Ayah: 1

ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Лихо!

Ayah: 2

مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
Що ж таке лихо?

Ayah: 3

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ
І звідки знати тобі, що таке лихо?

Ayah: 4

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ
Це — День, коли люди розсіються, наче метелики.

Ayah: 5

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ
А гори будуть схожі на вовну розчесану.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Тоді той, чия чаша на терезах буде важкою –

فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ
отримає він життя, сповнене задоволення.

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
А той, чия чаша на терезах буде легкою –

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ
притулком його буде прірва.

Ayah: 10

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ
А звідки знати тобі, що це таке?

نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ
Це — вогонь палаючий.
