Translation of the meanings Surah: ‘Abasa   Ayah:

‘ABASA

Purposes of the Surah:
تذكير الكافرين المستغنين عن ربهم ببراهين البعث.
Elle expose la véritable nature de la prédication coranique, et souligne l’honneur acquis par celui qui en tire profit ainsi que la bassesse de celui qui s’en détourne.

Ayah: 1

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
Le Messager s’est renfrogné et détourné
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

أَن جَآءَهُ ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
lorsque ‘AbduLlâh ibn `Umm Maktûm, qui était aveugle, vint le consulter alors qu’il était occupé à prêcher de notoires polythéistes, dans l’espoir qu’ils se convertissent.

Ayah: 3

وَمَا يُدۡرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ
Ô Messager, il se peut que cet aveugle cherche à se purifier de ses péchés

Ayah: 4

أَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰٓ
ou à tirer profit de tes exhortations.

Ayah: 5

أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ
Celui qui prétend se suffire à lui-même par les richesses qu’il possède et se refuse à croire en ce que tu apportes,

Ayah: 6

فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ
tu vas avec empressement à sa rencontre

Ayah: 7

وَمَا عَلَيۡكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ
alors qu’il t’importe peu qu’il ne se purifie pas de ses péchés par son repentir à Allah.

Ayah: 8

وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسۡعَىٰ
Quant à celui qui vient à toi avec empressement

وَهُوَ يَخۡشَىٰ
tout en craignant son Seigneur,

Ayah: 10

فَأَنتَ عَنۡهُ تَلَهَّىٰ
tu le délaisses au profit de polythéistes notoires.

Ayah: 11

كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذۡكِرَةٞ
Tu ne dois pas agir ainsi car l’exhortation et le rappel doivent bénéficier à ceux qui sont volontaires.

Ayah: 12

فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ
Ainsi, quiconque veut évoquer Allah, qu’il L’évoque et tire profit de ce qui est contenu dans ce Coran.

Ayah: 13

فِي صُحُفٖ مُّكَرَّمَةٖ
En effet, ce Coran est consigné dans des feuillets nobles pour les anges,

Ayah: 14

مَّرۡفُوعَةٖ مُّطَهَّرَةِۭ
gardés dans un lieu élevé à l’abri des souillures et des impuretés,

Ayah: 15

بِأَيۡدِي سَفَرَةٖ
entre les mains de messagers issus des anges,

Ayah: 16

كِرَامِۭ بَرَرَةٖ
nobles pour leur Seigneur et accomplissant de nombreux actes d’obéissance.

Ayah: 17

قُتِلَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَآ أَكۡفَرَهُۥ
Que l’être humain mécréant soit maudit pour sa grande mécréance!

Ayah: 18

مِنۡ أَيِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ
De quoi Allah l’a-t-il créé pour qu’il se conduise orgueilleusement sur Terre et qu’il mécroie en Lui?

Ayah: 19

مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ
Il le créa d’une petite goutte de sperme puis Il détermina les étapes de sa création.

Ayah: 20

ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ
Ensuite, Il lui facilita la sortie du ventre de sa mère après toutes ces étapes.

Ayah: 21

ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقۡبَرَهُۥ
Puis une fois que la vie qu’Il lui a déterminée s'écoule, Il le fait mourir et le met dans une tombe où il demeure jusqu’à ce qu’il soit ressuscité.

Ayah: 22

ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ
Puis lorsqu’Il le veut, Il le ressuscite afin de lui demander des comptes et de le rétribuer.

Ayah: 23

كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقۡضِ مَآ أَمَرَهُۥ
Ce que prétend ce mécréant, à savoir qu’il s’est acquitté de ce qu’il doit à son Seigneur, est faux car il n’a pas rempli les obligations qu’Allah lui a imposées.

Ayah: 24

فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِۦٓ
Que l’être humain mécréant regarde la nourriture qu’il mange et réfléchisse d’où elle provient.

Ayah: 25

أَنَّا صَبَبۡنَا ٱلۡمَآءَ صَبّٗا
Son origine est l’eau de la pluie qui descend avec abondance du Ciel.

ثُمَّ شَقَقۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ شَقّٗا
Puis Nous fendons la Terre en prévision de la sortie des plantes

Ayah: 27

فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا حَبّٗا
et y faisons pousser des grains, comme le blé, le maïs et d’autres variété,

وَعِنَبٗا وَقَضۡبٗا
ainsi que des vignes et du fourrage frais dont ils nourrissent leurs bêtes.

Ayah: 29

وَزَيۡتُونٗا وَنَخۡلٗا
Nous y faisons également pousser des oliviers, des palmiers,

Ayah: 30

وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلۡبٗا
des vergers luxuriants,

Ayah: 31

وَفَٰكِهَةٗ وَأَبّٗا
des arbres fruitiers ainsi que des plantes que broutent vos bêtes.

Ayah: 32

مَّتَٰعٗا لَّكُمۡ وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ
Tout ceci représente des bienfaits pour vous et pour vos bêtes.

Ayah: 33

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ
Lorsque retentira le Fracas (`aş-şâkhkhatu(şâkhkhah)), le bruit qui assourdira les oreilles. Il s’agit du second souffle dans la Trompe.

Ayah: 34

يَوۡمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مِنۡ أَخِيهِ
Ce Jour-là, l’être humain fuira son frère,

وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ
sa mère et son père,

Ayah: 36

وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ
ainsi que son épouse et ses enfants,

Ayah: 37

لِكُلِّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ شَأۡنٞ يُغۡنِيهِ
car chacun d’eux sera préoccupa par son propre sort tellement la terreur sera grande ce Jour-là.

Ayah: 38

وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ مُّسۡفِرَةٞ
Les visages des bienheureux seront rayonnants,

Ayah: 39

ضَاحِكَةٞ مُّسۡتَبۡشِرَةٞ
riants et réjouis par la miséricorde que leur Seigneur leur réserve.

وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَلَيۡهَا غَبَرَةٞ
Tandis que les visages des damnés seront recouverts de poussière

Benefits of the verses in this page:
• عتاب الله نبيَّه في شأن عبد الله بن أم مكتوم دل على أن القرآن من عند الله.
Le fait qu’Allah ait adressé à Son Prophète des reproches au sujet de ‘AbduLlâh ibn `Umm Maktûm démontre que le Coran provient d’Allah.
• الاهتمام بطالب العلم والمُسْتَرْشِد.
L’Islam prend soin de celui qui étudie la science et recherche à apprendre.
• شدة أهوال يوم القيامة حيث لا ينشغل المرء إلا بنفسه، حتى الأنبياء يقولون: نفسي نفسي.
Les évènements du Jour de la Résurrection seront si terrifiants que l’être humain ne se préoccupera que de lui-même. Même les prophètes s’exclameront: Mon âme! Mon âme !

Ayah: 41

تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ
et ténébreux.

Ayah: 42

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡكَفَرَةُ ٱلۡفَجَرَةُ
Ceux qui ont ces caractéristiques auront réuni la mécréance et le libertinage.

Benefits of the verses in this page:
• حَشْر المرء مع من يماثله في الخير أو الشرّ.
L’être humain sera rassemblé avec ceux qui lui ressemblent, que ce soit en bien ou en mal.
• إذا كانت الموءُودة تُسأل فما بالك بالوائد؟ وهذا دليل على عظم الموقف.
Si la fillette enterrée vivante sera questionnée, qu’en sera-t-il alors de son bourreau? Ceci donne une indication sur la gravité de la situation le Jour de la Résurrection.
• مشيئة العبد تابعة لمشيئة الله.
