ߞߘߐ ߟߎ߬ ߘߟߊߡߌ߬ߘߊ߬ߟߌ ߝߐߘߊ ߘߏ߫ ߞߎ߲߬ߠߊ߬ߓߌߘߌ߲߬ߟߊ߲ - ߊ߲߬ߞߌ߬ߟߋ߬ߞߊ߲ ߘߟߊߡߌߘߊ - ߊ߳ߺߊߓߑߘߎ߫ ߊ.ߟߟߊ߯ߤߌ߫ ߤ߭ߛߊߣߎ߲߫ ߦߊ߰ߞߎߓߊ߫ - ߞߎ߬ߙߣߊ߬ ߞߟߊߒߞߋ ߔߘߋߞߎ

Al-Ghāshiyah

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 1

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ

1. Has there reached you 'Muhammad' the news of the overwhelming Event?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 2

وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ

2. (Some) faces on that Day will be humbly downcast¹,

1. I.e., the faces of all deniers.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 3

عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ

3. Laboring and exhausted²,

2. Laboring hard in the worldly life by worshiping others instead of Allāh, weary in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace due to their sinful deeds.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 4

تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ

4. burning in a scorching Fire,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 5

تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ

5. Drinking from a boiling hot spring.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 6

لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ

6. There is not for them a food except out of poisonous thorny plant,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 7

لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ

7. That neither nourishes nor satisfies against hunger.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 8

وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ

8. (Other) faces on that Day (of Judgment) will be glowing with joy and freshness,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 9

لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ

9. Well-pleased with their striving,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 10

فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ

10. In a high paradise,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 11

لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٗ

11. They do not hear therein any idle talk.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 12

فِيهَا عَيۡنٞ جَارِيَةٞ

12. Therein is a flowing spring,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 13

فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرۡفُوعَةٞ

13. Therein are raised couches,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 14

وَأَكۡوَابٞ مَّوۡضُوعَةٞ

14. And cups set at hand,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 15

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٞ

15. And 'fine' cushions lined up,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 16

وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ

16. And 'splendid' carpets all spread out.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 17

أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ

17. Do they not look at the camels, how they are created?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 18

وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ

18. And at the sky - how it is raised high?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 19

وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ

19. And at the mountains - how they are erected?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 20

وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ

20. And at the earth - how it is spread out?

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 21

فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞ

21. So keep on reminding (O Muhammad), for you are only a reminder.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 22

لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ

22. You are not over them a compeller (to believe);

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 23

إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ

23. But, he who turns away and disbelieves,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 24

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ

24. Then Allāh (God) will chastise him with the greater Chastisement.

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 25

إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَهُمۡ

25.   Surely to Us is their returning back,

ߟߝߊߙߌ ߘߏ߫: 26

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُم

26.Then surely upon Us is their reckoning3.

3. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said in some of his prayers, “O Allah, bring me to account with an easy reckoning.”
