67 : 17

وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ ٱلضُّرُّ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدۡعُونَ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُۖ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡبَرِّ أَعۡرَضۡتُمۡۚ وَكَانَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ كَفُورًا

67. When adversity touches you at sea, all those you call upon vanish from you except Him; but when He [Allāh] delivers you safely to land, you turn away. [Indeed], man is ever ungrateful. info

68 : 17

أَفَأَمِنتُمۡ أَن يَخۡسِفَ بِكُمۡ جَانِبَ ٱلۡبَرِّ أَوۡ يُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ حَاصِبٗا ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُواْ لَكُمۡ وَكِيلًا

68. Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a side of the land to swallow you, or send against you a storm of stones? Then you will find for yourselves no protector or guardian. info

69 : 17

أَمۡ أَمِنتُمۡ أَن يُعِيدَكُمۡ فِيهِ تَارَةً أُخۡرَىٰ فَيُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ قَاصِفٗا مِّنَ ٱلرِّيحِ فَيُغۡرِقَكُم بِمَا كَفَرۡتُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُواْ لَكُمۡ عَلَيۡنَا بِهِۦ تَبِيعٗا

69. Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back into the sea once again, and then unleash upon you a raging storm of wind and drown you for your ingratitude? Then you will find none to help you against us. info

70 : 17

۞ وَلَقَدۡ كَرَّمۡنَا بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَرَزَقۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٖ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَا تَفۡضِيلٗا

70. We have certainly honored the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea [39], provided them with good and pure sustenance, and preferred them above many of those We have created—with [a definite and] special preference. info

[39]. And by air too, through the forms of transport We have enabled them to build and use by Our grace.

71 : 17

يَوۡمَ نَدۡعُواْ كُلَّ أُنَاسِۭ بِإِمَٰمِهِمۡۖ فَمَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يَقۡرَءُونَ كِتَٰبَهُمۡ وَلَا يُظۡلَمُونَ فَتِيلٗا

71. On the Day when We will call every people with their leader, then whoever is given his record [of deeds] in his right hand — then those will read their record [with joy], and they will not be wronged in the least, not even by the thread of a date-stone. info

72 : 17

وَمَن كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِۦٓ أَعۡمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلٗا

72. Whoever is blind [to the truth] in this [world] will be blind in the Hereafter as well, and [even] further astray from the [right] way. info

73 : 17

وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَفۡتِنُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ لِتَفۡتَرِيَ عَلَيۡنَا غَيۡرَهُۥۖ وَإِذٗا لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلٗا

73. And indeed, they were about to tempt you, [O Muhammad], away from what We have revealed to you, so that you might invent something else against Us; and then they would surely have taken you as a close friend. info

74 : 17

وَلَوۡلَآ أَن ثَبَّتۡنَٰكَ لَقَدۡ كِدتَّ تَرۡكَنُ إِلَيۡهِمۡ شَيۡـٔٗا قَلِيلًا

74. Had We not made you stand firm, you would have nearly inclined to them a little. info

75 : 17

إِذٗا لَّأَذَقۡنَٰكَ ضِعۡفَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ وَضِعۡفَ ٱلۡمَمَاتِ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ عَلَيۡنَا نَصِيرٗا

75. Then indeed, We would have made you taste a double [punishment] in life, and double after death; then you would not have found for yourself against Us any helper. info
