التفاسير:
8
:
87
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ
8. And We will ease you (O Prophet) toward ease [2].
[2]. The easy Way of Islam i.e., the doing of righteous deeds that lead to Paradise.
التفاسير:
9
:
87
فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ
9. So remind, if the reminding benefits.
التفاسير:
10
:
87
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ
10. He will remember he who fears (Allāh),
التفاسير:
11
:
87
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى
11. And will avoid it the most wretched one.
التفاسير:
12
:
87
ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
12. He who will (enter and) burn in the greatest Fire;
التفاسير:
13
:
87
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ
13. Then he will neither die therein nor live.
التفاسير:
14
:
87
قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
14. Prosperous is he who purifies himself (from evil),
التفاسير:
15
:
87
وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
15. And remembers the Name of his Lord (Allāh) so prays [3].
[3]. The five compulsory prayers and the additional prayers.
التفاسير:
16
:
87
بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
16. Rather you prefer the life of this world,
التفاسير:
17
:
87
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ
17. And the Hereafter is far better and more enduring.

18
:
87
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
18. This is surely (mentioned) in the former Scrolls,

87
صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
19. The scriptures of Abraham and Moses [4].
[4]. The ten scrolls of Abraham and the Torah of Moses.
