Ash-Shams

Ayah: 1

وَٱلشَّمۡسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا
Per il sole e il suo apparire,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 2

وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا
e la luna quando lo segue,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 3

وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا
e il giorno quando lo fa brillare,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 4

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَغۡشَىٰهَا
e la notte quando lo oscura,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 5

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا
e il cielo e Colui che l’ha eretto,
Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

Ayah: 6

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا
e la terra e Colui che l’ha stesa,

Ayah: 7

وَنَفۡسٖ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا
e l’anima e come l’ha modellata,

Ayah: 8

فَأَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقۡوَىٰهَا
ispirandole la trasgressione e il timore:

Ayah: 9

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا
avrà trionfato chi l’ha purificata

Ayah: 10

وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا
e avrà perso chi l’ha nascosta!

Ayah: 11

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِطَغۡوَىٰهَآ
La gente di Thamud negò con disprezzo,

Ayah: 12

إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشۡقَىٰهَا
quando il peggiore di loro trasgredì.

Ayah: 13

فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقۡيَٰهَا
E il Messaggero di Allāh disse loro: «(Rispettate) La Cammella di Allāh e il suo turno di abbeveraggio».

Ayah: 14

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوَّىٰهَا
Ma lo trattarono da bugiardo e la sgozzarono, e il loro Dio li strinse completamente con la Sua punizione per questo peccato,

Ayah: 15

وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقۡبَٰهَا
senza preoccuparsi della loro fine.
