[50]. To the great gathering place, for the Judgment to begin.
[51]. For the acceptance of the righteous deeds it is stipulated that the following two basic conditions must be fulfilled: (a) The intentions while doing such deeds must be totally for God’s ’s sake only without any show-off or to gain praise or fame. (b) Such a deed must be performed in accordance with the Sunnah of God's Messenger Muhammad bin ‘Abdullâh, the last of the Prophets and the Messengers of God. Muhammad, God's Messenger said: "If somebody innovates something which is not present in our religion (of Islâmic Monotheism), then that thing will be rejected." He also said: "Whoever performs a 'good' deed which we have not ordered anyone to do 'or is not in accord with our religion of Islâmic Monotheism', then that deed will be rejected and will not be accepted."
[52]. The disbelievers have to choose the path they take for themselves. Having received knowledge in great detail of both the path of Doom and that of pleasure as depicted in this Chapter as well as throughout the Qur’an so that they might open up their hearts to the Call of Faith, Islam.
[53]. I.e., His unlimited Knowledge, or words describing His attributes and His grandeur.
[54]. People should realize that Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad — the honorable Messengers of God — were human beings like everyone else, knowing nothing of the unseen except what Allāh revealed to them. The most important message revealed to them was that God (Allāh) is One and Only. Therefore, no one should be worshiped or taken as a partner alongside Him.
[55]. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), the last and final Messenger of God, reported that Allāh said: “I am the One most free of need from having partners. Whoever performs a deed while associating others with Me, I abandon him and his act of associating partners with Me.”
A Companion of the Prophet narrated:
“The Messenger of God (ﷺ) once came out to us while we were discussing the Antichrist (Ad-Dajjāl) and said: ‘Shall I not tell you of something I fear for you even more than the Antichrist?’ We said: ‘Yes, O Messenger of God.’ He said: ‘Hidden polytheism — when a man stands to pray and beautifies his prayer because he sees another person watching him.’”
