حَقِيقٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَن لَّآ أَقُولَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَقَّۚ قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِبَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَأَرۡسِلۡ مَعِيَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
105. It is incumbent upon me that I speak nothing but the truth about Allāh. Indeed, I have come to you with clear proof from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel.

:
7
قَالَ إِن كُنتَ جِئۡتَ بِـَٔايَةٖ فَأۡتِ بِهَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
106. [Pharaoh] said, “If you have come with a sign, then bring it, if you are indeed truthful.”

:

فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعۡبَانٞ مُّبِينٞ
107. So he [Moses] cast his staff, and behold—it became a clear serpent [for all to see].

108
:
7
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيۡضَآءُ لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ
108. And he drew out his hand, and behold—it was white [with radiance] for all to see.

:
7
قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٞ
109. The eminent among Pharaoh’s people said, “This is indeed a learned magician.”

:
7
يُرِيدُ أَن يُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُمۡۖ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ
110. He wants to drive you out of your land [by his magic]. So what do you advise?

:

قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرۡسِلۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ
111. They said, “Postpone [action against] him [Moses] and his brother [Aaron], and send into the cities gatherers..."

:
7
يَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٖ
112. So that they may bring you every skilled magician.”

113
:
7
وَجَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ
113. The magicians came to Pharaoh and said, "Indeed, there will be a reward for us if we prevail."

قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
114. [Pharaoh] said, “Yes, and you will surely be among those close to me.”

:

قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُلۡقِينَ
115. They said, “O Moses, either you cast first, or we will be the ones to cast [first].”

قَالَ أَلۡقُواْۖ فَلَمَّآ أَلۡقَوۡاْ سَحَرُوٓاْ أَعۡيُنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱسۡتَرۡهَبُوهُمۡ وَجَآءُو بِسِحۡرٍ عَظِيمٖ
116. [Moses] said, “Cast.” So when they cast, they bewitched the eyes of the people, frightened them, and displayed great magic.

:
7
۞ وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ
117. We inspired Moses, saying, “Cast your staff,” and behold it swallowed up what they falsified.

:
7
فَوَقَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
118. So the truth prevailed, and proved vain what they used to do.
التفاسير:

:
7
فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُواْ صَٰغِرِينَ
119. So they [Pharaoh and his people] were defeated there and returned utterly humiliated.

:
7
وَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ
120. The magicians fell down in prostration, surrendering to Allāh.
