39 : 19

وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡحَسۡرَةِ إِذۡ قُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَهُمۡ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ وَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

39. Warn them also of the Day of Regret, when matters are decided. And they are heedless, while they do not believe. info

40 : 19

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَرِثُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا وَإِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُونَ

40. Surely it is We Who will inherit the earth and all who are upon it, and to Us they will all be returned [for Judgment]. info

41 : 19

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقٗا نَّبِيًّا

41. And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Surely he was a man of truth and a prophet. info

42 : 19

إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعۡبُدُ مَا لَا يَسۡمَعُ وَلَا يُبۡصِرُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي عَنكَ شَيۡـٔٗا

42. When he said to his father, “O my father, why do you worship that which neither hears nor sees, nor can avail you in anything?” info

43 : 19

يَٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّي قَدۡ جَآءَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَمۡ يَأۡتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعۡنِيٓ أَهۡدِكَ صِرَٰطٗا سَوِيّٗا

43. O my father [9], indeed there has come to me knowledge which has not come to you. So follow me; I will guide you to a straight and even path [10]. info

[9]. That is, Āzar (also known as Terah), the father of Abraham. He served as the chief priest under King Nimrod Shaddād of Babylon and Nineveh and was a skilled master sculptor of idols.
[10]. That is, Islam — the path of right belief in Allāh, free from the worship of images and idols, devoted solely to Him. It is the way of true worship, lawful livelihood, truthful speech, upright conduct, righteous effort and perseverance, mindful awareness, and sincere concentration upon all that draws one closer to Allāh.

44 : 19

يَٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعۡبُدِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَصِيّٗا

44. O my father, do not worship Satan. Indeed, Satan has ever been disobedient to the Most Compassionate (Allāh). info

45 : 19

يَٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٞ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيۡطَٰنِ وَلِيّٗا

45. O my father, I fear that a punishment from the Most Compassionate may touch you, and that you may become a companion of Satan [in Hell]. info

46 : 19

قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِي يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُۖ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ لَأَرۡجُمَنَّكَۖ وَٱهۡجُرۡنِي مَلِيّٗا

46. He said, “Do you reject my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you and drive you away from me for a long time.” info

47 : 19

قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكَۖ سَأَسۡتَغۡفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّيٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِي حَفِيّٗا

47. [Abraham] said, "Peace be on you. I will pray to my Lord to forgive you. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me. info

48 : 19

وَأَعۡتَزِلُكُمۡ وَمَا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّي شَقِيّٗا

48. And I will withdraw from you and from whatever you invoke besides Allāh, and I will call upon my Lord. It may be that in invoking my Lord, I will not be wretched." info

49 : 19

فَلَمَّا ٱعۡتَزَلَهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَۖ وَكُلّٗا جَعَلۡنَا نَبِيّٗا

49. So when [Abraham] withdrew from them and from what they worshipped besides Allāh, We granted him Isaac and Jacob, and We made each of them a prophet. info

50 : 19

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ عَلِيّٗا

50. We granted them of Our mercy, and We made for them a noble reputation of truth and sincerity [11]. info

[11]. It’s fulfilled in how Jews, Christians, and Muslims all revere Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as righteous prophets.
A “tongue of truth” doesn’t just mean fame — it means lasting, sincere remembrance grounded in truth, not in myth or exaggeration. Their honor endures because their mission was pure — calling humanity to worship Allāh alone.
This shows that true honor comes from sincerity and obedience, not power or lineage. When one lives truthfully for Allāh, Allāh ensures their remembrance remains truthful and noble through time.

51 : 19

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخۡلَصٗا وَكَانَ رَسُولٗا نَّبِيّٗا

51. Also mention in the Book [the story of] Moses. Indeed, he was sincerely devoted, and he was both a messenger and a prophet. info
