۞ وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصۡنَامًا ءَالِهَةً إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوۡمَكَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ
74. And [remember] when Abraham said to his father Āzar, “Do you take idols as gods? Indeed, I see you and your people in clear error.”

6
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُوقِنِينَ
75. Thus We showed Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth so that he might be of those who have sure faith.

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلَّيۡلُ رَءَا كَوۡكَبٗاۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّيۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلۡأٓفِلِينَ
76. When the night covered him with [darkness], he saw a star; he said: "Is this my lord?" So when it set, he said: "I do not like those that set [10]."
[10]. This shows Prophet Abraham’s method of reasoning — not that he believed in the star, but that he was demonstrating to his people how irrational it is to worship something that disappears. It’s a lesson in using reflection and reason to reach faith in the Ever-Present Creator.

:
6
فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلۡقَمَرَ بَازِغٗا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّيۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمۡ يَهۡدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
77. When he saw the moon rising, he said: "Is this my lord?" So when it set, he said: "If my Lord [Allāh] does not guide me, I will surely be among the misguided people."

6
فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمۡسَ بَازِغَةٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي هَٰذَآ أَكۡبَرُۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتۡ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ
78. When he saw the sun rising, he said: "Is this my lord?" This is greater. So when it set, he said: "O my people, Indeed I am clear from what you associate [with Allāh in worship]."

:
6
إِنِّي وَجَّهۡتُ وَجۡهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ حَنِيفٗاۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
79. Indeed, I have turned my face toward Him Who originated the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allāh.”

6
وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوۡمُهُۥۚ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّي فِي ٱللَّهِ وَقَدۡ هَدَىٰنِۚ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشۡرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ رَبِّي شَيۡـٔٗاۚ وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عِلۡمًاۚ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
80. His people argued with him. He said, “Do you argue with me concerning Allāh, when indeed He has guided me? I do not fear what you associate with Him, unless my Lord wills something. My Lord comprehends all things in His knowledge [and Power]. Will you not then take heed?"

:
6
وَكَيۡفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشۡرَكۡتُمۡ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمۡ أَشۡرَكۡتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ يُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ عَلَيۡكُمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٗاۚ فَأَيُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلۡأَمۡنِۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
81. "And how should I fear what you associate [in worship with Allāh] when you do not fear that you have associated with Allāh for which He has not sent down on you any Authority? Which then of the two parties has more right to security, if you really know?"
